Claws shot forward and sideways, a flurry of raging blades barely parried, as Kami no Kage was forced backwards. Several times his blade slipped past the wall of metal to make a strike at his opponent´s throat, only to find Magnus diving for his own chest. Forced onto the defensive by this overwhelming aggression, there was little the holy warrior could do but hold his foe at bay, the brick wall rapidly approaching from behind. This was certainly not an ideal situation, but, as Kami no Kage knew well, there was always a way to turn something to your advantage. Some element of the environment that could be turned into a weapon. Of course, in this situation, aid came in perhaps the most unexpected form.

The wall exploded outwards, as a massive white wolf covered in blood broke through it, eyes already focusing on it´s prey. Lady Mo had arrived on the scene.

Moving forward, Kami no Kage closed the distance between himself and Magnus, dropping his sword. A sword was no use in truly close quarters, and Magnus found that even his claws were obstructed as Kami no Kage pressed his body against that of his opponent, hands grabbing the Vampire Lord´s wrists. Magnus, in his rage, was more powerful than Kami no Kage, at the very least in physical strength, but this would only prove to be hid downfall. For even as Magnus ripped and raged and attempted to bite his opponent through the armoured glass of his helmet, Kami no Kage simply flipped him over. His own strength was turned against him, as he found himself hurled into the path of the raging wolf.

Kami no Kage stepped sideways, as Lady Mo barreled past, utilizing his full strength to land a kick on her tendon. This caused the leg to instinctively retract, sending the great beasts crashing to the ground, Magnus nearly crushed by the sheer weight, as Kami no Kage turned to retrieve his sword.

About one hundred assault rifles were aimed at his face. Kami no Kage stopped moving, as he realized retrieving his sword might be more of a problem than he had originally thought. Against two Oldbloods at once, even he didn´t stand much of a chance, unless he could get them to work against one another. But with the addition of a large SOLDIER force, his chances were looking quite grim. His armour could take quite a lot of bullets, but it was not impregnable, and he spotted at least one Anti-Tank Rifle in the group. Calculation of lines of fire showed that he wouldn't be able to dodge much, due to the sheer wall of bullets. The line had been set up at a decent distance, preventing Kami no Kage from jumping into the middle of them, even with his enhanced speed.

What was the best solution to the situation?

Slowly, Kami no Kage raised both hands, even as behind him the two Oldbloods prepared to once more tear into him. The cameras on his vision switched to behind, giving him a good view of Lady Mo ripping apart the remains of the wall she had crashed into, unphased by the impact. His sword was too far away for his magnets to reach, and Magnus was already eyeing the belt of daggers around his chest and hips, knowing at what speed Kami no Kage could throw.

[I surrender.]
Back. Mischa is accepted, sorry for being so slow to react. Got a bunch of things going on IRl, conspiring to suck up all my free time.
@Wraithblade6
Well, I was planning on starting out with a bit of a fight scene. Give everyone a chance to show off their splosions, and then see if I can get them to stick together.
@Teoinsanity

One question. If Melody is a sentient crystal, how the Hell is it Female? Since when do Crystals have a gender?
@Zetsuko
Everyone is free to make a faction, provided you run it past me first. You've already done that, though, so we'll see what becomes of it.
@Zetsuko
Nope. The city consists of both humans and demons. There are several demons ON the Overseer Council. The Overseer Council is simply the Mafia, it controls everything because it's members are the biggest, baddest monsters around. The meta gangs are more like modern gangs, and mostly consist of crazed murderers and serial killers. With superpowers.
Even as the Child of Light collapsed, both combatants turned. A volley of orbs struck Barto's personal rubble-pile, nearly blasting him to pieces as the bubbles of compressed air released their charge explosively, ripping apart stone and flesh. Luckily for him, however, the figure clad in black metal raised both hands, the gauntlets turning into what appeared to be dual miniguns.

With a crackling of energy, the very fabric of reality ripped open. A giant purple tear in spacerevealed itself in the middle of the street, as a massive rotating disk moved slowly through it. Upon the disk sat three robed figures, hoods obscuring their faces. Eight long and spindly legs revealed themselves from below the disk, as the disk turned out to be a disk-shaped demon, several 2-dimensional eyes moving across it's surface as it observed the battlefield.

