Tomorrow I'm going to make a rather lengthy post regarding being concise and clear for myself and others that will make several of you upset but must be done, considering there are like 8-12 players in this game and I have 20+ different PM's.

LATE SUMMER UPDATE

SANGUINE WAR OF AGGRESSION (1836-Ongoing)

Battle of Lujdic (1836)
General Varmuth, though ambitious, was simply ill equipped to handle the incoming Kapitan Army. Taken to the field, he deployed his men against the Kapitan Army and fought them tooth and nail, the Sanguine regulars proving to be much more tough than their counterparts. His decision to fall back however destroyed any chance of victory. With his left flank being rolled up by the approach of the Kapitan II Corps, the Sanguine turned into a full retreat, without any semblance of order or structure.

Deploying into lines, the Kapitan II Corps linked up with the Kapitan Army, creating a 58,000 men strong formation that pushed the Sanguine back into Lujdic. With only 5,500 left, Varmuth fought a delaying action for sixteen hours until he was forced to surrender. The Sanguine's attempt to take the entire northern front of Kapitas with only 25,000 men had failed in spectacular fashion. The people of Lujdic danced the night away, much to the chagrin of General Varmuth and his men, now officially prisoners of war.

Battle of Kjudavo Pass (1836)
The Sanguine Second Army under General Bancaster, not to be confused with his younger brother, Captain Bancaster, was leading the first army. A stoic man, he cared a great deal for the glory and honour of his prestigious family. Sweeping into Kapitas along the Muthandian border, he marched 70,000 men and 10,000 cavalry toward the Kjudavo Pass, hoping to break into the more industrialized western steppes of Kapitas.

He was met by the Kapitan Army at the pass however. Less of a pass and more of a political safeguard, the Kapitans had the safety of the Muthandia border on their left and the great mountains on their right. With the greater size of the Sanguine neutralized, they felt better equipped to take on the larger army. The Kapitans had mobilized only 48,000 to the defense of the pass.

The bloodiest affair of the whole war, the Battle of Kjudavo Pass became a ceremonial blood letting as regiments traded fire, were worn down and simply replaced by another regiment. Three times Sanguine cavalry charged against Kapitan lines, only to be repulsed and pulled back. With the sun at it's highest point, General Bancaster finally noticed the Kapitans, having taken over 15,000 casualties slowly withdrawing from the field. The Sanguine Army itself had taken 8,000 casualties on foot and 5,000 on horse. The way to the Kapitan steppes however, was open.

Nehalanian-Sirithi Pact

Greetings,

For too long your people have been on the receiving end of Amazonian raids. Your women captured and your men enslaved. The time has come to rise up against the Amazonian dominance and fight for your people in conjunction with the Nehalenian forces. The Nehalenian king offers the following agreement to the Sirthi people:

1. Arean alliance against the Amazonians
2. Nehalenia will guarantee the Sirthi independence against both aggressors from the old and the new world.

Signed:

[X] King George Therus III

The Sirithi people were unresponsive to the diplomats of King George. As friends to the Amazonians, they understood that the Nehalanians came bringing poor tidings. They turned King George's diplomats aware, and after the meeting the diplomats reported simply being grateful to being allowed to leave Sirithi lands alive.

For many years Nehalenia and Osteria have been good neighbors. However we see the world rapidly evolving and not for the better. This presents both our nations with many new challenges. King George Therus believes that such challenges should not be faced allone. Therefor he proposes a treaty of friendship, trade and look into the possibility of a military alliance

1. Both nations declare their friendship
2. Both nations open up their borders and ports for unrestricted trade
3. (Possibility) A military alliance between the Kingdom of Osteria and the Kingdom of Nehalenia.

Signed:

[X] King George Therus III of Nehalenia
[X] King Karl von Kassitz

King George Therus sees the old world change into a much more dangerous place. War looms as the Sanguine are on an expansionist tour. At sea the Zellon Empire and Skeptoni's become more aggressive by the day. The Nehalenians have always regarded the Maljuk Caliphate as an important trading partner and friend. As token as our friendship we would like to offer these 25 beautiful Amazonian women from the new world as a token of our friendship.

