Responsibility belongs not to the name stenciled on the mantel, but to the one who carries the mantle.

Added some marketing to my last post to help legitimize my OOC invitations. If I need to go further in depth let me know.
Is this still happening? :/
np, that's the GM's job, :) well, half of it anyway.
Tecumseh walked into camp, towards Schultz, who had his back to him as he fussed about Tecumseh's little present. As he approached though, the corner of his noticed an object headed his way, and his reflexes kicked in. He noticed it was a sparking blower, and relaxed marginally as he caught the machine, stepping back as he absorbed the blower's momentum, with a low "oof." He switched the machine off, then moved his hands so they weren't in contact with the warped motor casing or the motor itself. looking back along the trajectory of the object, Tecumseh noticed Alessandra and Jason standing not to far away and walked over to return the machine, holding it out to Jason, since the girl looked ... stressed.

You could lose an arm working with the wire exposed like that, though it looks like you need a new motor now. I got guy who's great with small motor repair, if you want some help salvaging that one.

Back at the office, the manager and marketing associate analyzed their marketing campaign, which currently focused on the use of pamphlets placed in visitor centers and in kiosks at several major international airports(mostly in the US, but a handful in Europe as well). They also utilized short videos put on youtube showing the various attractions, events and conferences being held, or being planned to be held, at the resort. They often sent emails to travel agencies updating their information and informing the agency of upcoming events. They had tried billboards but had little success with them. they were now discussing how they might expand DRR's image to reach other countries, focusing on Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, and New Zealand. They decided to start with back lit signs, posted in airports and travel agencies and began searching for credible translators to help them expand their market.
Just a thought but if we need to have a "full deck" and we can repeatedly cast spells then we should probably only have access to about 8-15 different spells to account for the idea of playsets.... Otherwise a player could potentially have 40 different spells available at nearly any time as we have no "hand" to worry about.... Which bring me to my next point. How do spells like Thoughtseize, Duress, Thought Scour, Brainstorm, Ancestral Visions, Demonic Tutor and the such?

Very good question, I was thinking that over myself, but unless we decide to have a virtual deck, with virtual hands and everything to govern how our Planeswalkers interact with the world around them, mill cards would be worthless. (or at least worth only any secondary effect they may have) And for starters 8-15 spells sounds reasonable, but I know a guy who likes to build decks with no more than two of any non-land card in his deck, mostly for versatility, so I didn't want to out right limit max starting spells. (the biggest thing preventing me from limiting max spells is that I haven't worked out the players will learn new spells yet and I don't want to handicap them)

I am willing to be a co- GM for this. I liked the idea of an entire plane disappearing and the missing plane was home to advanced tech.

Thanks or stepping up.

This is more than a plane vanishing, this is an entire universe, all of the planes, along with everything else, are gone. The players are in a different universe, that's why the players aren't also gone. And this is going to be complex enough without adding a new color, so the advanced tech would just be artifacts as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not sure if I appreciate how much metagaming you're encouraging. It's not very conducive to RPing if everyone just HAPPENS to show up to one place, instead of coming to their own conclusions and coming together naturally.

Well for the record this game doesn't need a second GM, so stop telling us how to write our own characters and their stories.

It's not like my resort is a private club, it's meant to draw attention, especially from people who aren't native residents, that's how Resorts make money, if my ability to use actual marketing strategies to plug drifting writers into the SL bothers you I'm sorry, but until the GM says to change something, this is how I get people involved in the story. Sure it's pulling more charactes than I anticipated at first blush, but that's better than leaving people to try write by themselves and end up getting lost between the other groups SL's and loosing interest in the story and leaving, IMO.

tl;dr I'm not encouraging meta-gaming, I'm making writers aware of some of the opportunities available to their characters, that are common knowledge, and so probably known by the characters or easily found with a little searching.
There aren't many other Elementals in North Carolina. Where'd you get that?

Sigh, read the posts please. tl;dr : Tecumseh, Alessandra, Sofia and Zaynab are in/will soon be in NC. with two others having been invited OOC, which bring the potential total of elemental in NC up to six, if I'm doing my math right.
An observant person might notice, despite the new arrival, that some of the dust being blown across the dig site, wasn't quite moving with the wind as is passed Schultz's feet, though it was only slightly deviant. As the steady breeze blew the dust along, a piece of paper was left lying between Schultz's feet. It had four words in smugged block letters printed on one side, the top side.

Is that a fact?

Tecumseh let the wind blow him past the edge of the camp, and knew he shouldn't be tormenting the man, but well, he wanted to know just what he could and could not do while in his alternate form, and this was good practice, okay so it was barely decent practice but it was all he had to work with for the moment. Once out of sight of the camp, he changed back into his usual form, and slipped into the clothes he'd left nearby in preparation for his little blow by, the note had been a last minute addition to his little game. Once dressed, he moved towards the camp to see how work was going at the new dig site.
The one you're thinking of is probably Fargus Oberschmidt, in Oslo(according to the CS)

And nvm then, there will be more in NC than anywhere else, lol (Assuming both Hannahlore and Jan show up)
Perhaps many, but not most, unless I missed something in the IC. The Oxford crew is staying in Europe for the moment, Junkyard and three others are doing their own thing elsewhere in America, and right now even with you two coming in that will only bring the number of elementals in NC up to five, which is less than the number in England (5+1), barely.
