When I saw 'Fellowship-esque' I just mean the roleplay is going to be following a group of adventurers who are on a dire quest.

A dragon/human hybrid... do you mean the connection with her 'pet dragon' has made her half-dragon/half-human, or are you one of those people who theorize the idea of human-dragon intercourse? If it is the former, that is fine; if it is the latter, I don't even want to begin explaining why I dislike that. So if your dragon-like side of things are cause of your connection to the dragon, go ahead but I'll have to check it out first.

More infor on the story, the kingdoms, the elves, beast races, the Dreadlord, and the plague will come later. This was just a simple jotting of ideas.
I am currently running Darkstar and will probably join The League, so I'll be busy but I wanted to throw this out there.

It's your standard Tolkien-fantasy setting. You have men, elves, and beast races (no dwarves in this roleplay).

Something bad has happened to this world. A terrible, terrible event known as (name pending) 'the Plague'. The Plague is a terrible curse beset by one of the 'Lords' (the Lords are sort of like demi-gods; they're not full-on gods, but they're divine beings, like angels/demons). It caused widespread famine, destruction, and chaos. Livestock unreasonably died, crops wilted, citizens died of illness in the streets (think Bubonic plague, but a thousand times more worse), and whole cities were abandoned, burned, and there were times when the still-living infected citizens were left inside to be burned alive. It was a horrible event and wiped out a large portion of the world's population. after that the Dreadlord invaded. His fearsome horde of demonic-esque warriors invaded the continent, practically rolling over the entire land with sheer ease. What was once a beautiful, varied world is now a desolate, empty, charred, and dangerous wasteland covered in ash, smoke, and rubble.

The elves were doing better than others due to their magic, but the Dreadlord knew they'd be a problem and so he has set fire to their homes and nearly pushed them out of their lands; the elves only number in the low thousands now and are on the verge of extinction. The kingdoms of men were devastated and erupted in chaos and confusion; only about twenty-thousand of them remain. The tribal races... well, let's just say only a few more tribes are left still standing, and they're basically nomads now; entire species of the beast races are now extinct.

Alright, so the story is going to put a lot of emphasis on death, grief, sadness, guilt, regret, loss, heartbreak, and whatever else can be deemed 'depressing'. The entire theme of this roleplay is to make sure it is depressing. Anything that can go wrong, DOES go wrong. Innocent people - including women and children - have been butchered, dismembered and left in the streets to rot. People are burned alive, and the crying of helpless citizens are now a common sound. Everywhere you look people are starving, they fall over and die due to the exhaustion, hunger or dehydration. Families are torn apart as they fight over what little supplies they have left.

You play as some broken, lost, poor individual. As one of the last few thousand good people left in this world, you will band together with a ground of heroes to seek out this Dreadlord, destroy him, and restore peace and prosperity to this broken land... but the road is dangerous, and even if you succeed there's no guarantee you will rebuild. You will make hard choices, you may argue and bicker, may even fight amongst yourselves. Not everyone will make it, so be prepared.
Saw it, thought it was fine, but definitely not the best Marvel movie ever, like some have been saying.
MrDidact, the Red Assassins can be enemies in the roleplay if you want. I'll try to explain them more in-depth later on the Rogues Gallery.

And I'll probably shift some things around on Red Lace; but don't worry, it won't be major (I might remove the ability to summon weapons, for example). Nothing to make her OP.
I still need to re-read a lot of the background first.

Red Lace's phasing power can only allow her to vanish and reappear in a nearby location at the moment. As a support power, she will later be able to share this power with nearby allies and 'phase' them to a safer area. When it gets stronger, she may be able to teleport to an entirely new location if that's fine with you; if that's OP, maybe it causes her to pass out.

Also, to make her more of a support character, maybe she can one day extend the effects of Red Fury and buff her allies with similar powers, making nearby friends much faster.
The darkness hinders her vision, but she can feel them around her. The cold air chills her to the bone, but it doesn't bother her. It's quiet, but she can hear the subtle and deft movements of her enemies. There's at least four of them within striking range, maybe three more moving in. She performs a split, falling to the ground as a quick jab flies over her head. She extends both arms out to her side, her palms delivering painful strikes to the guts of two assailants. They let out a short cry and fall to the ground. In a quick maneuver she spins and rises back to her feet, now facing the first attacker who has thrown another jab. She leans to her right, grabs his extended arm with her left hand, then delivers a powerful upward thrust with her right hand, breaking the arm at the elbow. She yells in pain. The fourth opponent behind her manages to grab her around the neck and tries to contain her. She lifts her legs up and slams them downwards, disrupting the balance of the assassin and sending both falling forward. With no constraints she rolls forward, delivering two heel-kicks into the assassins face as she performs the flip.

Four down. Three to go.

Calling upon the powerful magic the Red Laces give her, she summons forth a rope dart. With a flick of her wrist the dart finds its target, slipping through the neck of her target. By this moment the other two are upon her, but her elegant swiftness allows her to dodge their blows, roll to the side, and entangle their ankles with the rope. With a swift upward motion she sends both assassins crashing to the ground. The rope dart vanishes in a red haze and two daggers appear in her hands. It takes one final flick of both wrists to end the lives of the remaining assassins.

She steadies herself, listening. Nothing. Within seconds she vanishes, leaving behind another cold trail for her pursers.

Your expectations are either too high, or you're looking for something in the wrong genre.

My expectations was to high. Well, I was going into it expecting one thing and I was initially disappointed with what I saw. A day or two later I started to taker the movie for what it WAS and not what I WANTED it to be.

Star-Lord, Groot, Nebula, and Yondu were my preferred characters, although Nebula and Yondu didn't get as much screentime as I wanted them to, but they weren't important enough to get that screentime, so that's just me, not the movie's fault. I really wanted to like Gamora and Drax but I felt like something was off, not sure why though. The comedy was actually pretty good, but I didn't much like the dancing parts of the movie, especially at the end. Ronan looked and felt like a cheap villain and I didn't much care for him. While the CONCEPT of the plot was good (a team of outlaws forming out of mutual benefits), I didn't much care for how it occurred throughout the film.

One thing I can give praise to is that the characters were all very different, unique, and varied and offered something different to the table. Not to mention the fact that each character played a pivotal role in the outcome of the movie and no one got the Hawkeye treatment. The movie was a fresh break from the standard Marvel films.

But still, I'd only rank it a 7/10 for Marvel. Captain America 2 was 10/10, Avengers is 9/10.
Hope so, I wanna get my ass kicked.

Huh. Are these Red Laces magic then?

Yes. They have magical properties. This is what makes them impervious to damage so they can't burn, rip, or tear. While in Red Fury, the Red Laces are giving magical powers to the wearer.

Legit question: if you cut off one of her hands while she's wearing the Laces, what happens

The magical abilities she has acquired would go away. You need both of them to enter Red Fury. She's probably retreat from the battle.

I'll be editing Red Lace's bio here soon.

EDIT: Re-read Red Lace's bio. It is 'finished' but can probably be edited in the future to make it look better (needs to be revised and whatnot).
