Not so sure I agree with this facebook stuff anymore. I'd rather go back to pretending everyone on here wasn't... well, you know what I mean ;)

It's my Birthday. I am drunk, and will get worse as the night draws in. That's... that's all. Now all I need is an option to post all the messy photos :P

Looks like we'd have to agree to disagree. It's no fault of yours, but my time in roleplayerguild hasn't been worthwhile. 3 dead RPs in the span of a few weeks, my gosh! Anyhoo...

1) I didn't say that he had special training. I've emphasised that they were only outfitted differently, and hastily as I might add, with some makeshift BACKWARD technology. Yes, they've gone backwards. What training they have would have been at the most on-the-spot consistently only of experience and maybe some quick briefings on new SOPs and combat doctrines. They were tried and true as the days rolled by.

2) So an American in foreign soil is believable but a person from another nation on American soil isn't?

3) Don't forget that we have planes, helicopters and even ships. The last one is much more old tech but still would have accounted for the mobility.

4) EDIT: I found a solution for my character and that is to place him in the United States before the outbreak. They were in a joint military training exercise with the US military, the outbreak happened and his unit was quickly outfitted to fight the dead either using airdropped supplies or locally procurred supplies. But like I said, don't matter now.

That said, I'm afraid my plans have changed and I won't be joining this RP. Like I said, it's not your fault entirely. I've got real life stuff, I've yet again been disappointed by roleplayerguild. I feel that we're different in thoughts and opinions which will lead to lack of trust, disagreements and conflict. Lastly, the style of your RP, in the end, is risky to me - this is partly proven by the failure of the last 3 zombie RP I'd been involved in.

Thanks for considering me though. We knows? We might meet again under different circumstances.

I think you were too entrenched around the idea of playing a Japanese soldier of the Japanese Self-Defence Forces. If the nationality was what mattered, then you could have easily made him a tourist, a refugee or a green card holder. However, something about playing as a member of Japan's highly reserved and restricted armed forces, thousands of miles away from home, obviously appealed to you in some way.

I also think that your want for having him specialise in zombie killing was also at odds with the spirit of the story, considering we're in the early days of the outbreak. I mean, a military wouldn't fall back to the use of melee weapons as their primary means of dealing with the walking dead. Why would they go out of their way to put their men in hand-to-hand combat with them? Trust me when I say an AK-47, as old as it is, would be much more effective in taking down zombies. Think of it, you could kill them from range, without putting yourself at risk! Hell, add a silencer to it, and you've got a God damned lethal zombie dropping machine for use in all situations.

Yet the Japanese army say, naw fek this, and equip their guys with swords, spears and shields. If there was an ammo or material shortage, then sure that'd make sense - but there isn't. Like, if this RP was set a year after the current setting, then I would probably expect that kind of weaponry. However, in this setting, it just wouldn't fit. Besides, as zombies can be sliced and diced until decapitation, a hammer of some kind would probably be the weapon of choice - the same as it was in medieval times, when coming up against heavily armoured opponents whose only real weakness was their head. Not to mention that a sword would blunt after a while, and that it'd likely get stuck at some point.

But I guess that's all I have to say on the whole matter. You have your opinion, I have mine.

Word of advice though, you should try and branch out your character scope. Looks to me like you've tried to play that same character in those three RPs - don't you get bored of going through the same motions? I get that people dig anime, and love Japan's traditional samurai culture, but trust me, get a globe, spin it, stop it with your finger and wherever it has landed, that's where your next character comes from. You'd be surprised how refreshing it is to play a Nigerian next to the usual suspects. Also, if your finger lands on an ocean, you can play as a merman, which is OMFG fun.

All the best!

I will not be posting for a couple of days. Some irl stuff has happened and I just need to cool my head off a bit

Alright. Don't go do anything crazy, like buy a large tub of strawberry sherbet - because trust me, it might look like a good idea at the time, but it isn't. Also the stuff doesn't store very well, and goes hard after a month.

Just read all the new posts, and I have to say guys: nice work! Especially Trilli, taking into account his character's medical complications.

I also liked the hospital flashback, made for an entertaining read.

But yeah, good job all round. I'll give Easy a chance to post before I throw more crap at the characters :D

Done..

With regret and my apologies I must withdraw from this storyline. You may kill or use Aristobus as A NPC if you wish. The best of luck to you all..

Just saw this.

That's a shame, but no problem. Thanks for being up front about it.

All the best.

No, I don't think that's how the game works. I think the idea he likes is that you can create whatever you want. Move the story as you wish. He'll only step in when 1, the player hasn't posted in 3 days, or 2, there's been a lull and the GM wants to move the plot ahead, so he'll powerplay any or all characters as necessary. Otherwise, you can do whatever to the NPCs and the world. He doesn't always or necessarily dictates the consequences of your actions (if it's within the realm of the IC reality) if that's what you're thinking. So post if you want. :)

Couldn't have said it better myself. I might print-screen this and frame it in the first OOC post :P
The bandits cursed as the Breton woman flew from their grasp, levitating herself behind a big pine tree. An arrow whistled by her, and a second followed, but fell short.

"Leave her, we'll get the wench later!" said the middle bandit. He turned to sneer at the Khajiit. "Gentlemen? Do we look like gentlemen? I'm going to enjoy carving you up, cat man!"

Two of the bandits rounded on Jo'Resfo, and began circling him. The one giving orders turned his attention to Aristobus. "Any last words, Imperial?" he said through gritted teeth. "Shoulda stayed south of the border. Nothing but death up here for your ilk!"

Deejaza peered out over the melee from her hidden position behind some elevated shrub. The Collector's envoy had said there were others assigned to gathering the bottle of mead, and she had thought that impossibly odd. Why so many people for a lousy bottle? Why pay so much for it?

The smouldering ruins of Helgen suggested an eery answer: perhaps there as no more of the stuff, not the same local brand in any case. What had happened here anyway?

Nevermind. A Dunmer lay on the ground, blood pooling around his lifeless body. The Envoy had mentioned one such agent in the group. A Breton woman had thrown down the Levitation Act quite shamelessly as the melee had begun, and Deejaza smirked at the sight of her.

Crafty. But it wasn't doing much for the hapless Khajiit, who was perhaps seconds away from being turned into dog food.

The clanking of armour rattled behind her, and she cast a backwards glance. Reesh greeted her with a nod - the two had met up a couple of hours earlier on the road, and he seemed an able companion from their short introduction. She motioned him over, and pointed at the bandits as they circled the Khajiit, and then the Imperial who was backing away from what was presumably the bandits' leader.

Reesh gave the scene a brief analysing glance, and then with a nod, casually descended down to the gate with his mace held low and his shield high.
Done putting in my Char.

I'm willing to wait for other characters to be made before being thrown in, whatever floats your boat Tome.

Noooooo I forgot to get my CS up in time D:

You're both accepted, and being entered right about now.

GM post inbound, bear with me.

EDIT: Annnnnnnnnnnnnd you're in :D
I got to use my levitation spell immedietly. My joy knows no limits.

Lol. Hax!

Good job on remembering the archer. There was going to be some profound consequences if everyone forgot about him.
@Elvenoff I should have picked up on this sooner. You haven't said what spells your guy knows - I need to know so you don't pull a b/s card out of your bum. If you wouldn't mind doing that for me at some point, then that'd be grand.
