"i understand completely, and do not question that except when it comes to your sergal citizens. please be seated" the high General replies evenly, his tone growing a bit happier now that the difficult business was out of the way. "now, the negotiations on an updated contract can begin. we've begun to produce more as a people so the list of items available needs to be updated. Any goods you're willing to offer aside from the scientists sent to assist in our discoveries? they are very much appreciated by the way. these... computers? are quite beneficial to my work" the high general inquires, gesturing to the terminal before him while he was trying to remember the word
@supertinyking

"understandable. i also heard that one of your men was killed by one of my captains. after hearing the events that transpired i can understand why and i send my condolences. she was punished severely for it despite the extenuating circumstances however, i must urge you to not do something similar again. as you know, my people are not like your's, we are not ornately gifted with mystical abilities so most of our exams brings the physical ones to bear, but when you mess with our abilities to reason and hold ourselves back, things like that will happen" the high general states evenly, obviously not happy about the circumstances that had arisen due to one of the governer's men.

"further more, i neglected to inform you of the exams held by the entire populace at regular intervals to maintain combative quality and knowledge. The captain that visited you handled them well up to a point however i need to fill you in on the rest. The exams are meant to maintain military, civil, and academic knowledge and to that end they have been changing drastically with each interval. the best block within each city, town, or settlement is given a reduction to their block taxes, while the worst one is given an addition to their block taxes equal to the addition so that everything balances out. The test is formatted very intentionally so your attempts to change which test was held in what order was rather... unscrupulous if you get my meaning. i do, however, understand why but i would still suggest it in the future. I must also request that you hold your own tests for your own populous in the future so as to avoid another incident. Each one is held semi-yearly meaning twice a year or every eight months. i know your people are foreign, but you're on our planet, under our graces, and subject to our laws while you are here. in essence, when it comes to running your city i am your boss. However, when it comes to managing your people, your emperor is your boss. Do i make myself clear?" The high general asks evenly, seeming rather all too familiar with dealing with people that do not wish to be dealt with by him as his tone grows rather terse towards the end.

"i'm the high general. the one that negotiated the fact that you have a city at all" the high general replies, spotting the underhanded slight even if the clone hadn't meant it. After a good few minutes of watching the clone forces retreat, the gates open to invite the governer in to the rather changed city which would have probably surprised solaire and the clone emperor should they choose to visit against. While the governer would recognize the streamlined and efficient city layout which had most likely been described to him in the debriefing of his posting on the planet, the fuel lines embedded in the wall for small block units of bio generators intended for emergency power in case of the main electrical facilities going down was new and spoke of rather unprecedented rates for maximization and integration considering they already had incredibly small units able to be deployed at such a wide spread rate. The tram system had also been improved to the point that there was no actual reason not to use it to get around at incredibly rapid rates, the solar charging stations that powered the systems having been improved and optimized to the point that they were actually integrated into the trams themselves, allowing for it to go constantly albeit at a slightly slower pace so that people could actually get on it. One of the aforementioned trams was actually responsible for taking the governer directly from the gate to the gardening block and looked to have been developed and implemented especially for that route with rather comfortable seats and a fairly advanced air cooling system to assist with the desert heat.

When the governer actually arrives, he finds the gardening district to have completely changed from what he'd been told, the entire thing being one big greenhouse with new breeds of mystical flora, some of which sporting signs to their enclosure for staff to be the only ones allowed within due to specialty training. before he can think to sneak in though, he's actually witness to a small, boar like creature being dropped in only for the plants within to nearly instantly tear it to shreds while it was alive, the blue liquid produced from the action, that had been classified as 'mana' in his documents, being piped out through clear tubing and into a giant, central vat that people were still throwing random bits into. The tram deposits him at what appears to be a mix of break room and embassy, the second floor of which being where he was deposited which left him face to face with the high general that had been atop the gate when he'd first arrived, showing him just how sizable the sergals were when face to face.

"good to see you've arrived safely. the trams were the first to be repaired during the blackout but there was still worry with the experimental one. please, sit" The high general offers evenly, gesturing to a small chair at a rather large desk made of stone, seeming to have been specially made for the clones while the desk had not been, leaving his head barely popping up above the top of it. "i've come to understand that immigrants have begun to flood into your city. While this was to be expected, the size of people doing so was larger than anticipated so we need to renegotiate the terms of the contract so that you have more land, however that of course will come at a cost" the high general adds from behind his desk, typing at what the clones would think to be an antique computer that looked like something straight out of fallout with no actual graphics on screen and just cyan text on a black background, the entire thing being one, singular unit though it was obviously quite the upgrade over paper and quill which the high general had been subject to before. Behind the desk where row upon row of filing cabinets had been, there was only a singular server, the entire room cooled at a seperate temperature than the rest of the building, leaving it quite cold which the high general didn't seem to mind, his fur insulating him from the incredibly low temperatures.
@supertinyking

"oh... no... we're fine, some idiots though it would be a good idea to throw an experimental fuel into the main generator. while it got the wanted results of making much, much more power, it also got the wanted results of making much, much, MUCH more power than our current system can handle... we're developing something to fix it though." he replies evenly before turning as if to leave before seeming to remember something and comeing back "oh, while you're here. we need to negotiate the terms of our contract"
@supertinyking They find the city actually surprisingly intact though a large effort is being made to replace everyone's lightbulbs and home computers. Though, when saying lightbulbs the sergal's are nothing of the sort, merely small strips of metal that glow when a current is passed through them no matter how small... though they all seemed to have melted from the same spike that hit the clone's city. When the clone army shows up in full military force, the sergals do the same, a vast army that nearly matches the clone's force man for man in terms of quantity positioned atop the walls, the High general in charge of civil service and logistics atop the gatehouse calling down "hello... might i inquire why you're at our doorstep with an army?"

she gets her wounds treated with the familar cyan poultice that had been discovered in the month prior, her arm healing near instantly before she swallowed a bunch of the stuff, making a face at the taste, in order to treat her internal injury. Her men, having actually gotten free of the rock near imediately to treat their wounds gather the arms and armor while their captain relaxes, all of them getting dressed before setting off with the crate of the block taxes being carried between the footmen.

A good three weeks after the test and block tax collection, all of the lights suddenly grow incredibly bright before bursting
@supertinyking

the captain seems to still be a bit out of it, but the head butt actually helps get some blood back into the head, noteably not forming a bruise. "i meant to hold back idiot! but i suddenly lost sense of reality and couldn't... however, if you must then that is understandable" she replies tersly, seeming to blur before punching the man hard enough to break his sternum and lift him a couple inches but no harder, visibly holding back as he could see from experience she could have easilly punched through him, before she reverse round house kicks him a few feet to the left at a speed too fast to react to
@supertinyking

the captain actually seems to blur before punching through the female, launching her up into the air before a kick to the back of her head causes it to explode into gore, her natural physical strength causing her opponent's body to just crumple under her blows even with mystical reinforcement before she grows woozy and sits down due to the blood flow restriction mentioned earlier, seeming too out of it to form her apology correctly or in a way that could be understood before collapsing onto her back
@supertinyking

she gravitates to the female, getting into a loose stance with her arms near her stomach rather than her face
@supertinyking

"if your wife is with child you should be caring for her" the captain replies tersly, pretty much telling him "GO TO HER YOU SHIT HEAD" even though that was most likely not his wife. the men and captain remove their armor, leaving them in little more than tunics and trousers while the captain was wearing nothing more than a loin cloth and a sash across her chest. "very well. the best amongst you step forward" she states evenly, cracking her knuckles as she appears to be the first opponent
