I'm sorry I'm scarce

It's almost Christmas. I expect people to be tied up. No biggie.
Ariel - Magic Games Stadium

@Caits
After thinking for a bit she shrugged a little. While she got a condensed version of events it sounded fine to her. "Killing or crippling isn't good. Especially if it isn't needed. It sounds to me like you tried to do the right thing. You shouldn't feel bad for that. If they have a problem with that, then that is their problem." Whether what she said would come across the way she intended she wasn't sure. Ariel hasn't always had the greatest with advice when her personality jumps around. But Light seemed to work out pretty well.

Speaking of she noticed that her magic seemed to be trying to change again. Pausing for a moment Ariel managed to keep the Light magic after flickering a red color. "Sorry, my magic seems to have a mind of its own right now. I guess I shouldn't be surprised given where I am."

Ariel smiled a bit. Well, it something she supposed. But the weight of magic cut off her thoughts. Shutting her eyes tight she knelt down and covered her head. "Oh man. It's a lot worse this close." Gabriel probably had no idea what was going on. fighting off the pain she looked up a bit. "So... I can feel magic around me. And right now it's really bad. I'll be honest, I will probably pass out in the next few minutes. But this is the hand I was dealt and I have to learn to live with it."

Closing her eyes Ariel tried to tune out the noise created by all the magic. She might as well have tried to ignore standing in a hurricane. But what she was really hoping for was the eye. Right now she didn't know how to turn off the magic absorbtion even though it had been off just a moment earlier. But after a few minutes things began to settle and she glanced around. Her bangs were still white so it wasn't just that her magic stopped again. Maybe jumping in head first was the solution. Or she had already gotten enough of the magics in the area to stabilize. Hard to tell.

Standing back up she looked at Gabriel. "Okay, so maybe I just had to face it head on. I guess time will tell." Giving it a little thought, Gabriel needed some positivity. It might not be the greatest idea but when it came to Ariel's magic she didn't entirely have control. She changed into her Light magic and smiled brightly. While the mood was still a bit gloomy from Gabriel, Ariel exuded a much more pleasant air about her. "Ah, much better. Now let me think, I would like to help you out in return." Rubbing her chin she tried to decide what to do. "Maybe you should try explaining to me what happened." Despite being a total stranger she appeared to be genuine, if not a little odd. Something clearly was peculiar about this girl.
@Oblivion666 Ariel has been through enough right now. Perhaps later she could have a bounty. Though she would probably be wanted alive.

Once again Gabriel had some useful insight. Perhaps she should approach things from a different angle. Thus far she'd seen her ability to replicate magic to be something of a curse. For whatever the reason it was a part of her. Something unique to her it seemed. "You're probably right..." She said absently as the next event started and progressed.

It was an intense battle. Ariel had seen Lazarus fight before and this time was no less spectacular. Pakuna held her own well. Ariel could probably learn a thing or two from her. While she was paying attention to the event she also rolled Gabriel's words around in the back of her mind. Maybe she was hindering herself by fighting against magic. Eventually it did occur to her that, while Gabriel had a good answer, he didn't seem to be following it himself. She chuckled a bit and stood up straight. "Tell you what. If you stay on your feet and keep on trying then so will I."

Offering a hand to shake on it, part of Ariel's hair turned from brown to its usual white. Whether Gabriel agreed or not Ariel had made up her mind and it reflected by her magic returning. Which was likely to result in the magic in the area falling on her like a ton of bricks. Though hopefully she would adjust quickly.
@Caits I'm fine with that. It means the day can progress.
I feel like editing a pic. Anyone need something done?

Listening to Gabriel quietly she wondered about the tone, but could tell that there was passion behind the words. To be honest she really hadn't given it much thought. Most of her life she lived without magic, even if her father had been a mage since her birth. Her thought was interrupted when Gabriel apologized. "I never thought about it like that. I'll be honest my life has been crazy since I suddenly started being able to use magic." Just for good measure she tried to use some magic but got nothing. "Which doesn't seem to be working right now. But maybe that's for the better while I'm here."

Getting back to her previous thought it did make a lot more sense that everyone was so worried. It had been so long that this really was a huge deal. If things went well then it could be the start of a new age of magic. "You really don't have to apologize. You've given this a lot more thought than I have. And I can tell that it means a lot to you. I probably should try to keep up more with the whole magic world now that I'm in a guild." She really was out of the loop.
@Caits Updated my last PM in case you already saw it. Stuff that will need to be worked out long term mostly.

While she didn't quite know what Gabriel was talking about, Ariel did know that Frenzy Plant operated differently. Hence the mention of orders. Some magic right now might be helpful to improve the mood but that could open another can of worms. Not that she could use any magic right now. "That can't be true." Sighing a bit she glanced around. "Maybe it's just me, but I feel like these games have put people on edge. I think all the chaos brings out a lot of emotion and makes people do things that them might not normally." She had to be a little careful not to mention people going missing, including herself. Really there was no way to know who know what.

"I was not expecting to be here at all. And in the couple days I have been here all hell seems to have broken loose. I could use so peace and quiet I think." Really she felt she could use a walk to clear her head. The games were fun to watch, but at the same time she had enough excitement for a bit.
