@Holy Grail If you are open to recommendations for a gift: Since your character is intended to be a proficient coder, you could give them a gift that has something to do with the actual skills required to code. Coding requires that the coder be able to think through the code mathematically in parts and pieces, being very good at solving the problem bit by bit. Of course, a problem solving ability would be pretty boring. So, similarly to how coding utilizes this methodical approach to issues, you could have a gift that uses it similarly?
Do you want us to post our characters straight into the characters tab? I already believe that the answer is yes, but it never hurts to ask beforehand.
@Moonlit Sonata Okay, I erased the bit about his reputation among goblins. I apologize for that, by the way.
Alright, I made something that I think could be fairly interesting to use. I tried to make his skill fairly simple, but I don't know if it needs to be changed at all. The gist of it though, is that he can learn things quickly, and invent things more effectively.
This sounds really awesome, I can't wait for it. Usually I'm quite picky with what RP I try to join; but, if this ends up being as good as I hope, then this could end up being one of my favorites.
@Zi Okay, thanks. So I imagine he won't change the amount of information is given, but he will adjust his vocabulary as necessary? He will probably give more information per sentence later on, once he feels the need to share more thoughts with his team.
I'm not having Ethan be too emotionless, am I? I am planning to have him be like this for awhile, until he respects the other member's intelligence enough to be a bit more personal. He will still talk and think about things logically, but he will communicate with the others about these things more. Opinions?
Ethan listened carefully listened to what Rear Admiral Marshall had to say, and making sure he had a thorough understanding of everything. When Atticus had asked his questions, Ethan grew a bit more respect for the captain's attempts to better understand the mission. When everything had been said, he began strategizing once more. How could they take every advantage that they can?

For example, where could they start? choosing the ideal location to begin looking for the enemy would allow them to fight on their own terms, which could be the difference between success and failure. Ethan looked at the map, calculating the risks and advantages of every possible location. When he finally found a good spot for them to begin, he made a mental note to tell Atticus before they leave.

The amount of ammunition they had could be a possible issue, but Ethan decided that there should be enough ammunition between all of them. The A.I. was a pleasant surprise, and even Ethan paused at that announcement.

"So... When do we leave?"

This is a question that actually made Ethan think a bit more highly of Daniel, seeing as time could also play a vital role in the outcome of the mission. The ideal time for battle could vary between the roles in the team; for example, as tactician, Ethan's visor allowed him to see the location of the enemies no matter where they were or how dark it was, as long as they were in the nearby area. However, some of the members were not trained to operate the technology Ethan uses in order to do what he does.
During any arguments, Ethan mentally kept track of everything said in order to identify the main issues that needed to be solved. Ethan was rapidly creating scenarios where these may get in the way. When Ethan had finished the majority of probably results and occurrences, he concluded that the probability of failure due to conflicts were too high; the percentage value was 28%. Ethan mentally thought, "Further observations of my teammates' conscious decisions and personalities will be necessary if the team as a whole is to become effective."

Atticus' announcement of team tags was noted. He would have to look into that later, in order to be able to respond efficiently when the tags are in use.

When the captain alerted them about the officer, Ethan barely had to do anything. He was already standing in the posture that Atticus was using, so all Ethan had to do was bring his arm up for a salute.
