Victor heard Brian as he talked to Absinthe and then sat in the back. His eyes changed to a yellow hue and his voice contained a heavy Arabian accent. Victor walked to a set next to him looked over at him, "You carry much anger for these humans you refer to," Victor's alternate personality got straight to the point, "You are very narrow minded." He chuckled a bit, "Granted Victor has not had the best experiences, but Victor knows that the Human race fears what they do not understand. So we do not feel anger." Victor changed back to normal and immediately started apologizing, "I'm so sorry, He can be quite blunt at times. I'm sure you are not narrow minded, you have a reason to be angry I'm sure, just don't be mad at me. I can't control what He does, I promise he is a good guy when you get to know him." Victor spoke very quickly and awkwardly, by the time he finished speaking he was out of breath.
Felix sighed, "Don't worry about me, I'm fine." He looked at Victoria, a slight smile appeared on his face, "I'll keep watch during the night, just make sure we're safe." He placed his hand over hers and removed it from his cheek, "I'll set up a fire." With that he walked to the back of the carriage, pulling out supplies and fire wood. He started building the campfire when suddenly he heard a noise from the trees. Upon hearing the noise he ran over to the young girl and stood in front of her, as a way of shielding her from whatever was out there. Felix's eyes squinted as he surveyed the area, he looked back at Victoria, "I need you to stay close to me, if something... or someone is out there, I don't want you to be by yourself."
Markus sighed in relief knowing that she was okay. He blushed a little as she placed her hands on his face and blushed harder as he kissed him. A small smile appeared on his face, his heart sped up. Without even thinking the knight pulled her close and pressed his lips to hers. After a minute he pulled away, realizing what he had just done. He couldn't help but think that he made the wrong move, even if all the signed told him it was right. "I... I'm sorry." He laughed nervously. Markus couldn't think straight and he was starting to panic a little.
Markus wiped around to see Castitas bleeding, "Castitas!" disregarding her being unclothed he ran up so her, covered her with the clothes near the creek and carried her bridal style back to the campfire. He quickly ran and grabbed medical supplies and began treating the wound as best he could. After he was done he sat her up, helped her get new clothes on and sat next to her, "Are you alright? You were bleeding quite heavily, I tried to patch it up as best I can. We won't be able to get you more help till the morning... I'm so sorry, I was just trying to wash my armor, I thought you had gone down farther. I'm a terrible person, I am so sorry." He talked so fast that when he was done, he was out of breath. A few tears weld up is his eyes, which were stuck in an expression of terror and concern.
Markus watched as she walked off to go to the creek. When she was no longer in sight, he went back to staring at the campfire. He sighed resting his forehead in his hand, "What the hell, Markus. She's a priestess, besides... she probably thinks you're a freak anyway." He sighed deeply and laid down where he was seated and watched the sky, listening to the sounds of the creek. The knight realized that his armor was still covered in blood and got up, grabbed a set of fresh clothes, and took advantage of Castitas not being there by changing by the fire. He looked at his armor, Markus needed to wash it before he had to wear it again. He gathered his gear and walked towards the creek. He thought that Castitas was farther down the river so he didn't expect to see what was coming. His eyes widened as he dropped his armor, which made a loud clanking noise, and he immediately turned around. Markus didn't say anything hoping in vain that the priestess would hear him. He couldn't believe what he just saw.... Castitas... nude.... He tried to shake the image from his mind, but it continually popped up in his mind.
Markus thought for a bit and nodded, "Yeah, it does seem that way. What's this hunch you have?" He watched her create a small flame and chuckled as she cheered, but when the flame died he felt kind of bad. He got up, picked up a small rock and grabbed a piece of flint from the supplies they bought, "Here, let me help." He handed her the flint and rock and then took her hands, manipulating them to strike the rock with the piece of flint. It created a spark which turned to a small flame, Markus blew on it, making it slowly turn in to a nice sized campfire. He patted Castitas on the shoulder and smiled, "Good job." He sat near the fire and watched as it glowed.
Markus nodded, "Yeah, that's a good spot." He watched her try to start a fire, with some sort of magic and smiled. "Yeah, I would agree. It seems like just yesterday I had met you for the first time." He sighed a little remembering what had happened that night. When she stopped herself in the middle of asking a question, the knight looked at her with a questioning look. "What?.... Come on, you're not crazy. You can ask me anything." He smiled at her to reassure her.
Markus blushed as her hand touched his cheek, "Y.. Yeah, we're not too far, just a little bit longer and we will be there." He smiled ever so slightly. How could she be so nice and so sweet after watching him almost beat a man to death? He shook his head, the answer didn't matter the point of it was she still showed that she cared. After a while they found the caravan. "Oh, hold on." Markus found a discarded peace of cloth on the ground and wiped the blood of as best as he could. After that, he lead Castitas up to the caravan. They bought supplies, food, some clothing, and some armor, just encase the priestess needed it. Before they left, he noticed a small necklace. I was silver with a golden sun pendent on it. Without Castitas seeing he bought the necklace and hid it, to give it to her as a gift later.
Markus looked at his hand, which now was held in Castitas' hand. He sighed, "I would never hurt you," He looked at her, "I promise you." He knew she was afraid of him during the recent incident, could here it in her voice when she pleaded for him to stop. How was he suppose to be a protector when he flies of the handle so quickly? To be honest, he didn't even know how she had stopped him with just her voice. Would she be able to do it again? or was it just luck? He sighed once again, "I'm sorry you had to see that." He noticed the blood on her legs, "I should have just knocked him out and walked away."
Markus herd Castitas pleading for him to stop and held a fist in the air pausing. He sighed deeply, got of the bandit and threw him forward letting the man limp away. The knight stood head hung, blood covered him. He couldn't bring himself to look at the priestess and he began to walk toward the road once more after picking up and sheathing his sword, "Come on, we don't want to miss the caravan." His voice was quiet and strained, emotional pain emanating from his words like water flowing through a river.
