Jeanne had skirted around the obscured outskirts of the village. Gotta get to the other exit before the archers do, the thief muttered to herself. Jeanne ducked between two buildings and drew her sword.

The archers had turned tail, just as Hugh had hoped. Jeanne hoped to high heaven that their panic soured their aim. Jeanne signaled with a nod to Gaius from across the exit.

"Going somewhere?" Jeanne taunted, jumping out from behind the buildings and running to intercept the archers. Of course, Jeanne was but a single person, and somewhat average in terms of stature; if not for her blade, the archers would close in upon her and simply shove her aside.

Of course they had to nock their arrows and fire. Jeanne ducked as arrows sailed overhead. "Whoops, you missed me," she joked. She ran with her blade to attack the archers up close; hopefully she would get sufficient cover from the fledgling tactician as she did.

Habeen Nocta

Habeen, upon hearing the violent banging of Sanguin's blade, looked over at the group of thieves accosting both her and Lilith. As Lilith cut down two of the thieves, Habeen licked her thumb and fingered through the pages of her textbook. She raised her hand upon reaching the Mire page and the white circles materialized around her arm once more.

Lilith's furious swearing alerted Habeen to the presence of the last few thieves running like squirrels. "Oh, well. They could have gone quietly," Habeen said with a shrug. She pointed at the fleeing thieves and the air around them bubbled into that same corrosive foam. They shrieked as their skin blistered from the chemical reaction. "Can't run so well with the mire eating at your legs, can you? Ha-ha!"

Lucina nodded. "Fair enough," she said, shrugging. "I know people with a fair share of their own quirks."

Lucina perked up at the mention of the "other guest." Then she jumped at the sight of Marisa's attempt to make her assailants "TASTE THE RAINBOW, MOTHAF**KA!!!"

"Gods! What in Naga's name was that?!" Lucina helped. "Wait, don't answer that. I suppose that is the somewhat-less-compliant other-anomaly you spoke of." Lucina placed a hand on her sword. "Should this other cause any difficulties or dangers to the people, I should think that I'll help to subdue it."

King Dedede

"So, to put a halt to these plague-spreading perpetrators... First thing, I presume: establish that we don't touch the tainted blood, right?" Dedede mused. "Then, we examine anything that looks even slightly suspicious?"

Dedede hefted his hammer. "Well," the king said, twisting the handle of his mallet on his shoulder, "I suppose we oughta go check it out, eh?"
