@Ardent Dawn You, my dear, have done a wondrous thing in Rebeca's eyes. We are going to have to do something together now, and Seras should prepared to have her ribs bruised after the parade. Assuming Rebeca doesn't die of laughter, of course.

I personally like that aspect really though it would still likely give them a serious case of diarrhea because their bodies are trying to get rid of the excess, useless stuff that they can't digest or use. Which is a biological function. Nice article there though scrolling through the posts, I noted the mention of Garrison not needing a special wine in ME2?!? 0_o I don't recall that but likely don't remember as it's been a while since I played the game.

It could easily be a toss-up between the writers not knowing how amino-acids exactly work, or they did know and just decided to change the rules for ME to make things more interesting.

Yeah, in ME2 the end of his romance arc has him buying Shep a cheap bottle of wine as part of his awkward attempt at seducing her. "The best I could get on a vigilante's salary". He apparently only got one bottle, so if the whole amino-acid thing is correct one of them wasn't going to be drinking that night. It gets a nice call-back in ME3 when he does it again, but this time he can afford the good stuff.

Considering humans have been isolated while Asari, Turian, Krogan and others have been in close range with one another or at least interacting, you think they would have similar biological needs. OR have a food made that they all could eat without issues.

forum.bioware.com/topic/319407-dextrol.. I don't know how accurate this guy's science is, but I do know that food and nutrients are a lot more complicated than one would think. I imagine that it's just hard to create non-Earth sentient species, since it's so heavily dependent upon the environment they evolve in.

Indeed, though this is why we need two cooks onboard really. One for Levo, and another for Dextro though... Are asari and drell levo or dextro? It never really states in the game either way, but I assume levo due to fact they eat similar foods. Krogans I believe are levo, though they could likely eat anything and still be alive... XD

For Asari I assume levo as well, but I think certain aspects of that don't pose the same problem for them as it would for others.
I'm really just waiting to see if Dex responds, because otherwise I would just be restating that Tia telling them to land in Orahu District, and that would make for a really short post.
You'd be surprised at how difficult it is to enjoy someone's company when you spend the whole time thinking "how is this person going to screw me over".

It would still be a concern of Tia's, since she's learned to be kind of paranoid. It's the same reason why she'll still wear parts of her armour even when she clearly doesn't need to (often sleeping in the stuff).

I also really don't want to have to change what I wrote, so could we say that it might have been true at one point, but that things have changed since she was last on Omega? It has been 20 years or so.
@Thundercrash Don't worry, everyone I know here's pretty much the most relaxed and fun people you can meet. Hell, Trickster's brand spankin' new to roleplaying! We're popping her RP cherry (sorry Fallen, hands off. I will use the squirt bottle) with this very game, as a matter of fact. It's part of why I joke around a lot and have silly responses, I want to let people know this is a fun place to enjoy yourselves and have a nice friendly relationship with the other players. I've seen so many OOCs where it just comes across as all business and I think that kind of dries up people's enthusiasm. I think everyone here is definitely on board with having a fun OOC, so don't feel like you have to feel excluded or anything like that. :)

I'm not great at dealing with people in the first place, for exactly the reason that we're having this conversation (little too afraid that people won't understand what I'm trying to say and then things escalating from there), but I'm getting better. Those who know me know that I'm a rather snarky bastard once I relax more. And all I'm looking to do is enjoy myself.

@Fallenreaper This is really the reason that Tia made her deal with the Eclipse and is so desperate not to break it: she's good in a fight and difficult to take down, but if people keep trying then eventually somebody will succeed. Her greater experience than Vellios would give her an advantage, but it would be a small one, and not something that she would be willing to stake her life on. Compared to most of the asari that I'm sure we'll encounter, Tia is still an amateur.

I've done a few RP's before, but this will be my first ME attempt. The whole "longer view" idea interested me, and I'm really just feeling this character out as I go along. I don't know for sure what she'll do until the moment I have to write it. Plus, I think we all know how easy it is to fall into the "raar, my character's an uberbadass who can kill a thresher maw bare-handed and blind" mindset.

Depending on how things turn out, though, Tia just might take Vellios up on that offer. Both the sparring one and the more personal relationship. What I figure, it's been probably 70 years or so since she last "embraced eternity".
@Thundercrash And that's fair, but I think you might have missed the tone of the conversation, and understand how your reply might have been taken as somewhat antagonizing. I know all too well how nuissance of tone can be lost over test, so no worries, but I definitely want to cut off potential drama before it happens.

We're all friends here. Now, Vellios, Tia, kiss. *smashes two dolls together while making childish smooching sounds*

Also fair. I suspect a large part of the confusion comes from the fact that I'm a newcomer, whereas several of you seem to have worked together frequently before. You can have a fairly good idea of what each other means, but I'm the unknown. I can understand how you would feel the need to be a little cautious.

Just better hope that Tia doesn't find that doll. She'd be rather tempted to burn it
@Dervish If that's how I came across, then I apologize. It initially started as my commenting on how I figured my character would react in those circumstances, and then my mind progressed into "what if" territory. I did not mean to appear aggressive, nor did I think that that was how I appeared. I do try my best to be nice, and unfortunately I am not always successful.

I find that is one of the drawbacks of doing things on the net; it's really easy for things to be misinterpreted.

This is about the only part I disagree on, mainly if experience in years always trumps then Shepherd and his/er crew should have never won against Benezia or her commandos.

Yeah. I wouldn't say it's a trump card, but I think it would certainly tilt things in one's favour. Let's just say that it would be a very intense fight, and whoever won still wouldn't be in very good condition afterwards.