The Nehalenian government also seeks an alliance with the great Caliph. We strongly believe that mutual cooperation is beneficial for both our nations. Allying with a great power will increase your security against Sanguine aggression while our combined naval force will ensure that trade routes will always be open.

1. A military alliance between the Maljuk Caliphate and the Kingdom of Nehalenia

Signed:

[X] King George Therus III
[] The Caliph of the Maljuks

The Caliphates, having had very few political talks with the Nehalanians in the past, saw little reason to ally with a Western power.

North Amazonian Sea

Without any formal declaration of war, the Nehalanian seizure of a Braiyusal trading vessel simply increased tensions. With armed escorts, Braiyusalian vessels sailed past Nehalanian vessels, bringing supplies to the Amazonian coasts while Nehalanians look on in a blatant stupor. Their enemies were being supplied by civilized power and King George was doing little about in. Nehalanian vessels sat in frustration as they watched Braiyusalians unload weapons on the shore then sail away unhindered.

The New World, circa 1836

While both parties were under immense political pressure, the Braiyusalians seemed to have squeezed the upper hand out of the situation as rumors of a Braiyusalian outpost and minor harbor was settled along the North Amazonian coast. This new outpost, though only inhabited by about 800 men with a 100 soldier garrison, was a viable stopping point for Braiyusalian trading vessels, whereas the Nehalanians had to go from Nehalania, to New Nehalania then a two week trip around the coat to the Amazonian shoreline.
Mikasi Tribes are on the Serranthian Map. I need the Launder (might not be the right name) to re-upload his application, because I don't know what page it's on.
Sanguine Empire gonna post?
MID SUMMER UPDATE

Sanguine War of Aggression (1836-Ongoing)
1. Battle of Lujdic (Ongoing)

Impoverished and alienated from the western Great Powers by virtue of distance and culture, the Kingdom of Kapitas existed solely on the basis of it's strong defensive terrain and the fact that simply no one else deemed the land important enough to capture. The Sanguine Empire, a lumbering regional power to the east however, set its sights on the decadent kingdom in the summer of 1836.

Mobilizing an army of nearly 200,000, the Sanguine sent their declaration on July 9th, and by July 15th had crossed the Kapitan border and were headed toward a definitive throw down with the Kapitan Army, itself still attempting to mobilize itself to confront the sudden invasion by its eastern neighbors.

Under the young and ambitious General Varmuth, the Sanguine 3rd Army, numbering only 25,000 regulars with a heavy supply detachment, entered Kapitas through the Karas Forest region. His goal was to capture the northern region, where Sanguine spies had indicated was free of Kapitan military presence. Within two weeks Varmuth forces had captured the provincial capital of Lujdic, while the Sanguine Army elsewhere performed a wild pincer mover to encircle the entire country. It was Sanguine intelligence however, that proved to be wrong. Scouts that discovered an encroaching Kapitan Army alerted Varmuth immediately, and he immediately moved to mobilize his army and meet them in battle. Because his subordinates had earlier requested detachments to help govern the Provisional Government of Kapitan Sanguine, his army was 7,000 men lighter. Regardless, the men were ordered into marching formation and ordered north along the road out of Lujdic.

Battle of Lujdic, 1836

Outside of Lujdic, Varmuth ordered his regulars into a line against the incoming Kapitans. Two hours later, just before noon, riders approached and learned that Kapitans were marching south along the road from the Kapitan Pass in northwest Kapitas and closing on the Third Army fast. Outnumbered and without cannon, General Varmuth's options were limited. Varmuth, if nothing else, knew that his army had been a tertiary force, and even its destruction and his death would not mean much in the grand scheme of the war.
It's all good. I'll wait to see if a few others post, then throw mine up.
