Current Boy, you're like a pizza cutter: all edge and no point.

I think I should write a pithy roleplay about how an expenditure of effort does not entitle you to your perception of an equivalent reward. Anyone know someone who'd be interested?

Okay, let's be honest for a second here, if we stop the status bar from being edgy angst land it really doesn't have anything going for it except sheer autism.

Does anyone know where you can get a white trilby embroidered with threatening messages? Asking for a friend.

Konohagakure - Windspeaker Touho

The Windspeaker had spent most of the day floating silently above the metaphorical ivory spires of Konoha, looking down upon them with a mixture of familiarity and contempt - a mixture of hope for the future, and despair over what was already lost. It was not an activity that she engaged in every day, for there were people who needed her guidance, but today was a lull in the great musical that was life, a sudden drop of tempo before the great crescendo of war came crashing down upon the world in droves. She could feel the beat of the war drums in her veins even now, and the thought of it filled her only with regret at what she had to do. Still, she would do it, for there was no price that she would not pay to keep her people safe.

There were others of a similar, pensive nature in the rebellion, though they were far and few between, and at times even the great shephards needed guidance to ensure that the flock stayed on the right path. Today, a day that could be anyone she knew's last day, seemed like the correct day to obtain whatever guidance she could. It would perhaps make the coming storm easier to bear. Fuujin would not help her, for it was his storm that she intended to weather - another test of her faith and of her resolve. It was not the first time that she had tested, and it certainly would not be the last.

It was this line of thought that had brought her to Shizune's door, and no sooner than she had let her feet touch the ground had she knocked upon the wooden door. The familiar voice echoed out a response, and Touho opened the door. It was a practiced ritual of sorts, in truth, and each motion that she took tried in vain to hide that fact. She always refused a cushion, not wanting to impose, and simply floated above the ground at a comfortable height, so Shizune would not have to strain herself in order to speak freely. Perhaps it was an unnecessary kindness, but that mattered little, in the end.

"Thank you, Shizune. I came so that I might hear your guidance before the coming storm." The Windspeaker started, keeping her voice low and airy, but still filled with the gusto and passion that she held close to her heart. It was an interesting way of speaking, at the very least.
Fear not! The Windspeaker will come talk to you.
Yeah, I'm done with this conversation. We can resume when you've read what I've written and started being rational. o_o
... What.

There is not some fabled mythical "equality rule" that states all characters must b of an equal power level. o_o

RPs are not limited to one rank of Shinobi. o_o

You are seriously out of whack if you think that having a powerful character is "violating every rule of RP". You make a lot of wildly extreme points without actual evidence to back them up. You don't give any reasoning for what you say, but rather you make anecdotal points on the basis that your claim is true rather than seek to prove that what you say is true. I'm not sure how we can have a constructive discussion about anything if you're essentially screaming "I'M RIGHT AND THESE ARE POINTS THAT MAKE SENSE SUPPOSING I'M RIGHT."
o_o

It's... Not a natural ability? It was given to her through surgery? o_o

If you think that any character is undefeatable, you are sorely mistaken. Every character can be killed. Ra is no exception - even if she was fighting, it is not difficult to kill her. I don't see how I'm "bending logic" at all. She is /not that powerful/. She is also certainly not a Mary Sue. o_o
o_______o

That makes no sense. It isn't impossible to be immune to genjutsu, and your follow up to that statement does nothing to back up your claim. o_o
-shrug- It isn't particularly hard to RP it out in my experience. The majority of the issues enter in when combat is involved, which Ra won't be involved in, so it's not too bad. :)

EDIT: Mei Terumī has two Kekkei Genkai. Ra got her Chigoku Inkan through extensive surgery that left her incapacitated for the best part of a year and a half or so. That section of the history was omitted because it references things that can't happen in this universe. c:
I do feel that a lot of Naruto RPs neglect the political intrigue of certain actions and non-actions. A lot of individuals' backstories and actions would have ripple effects on the villages that they're associated with, but a lot of people don't particularly like that side of things and would rather engage directly in the combat.

In that vein, Jinchuuriki especially have their political intrigue underplayed - and depending on the aptitude of the characters that have positions of power in their village, their lives can be made significantly easier or significantly harder. I personally think that the political intrigue is by far the most interesting part of a Naruto roleplay as combat just doesn't tend to do it for me, and I do wish that people would understand its influence and importance and embrace it more openly. :c
I'm not sure why you directed that at Savato when it was me who had the misapprehension. o_o

It's a fairly good idea for terms of balance IMO, but to be honest I've never had /that/ much of a fear of Jinchuuriki because historically the people who use Jinchuuriki have been unable to use them to their maximum capacity. They seem to be desirable mostly for the status of saying "I'm the Jinchuuriki of ..." rather than the actual power they hold.
Yeah, the Uchiha just bullshit their way through everything, haha. :P

Idk. I'm not sure where I got that idea from. o_o
@Savato: I believe you are referring to GAGK. I can't remember what he changed his name to, though.

I also believe that it's difficult for people with a Kekkei Genkai to become a Jinchuuriki? I'm not sure if that's canon or something I've just picked up somewhere, but I vaguely remember them being less compatible.
