HCL 2: Twisted tinkers' triumph

One of the high generals orders a fall back, the warrior queen being the first to be teleported out before everyone else is, the ships that had survived the engagement returning intact enough to be repaired while the living care for the injuries, the dead that had remained in drac's realm just sort of wandering around confusedly while eclipse is sort of lost in the chaos and is dropped at a random universe due to the hasty retreat.

Over time the sergals heal, rebuild, and repopulate, the process taking a good month before their forces are at what they once were, the warrior queen still bearing a couple broken bones that had simply refused to heal while the high generals did damage control, additional frigates being constructed with fully functioning corvette cores before being launched to explore additional realms to discover new technology or hidden peoples that could be learned from.

As drac opens fire on the sergal ships a great shield in the shape of a ravenous monster's face appears, seeming to devour the energy before dissipating, the sergals on the ground holding their own against the undead and actually turning the tide as another five drop form the frigate, not teleport, just step out and drop to the ground with a crash, the undead forces completely decimated once the dust clears to show kalus with rather large gauntlets, mute with a sword and shield, a massive sergal in what appears to be furs with a club twice her size layed over her shoulders lazily, with another sergal weilding a high powered rifle in each hand next to them, the fifth one completely towering over them and dropping directly onto drac, her lance piercing through him before disappearing as she kicks him up and over to kalus, his chin being rocketed up before he's face planted into the ground and then launched to the side, seeming to crumple with kalus's kicks seeming blindingly fast.

Drac is then kicked over to mute who seems to be going at three times her normal speed, covering him in slashes and broken bones with her shield before being knocked over to the sergal wielding the club, his stomach crashing into the end before he's smashed into the ground hard enough for him to bounce up and be launched with another strike to the stomach high into the air, the laser rifles wielded by the other sergal high general causing him to rise higher and higher until he's within eclipse's range

he finds the locker to contain rather large rifle that seems to be powered by a blue core built into the stock with a bipod at the muzzle end of the stock, as well as what appears to be a terminal for his bracelet, and upon depositing it, it adds an authorization algorithm and an algorithm for something called a 'stasis shield' that seems to be intended as mobile cover of some sort. Before he can jump out his window with his new gifts and reprogrammed bracelet, he's dragged off by his next door neighbor and taken to the rec room by his shirt collar, being deposited at the back and made to stand in line on a step stool so he could see over the massive sergals around him.

"alright, listen up men. Our allies, the clone empire, have been attacked and destroyed. one of our generals was also decapitated and had her head shipped to the queen. we've been ordered to mobilize as a response to the threat. the Hive is already en route with the high general, queen, and staff but we'll be boarding transport vessels by captain-ship and dropped to the ground to support the air forces in whatever has wrought all this destruction. listen to your captain's orders and you'll be just fine. fight well men, die better" one of the larger, more grizzled sergals says, obviously the sergeant in charge of the block. Eclipse is then swept away with the rest of the men in his squad, being a good dozen strong including himself and the captain with him regulated to the 'heavy' position due to his rifle and mobile cover ability.

"alright men, we'll be dropping in five. make sure your guns are ready and you've got the ammo you need. good luck" carl says evenly from the driver's seat before taking off.

While drac was busy with kishin and co, an armada led by a frigate suddenly portals into his dimension, troops being dropped en mass to the ground and opening fire on him as well as taking up positions around him, their laser weaponry rather devastating as small, corvette ships begin buzzing around him, hitting him hard with their main cannons while the frigate seems to be charging up it's main gun, eclipse being somewhere in the middle of this, his rifle showing that he had a good 10 shots per canister but each shot seems to be quite devastating should he actually fire the thing, burrowing through terrain to hit drac hard enough to rock him back on his feet

eclipse finds quite alot of files at the terminal under 'needs to be done' with a small email address on a post-it note attached to the screen for the turn ins though he barely gets started on it before carl recieves a call on his bracelet, calling for EVERYONE including the help to mobilize for war.

"looks like it's your lucky day lazy, someone decided to destroy our allies and left a gigantic portal open telling us where to go and you're invited to the fight under my command. get your gear and report to the rec room in a minute. that's an order" carl says evenly before heading out, a locker in the corner suddenly unlocking with 'eclipse' written on some tape on the front.

a large ring of stone is ported out around the portal, locking it so that it's coordinates could be learned before being forcefully closed, the ring of stone returned to storage before the ship awaits further orders.

The guardsmen atop the ramparts attempt to hold their own, downing undead after undead with well placed, powerful shots that rip the smaller corpses to pieces while they pull back, losing a good few before they can full evacuate, the ship over head charging it's gun at the request of the sergeant in charge of the sergal block that had given his leg to make sure one of the kids was safe, the town being struck from orbit to turn, it, the countryside around it, and everything it including the general to a crater, the vast majority of the evacuees being rescued thanks to the sacrifices in that battle.

"you were supposed to arrive four days ago when you were brought in. what is your reason for being late?" the grizzled sergal asks, towering over eclipse easily and looking down at him with disdain, as though judging him to be lazy already

"hmm? yes. you must be eclipse. you're four days late" the grizzled sergal says evenly, barring eclipse's room with a wary gaze

a great frigate of sergal making is launched to investigate the explosions while the troops on the ground unfortunate enough to watch the dead rise bravely run away to behind the people with powerful enough rifles to take massive chunks out of the corpses, even the fallen emperor in his half rotted state. The sergals in the clone city go up to their block walls, rifles in hand, after hearing word of clone's rising from the dead, an evacuation already started to get the children, sick, and elderly out while the rest guard them or keep watch on the ramparts

the queen growls a bit eating the head, ordering the remaining sergal populace to destroy the bodies in a similar manner as a more cerimonial burrial method which had never really been disclosed to the clone emperor simply for appearences.

the holo-pod fizzles out before disappearing before the captain contacts central command with the findings, a kingdom wide scan being preformed once again, including the clone city and the sergals within which had by now been armed with ranged weaponry with free settings outside of other sergals, allowing them to shoot anything but each other. Lastly, the queen was finally informed of the issue though she chose patience over action, waiting for whatever had been causing allies' to disappear to show itself.
