To put it simply, most technology is Columbus Era, but some modern technologies such as the radio have been passed on. If you have any questions on what specific technologies I'll answer them.

History

Mars, a once desolate planet, now it is the home of the human race. It all began on September 1st, 2150. That was the date when the terraforming of Mars finished and the first permanent human populations where set up. The first permanent settlement was made and inhabited by the volunteers by a joint Slavic Republic and United Republics of America coalition.

Millions of immigrants flushed from the home world onto Mars as the politics of Earth began to fall apart. The Fifth World War began and the nuclear holocaust of Earth was the end result. No human was left on Earth by the end things, they either all moved to Mars or died from the radiation.

Mars stayed relatively peaceful because they saw the true terrors of a full on nuclear war. Nuclear war would be the least of the worries of the surviving humans because on the date October 15th, 2320, the Olympus Mons volcano exploded and billions of people would die.

The survivors all became wanderers on the nuclear wintered planet. The eruption on Olympus Mons would kill a total of 4 billion people, leaving around 500 million left to try and rebuild. Lives were not the only thing the Eruption took, it sent human civilization back into the medieval era. The technology that they originally had was nearly all destroyed, with the few who kept it becoming Kings of there own tribes by the time the nuclear winter finally cleared up.

Now the stage is set, the year is 2420, 100 years after the fateful explosion. It is up to you to forge an Empire and possibly become the savoir of Humanity.

Oi, I can already hear you people talking about how Mars is dead and Olympus Mons can't erupt and I get that. I just want a Medieval-like RP on a setting that I don't think has been done before and I believe that one on Mars could be interesting. I'll post the scenario that caused Olympus Mons to erupt later.

I did.

Point is, they're not a "oh i'll eat everyone and flood the galaxy" entity. They're not expansionists, don't have a desire to eat everyone and are more complex than some "I wanna eat everyone for the lulz" archetype.

The part where they kill millions without realizing it is not a thing that happens because they're hungry or expanding. It's far more selective than that.

In other news I have an idea for what my alien will be and I want to know my comrades opinions on it.
Lóāng. They would be a humanoid dragon creatures based off Chinese Dragons and how they acted. So wise. I feel like it would be a good contrast from most most humanoid dragons because they all seem to be warmongering beasts based off the dragons of Europe.