With a war cry, 3 figures dressed in ripped clothing and human flesh jumped from the alleys, flames and lightning flowing across their bodies along the runes they had cut into their flesh. A meta gang of sorcerers, who used their own lives to fuel deadly spells. Shrieking skulls launched themselves at all parties indiscriminately, as red mists coalesced into howling figures, summoned forth directly from Hell. They were intent only on the deaths of all those involved.

The Children of Light were the keepers of the law, and bastions of order in Aegis. But few realized just how serious a change their presence made, until they witnessed one being taken down.
Speaking of which, do you and Grey have any subtle plans for moving the action to Britain?
I have a lot of material to work with, luckily ^^

This is why you need splosions. Splosions make everything cooler. Blow up the jet or something, I guarantee it'll make the scene more interesting, if nothing else.
Even as Void burst through the flames, those not equipped with flame throwers dashed away. A split second decision was made, as Void's clawed hand ripped through the Kevlar the man had been equipped with, pushing deep into his chest. The three others knew they would soon follow, as Void turned, already expecting to move on to the next kill. He found said kill rushing towards him, as one of the three grabbed him in a bear hug. It was not the force of the hug that was dangerous, it was a mere human competing against a vampire. However, the weight of the impact pushed Void off of his feet, and onto the floor, the human on top of him.

'Ware Kami Ire Ikte!'

With this shouted phrase, the two others unleashed a torrent of flame on the prone Void. The man who had pinned Void down screamed for a mere second as his flesh was burnt to a crisp and his blood was boiled from his veins. The world was reduced to a white blur of pain and heat, flames rushing over Voi'd long-dead skin, as he kicked the corpse off of him.

That was when he realized that both of the men were standing next to him, almost as if they wanted to tackle him again. He'd be ready of course, and he already knew he would rip them apart the moment they entered arm's reach.

Then he noticed they were holding hand grenades.

Oh shit.

-----------------------------------------------

The Purge were stuck. On one side there was Martin and his squad, guarding the route to the plane. Furthermore, incoming transmissions indicated Void was in that direction. But from the back came a horde of ravenous wolves, lead by none less than Lady Mohawk. They had come here to fight SOLDIER, not to fight vampires and wolves. Bullets flew, as the Purge desperately attempted to take cover. But they were hemmed in, and with the supporting fire from SOLDIER, they never truly stood a chance of surviving.

They realized this, of course.

Screaming, a Purge agent jumped into the middle of Martin's SOLDIER army, a hand grenade in each hand. Bullets struck him in the chest, in the arms and legs, and even in the face. And yet he kept running, the grenades exploding in the center of the now panicking men. Purge agents jumped onto the wolves, fighting on with half their body removed, motivated by some inhuman insanity. Several werewolves exploded together with their prey, as they soon learned that any Purge agent would rather blow themselves up than be eaten. Supporting sprays of bullets prevented any form of tactical retreat from the now spreading threat of suicidal maniacs.

They were going to die, so they might as well deal as much damage as they could. Smiling and praying, they leapt to their deaths. In their madness they were unstoppable, nearly undying, as if they themselves had become undead. Explosion after explosion sounded as screaming SOLDIER agents ran, realizing that this was not war. It was not a battle. It never could be.

This was a mutual massacre.

--------------------------------------------------------

Three small holes pierced the layered glass scales that formed the Tetsuo Karada, the specialized armour wielded by Kami no Kage. They revealed what appeared to be deep black skin, pierced by Magnus' claws. The wounds weren't deep, although it was hard to tell. And yet something was distinctly wrong about them. Magnus found himself staring, as he noticed not something, but rather the absence of something. It was actually rather disturbing.

Why was Kami not bleeding? What WAS Kami no Kage?

Of course, it was at that point that he realized something far more fundamental. This was a fight. And in a fight, especially with an opponent such as Kami no Kage, it was a fool's mistake to get distracted. This realization came in the form of dagger, as it's point buried itself in his left eye socket, the force behind it knocking him off it's balance, the crucifix-shaped blade burning as it penetrated his skull, digging into his brain and making the whole world spin.

Kami no Kage spun forward, as a wall of guns prepared to fire, a series of firing arcs so diverse and so dense that no humanoid-shaped opening presented itself. As he stretched out his hand, the magnets activated and the sword spun into his grip. He grabbed a hold of the hilt of the dagger in Magnus'eye as he used it to pull Magnus in front of me. Hundreds of bullets filled the air, Magnus' undead body absorbing hundreds of bullets, shielding Kami no Kage from them. The blade moved to Magnus' neck, as Kami no Kage steered the vampire around as a shield.
