Just a random guy, doing random things. Main RP: Hell's Coffee Lounge Current RPs change often enough that it's too much effort keeping a list of them updated.

Shiro nods his head, although of course Thasseldar would not see it. "My portals can't transport people other than myself. And I'm not entirely sure I could link one to you, even if I was able to assist. However, I may have another solution." Shiro looked at the forces that were even now advancing on the stranger's location. He could take down a couple, but mere brute force would not be sufficient in this situation. "Can you distract them? If you give me some time, I may be able to take them down." Projecting his Absolute Eye, Shiro immediately went to work. He replaced the earth under the pavement with explosives, slowly filling up the street with his powers. This would take a while however, and 30 seconds certainly wasn't enough. He'd need a minute at least, preferrably two.

Allow me to explain why this is a problem.

Without magic absorption, wireman is already more powerful than I would normally allow for a character. He's near indestructible, immensely fast and immensely strong. He's capable of holding his own against beings such as Drac and Bahamut, and due to his form physical attacks become useless. Any character that's immune to physical attacks only has 1 remaining weakness: magicall attacks. Which become completely useless when said character can absorb magic. So unless you guess the magic green rock Tyki has thought up, it's impossible for any character in HCL, no matter how powerful, to beat him.

You see that problem?

In summary: Nothing can kill him, he can kill everything.

Arcus wasn't overpowered because I interpreted magic fairly strictly, and because he wasn't immune to physical damage. If you were a magic user like the Hekate sisters, you could still fight him off by throwing things at him using magic. Make sure the magic isn't the direct source of the damage, but rather channel it through something physical. Furthermore, things like Soular manipulation and enchanted weapons could still harm him. He was a dangerous foe to be sure, but far from unbeatable.

Clawman isn't overpowered because his physical capabilities are low compared to most characters, and because his weakness is literally the most popular trapping for attacks ever. Pretty much every character has easy access to fire of some kind, meaning that any character has a good chance of defeating him. Furthermore, his weakness makes sense and is a logical extrapolation of his form. Unless wireman's great weakness is scissors, I doubt Tyki's weakness is of the same nature.

TL;DR:
Tyki, if you don't nerf your character I will be forced to interject forcefully. I allowed this character despite my misconceptions, despite the realization that magic absorption was overpowered. Because I was under the impression that it was beatable. Unless it is either nerfed, or someone makes me aware of a way it can be defeated, I'm having void teleport a black hole onto it.
@Tyki
Giving a character a singular weakness does not make them somehow not overpowered. Especially if it's something stupid. You already have a character that can negate most magical attacks. That means it ignores pretty much all attacks in HCL. However, now it also has the speed and strength to outmatch Bug when he goes Hulk? That's stupid.

In any case, we need to have a chat about this.
Have your big bad do something subtle. Have him do something that surprises the players. Make a move on something they like, raise the stakes, give them a glimpse at a larger whole.
Tyki. You don't get to instawin in a battle with some of the most powerful being in the Multiverse. I chose not to nerf your wire thing's abilties before, knowing that magic absorption was OP as shit. If necessary, however, I will kill it right here and now. If you don't staop making this thing the next Darkside, I'll be forced to one-shot it.
@Holding Coal

Yo. Your character is accepted.

However, you may find that the power level of most of the rp is a bit above that of your character. Your character is a lethal hunter in most sci-fi universes, but here a lot of the characters are literally gods, or at least godlike. The Omegans are capable of flattening an entire city with a single blast.

That's not to say there isn't a more low-powered area, where you'd find people you can contest with. However, I would recommend that you avoid messing with beings such as the Omegans, Bob, anything played by Tyki, and Tiny's 'Drac' characters.

Characters closer to your level of power are Mithias (A badass vampire warrior with minor pyrokinesis), Julia (Bob's shapeshifting daughter), Killroy (A cyborg with a soul), Tsubaki(Crazy psycho techno bitch), and individual Sergal(furries).

Should I create a post to intro you to the lounge? You'll begin in Bob's coffee shop, which is what this rp is named after, because everyone begins there. But it might be easier if I create a point where you can easily interact with it, create an environment so you know what's going on.
Shiro glared at the demon that had appeared behind him. He had been offhandedly observing Abbadon's actions from afar, but he hadn't the concentration to do so with any regularity. From what he'd seen, however, the demon appeared to be fighting on their side. Whatever the reason behind this, it didn't sit well with Shiro. The idea that a demon would act in an altruistic manner contradicted everything the veteran knew, and he certainly didn't like surprises.

"I don't know how to create any such thing. If you haven't noticed, my portals are very much linked, and ususally quite visible." Shiro was half tempted to tell the demon to go tell it's pal where it could stuff it's portal. But there were too many lives at stake here for him to give voice to what his stubborn pride demanded. He would investigate this issue later, when there was less urgency. "What are you trying to do? I might be able to help." The question wasn't posed to Abbadon, but rather at Tasseldar. A portal had opened next to Shiro's mouth, and he was using it much like a phone. Projecting his voice across long distances.
Sorry to spam the thread with all this. We should probably stop talking about YGO on a roleplay forum. However, Krein. If you have Steam, tell me your Steam name. Might make it easier to arrange a duel if we have an easy method of communication.
@Krein Aaaaah, Evilswarm. I have little experience with Steelswarm, but Evilswarm are hilarious.

"That's a nice monster you have there. Mine!"

Although if you want something really dangerous, you should try fighting Monarchs, or Raidraptors, or Yosenju. The Raidraptors recently got a s/t negate card, and the archetype is becoming dangerously powerful.

My personal main varies, right now it's X-Sabre. They're kinda old-fashioned, but I like the way they roll. You can pull off some sweet combos, and they're masters at brute force.

I use DN, mostly. YGOPRO is sometimes useful for testing decks solo, but that's about it. My DN name, surprisingly enough, is Thewizardguy.
Nevermind, just posted.
