So now we have the painter. Awesomesauce!Let's get to some feedback.-The ink idea is pretty much the bread & butter highlight of this guy, and I like it!...Yeah. There isn't much to say about him. Good job!

Thank you. :3 Actually, the effect of his handprint IS supposed to be gradual and additive over time. Lol. Apparently I didn't make it clear enough. I'll edit the description (there's a typo in there anyway) for his ability when I get the history in.

I love coming up with abilities. It's so much fun~~~! <3
EDIT: Complete~!

Height: 174 cm (5’ 7”)
Weight: 55 kg (121.3 lbs) <- Don’t try this at home kids. Not a good weight to be in at this height.
His hair color is orange (dyed).

Name: Leroy Yew

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Species/Race: Human

Powers: Synes Ink – Leroy is, without a doubt, a genius. Paintings, wooden carvings, pottery, etc… If it’s art-related, he’s done it. Among the many countless creations he’s made so far, his ink paintings receive the most attention. Using only black, red, blue, and yellow ink he creates works of art that captivates the eye and send shudders down people’s spines. Sometimes literally.

Using ink as his medium, Leroy can make people feel certain emotions by painting pictures, or leaving a mark on the person with his hand. If he paints something with a specific emotion in mind, whoever looks at the painting will experience that emotion. Generally looking away from the painting will allow the emotion to dissipate, but similar to the suspension bridge effect sometimes the illusory feeling he has the person feel can end up triggering their real emotions which tends to linger.

If he leaves a fingerprint on someone after dipping his finger in ink, he can leave them a vague sense of the emotion he wants them to feel. A mere fingerprint is not very strong and it may just leave the person more confused than anything else really, wondering why they suddenly felt a certain way. A complete handprint, however, is much stronger. For example, if he instills ‘fear’ into someone with an ink handprint, they will feel frightened and can later go into a panic attack or even go insane if the mark is left on the person for several days. The handprint initially just makes the person feel the emotion, and over time the effect will grow stronger. Adding more handprints of the same emotions will make the effects stronger, and adding different emotions can produce more complicated effects or result in cancelling each other. Washing the mark away (or removing the piece of clothing the mark is on) will remove his effect on the person, but the emotion the person feels won’t disappear right away.

Weaknesses: He can’t use his ability without ink. He can create a very weak substitute with his blood, but the potency of his power is essentially halved.

Leroy’s sense of touch seems rather ‘dull’ compared to most people. This can sometimes be a source of strength (e.g. he can ignore a lot of pain and keep moving), however usually this causes a lot of trouble for him. It takes him longer to notice he’s injured, meaning he can move that area and make the injury worse. He can go outside in scorching heat and not realize the ‘discomfort’ he feels is actually a sign he’s getting heat stroke until he eventually falls onto the ground.

Perhaps as a result of his dulled touch, he does not handle impairments to his sight very well. For example, darkness. He needs to be able to see properly. Covering his eyes, being in complete darkness, or basically anything that makes him feel ‘blinded’ will make him panic and lash out.

Personality: He smiles warmly, keeps his words and actions polite, and always goes out of his way to reach out to help people. How scary. Leroy’s kindness is not an act, however, the warmth is a lie. He is pointlessly kind, and can be pointlessly cruel in return. A child can selflessly rescue a butterfly from a spider’s web just because they felt it should be done, but another can rip off the butterfly’s wings without feeling a single tinge of remorse or guilt. He is a child without guidance. Innocent, yet cruel.

Background: When he discovered his ability exactly is unknown, but his parents believe Leroy’s behavior began to change around the age of 12, when he was beginning to gain recognition as an artistic prodigy. From experimenting with all sorts of different styles and media, it was around this point that he became oddly focused on ink paintings in particular.

Over the years, Leroy brought many different classmates to his home, introducing them as ‘friends’ coming over to play. But his parents began to notice an odd pattern. After a while, Leroy’s ‘friends’ always stopped visiting and he would bring over new children they had never seen before. At the same time, strange rumors were surfacing about him at school. They said that the people around Leroy always seemed to go mad. His ‘friends’ were always haunted by strange nightmares that persisted even when they were awake, or always laughing and enjoying themselves as if they were within a never-ending euphoria.

His parents talked to him about this issue, and Leroy did not deny these claims and merely smiled at them, telling them not to worry because those children were not actually his friends. Frightened for the first time by their own son, they did their best to understand what his powers were like and to teach him not to abuse it but… To no avail. They sent him off to Athalia Academy, hoping that there was someone that could do what they could not.

3, just 1 left for me if this gets approved. :P
Sounds good to me. :)
Thanking Crash, Kathy left the plates to him. On her way out of the cafeteria, she stopped for just a single moment to look back and see how he was doing. Satisfied that no plate-involved incident occurred, she continued on her way to the dormitories. Someone seemed to be playing music rather loudly somewhere on campus. Well, it didn’t bother her. On the contrary, she rather liked the sound and was glad to hear something other than just her lone footsteps.

Reaching into her pocket, she took out a neatly folded letter with information about her room assignment. “Room 105. That’s on the ground floor right?” She read aloud, feeling a little disappointed. She would have preferred it if she could have had a room on one of the upper floors where she had a better view from the balcony and windows.

“Hello?” Cautiously, she knocked on the door of room 105. Not hearing an answer, she used her I.D. card to unlock the door and stepped inside. “Ah, I must have just missed her.” Kathy could see 2 cardboard boxes near one of the bedrooms and signs that someone had already began unpacking. Entering the other bedroom, she started opening her own luggage crammed into 2 large travel bags. Remember that she should text Crash to leave him her contact information, she got out her phone.

Hey Crash, it’s Kathy. Feel free to text me whenever, and see you later tonight! :)

Sending the text, she resumed unpacking. Forgetting that she had left the door leading to the hallway completely wide open.
<-- Currently reading through the ICs to make her post. Whooo boy, I have a lot to catch up on. ^^"
Sorry for not posting for a bit. Family dragged me along a spontaneous hiking trip. @_@; I'll get back to posting tomorrow, when my blood sugar levels rise above zero again... And when my muscles feel something other than pain.
I seriously love this RP. Everyone's so friendly, and the IC moves on so smoothly~! :DD
Watching Criston and Cyrus leave, she smiled and waved them good-bye. “Yup, see you both later at the party.”

The big grin Crash made while discussing music was contagious. She couldn’t help but smile along with him. “Aaah, makes sense. I had wondered why someone brought drumsticks to the morning speech.” She clapped her hands together once in understanding, having all but forgotten the morning incident at the auditorium until that moment. Then trying to keep a very serious and business-like expression (failing miserably with the corners of her mouth twitching up into a smile) she cautioned, “‘Music’ is actually a second weapon of mine. You see, any time I try to sing or play an instrument, anyone within hearing distance is instantly incapacitated and temporarily loses all sense of reason.” Giving up on the joke, Kathy let her face relax into a natural smile again and shrugged, “I like listening to it, but apparently I have no talent in the music department. As for my forte… I’d say sports? Here I seem to lack a bit in the muscle and power department, but I’ve got good reflexes and my own tricks to make up for it.”

Catching the slight unease in Crash’s expression, she felt her own spirit fall a little. They hadn’t been acquainted for all that long, but it was now apparent that she had already grown quite attached to his grin and cheerful disposition. Even though he returned to normal a moment later, she couldn’t shake off the heavy feeling she got. “… I don’t think you’d do that sort of thing. You don’t seem like someone that would hurt or cause trouble for people on purpose.” Her frown deepened a bit at her own words. ‘Idiot. I’m such an idiot,’ She thought, silently reprimanding herself. ‘Is that the best thing I can say? Wow… Lame, really lame Kathy. A 5-year-old could’ve made a better attempt to cheer him up or something.’

Trying to put her failure behind her, she listened careful to Crash’s next words. ‘Great! Okay, something I can help with!’ Feeling a little guilty she played a part in making him embarrassed, she quickly replied, “N-No! It’s fine, I mean, lots of people get lost in the first week or month here.” Realizing her voice was rising a bit, she quickly made herself calm back down again. She was honestly a little surprised, she couldn’t remember the last time she had gotten so flustered.

Before she could continue, a clatter nearby interrupted their conversation. Seeing a girl with fair hair standing over a mess on the floor, she started to stand up from her seat when Crash gave a motion for her to wait. Remaining in a slightly awkward position at the edge of her seat, she watched as Crash began to defend the girl from the students laughing at her misfortune. The surprise and worry Kathy felt as she watched Crash transform for the first time was washed away in the very next moment as she burst into laughter at the adorable form he had chosen.

Still laughing by the time Crash came back to his seat and transformed back, she had to wipe small tears forming at the corner of her eyes. “Ha ha ha, a-amazing! You actually made them all leave without even getting into a fight with anyone.” Re-adjusting herself back into her seat, she beamed at Crash and gave him a thumbs-up. “Ve~ry scary. So much it’d chase away any nightmares or unhappy thoughts from a single glance.”

Remembering what they were discussing before the sudden incident, she took out her phone. “Let’s meet up a little earlier, and go to the party together. That way it won’t matter if you forget, and we don’t have to worry about searching for each other through a dancing crowd.” After fiddling around with it for a bit, she slid the phone over to Crash with the option to add a new contact displayed on the screen. “Want to give me your number? I’ll text you mine so you can contact me if you need help with something and we can work out the details a little later.” As she waited for his response, Cathy began to pile the empty plates onto her tray. “I’m going to go back to my dorm and get a little unpacking done before tonight. What about you?”
