Cuisine: Sushi is inconceivably popular and has been adapted for fast food. Many crafty dishes have been made in underground fish farms and sealed-off hidden agriculture.
Art: This remains the main time-passer in a bleak society, anime is the main format, although a style known as "Watercolor-Anime' Has arisen, combining sharp outlines with blending colors.
Technology: Whatever could be salvaged is now used in military works. Civilian tech is renaissance at best, although a few basic services such as plumbing have remained. However, they have perfected the art of unmaking and have seeker rifles to one-shot fungi-humans.
Industries: Gunmaking, cuisine, and art. A few corporations with solar air-transport can ship items to Korea. Corporations large enough to do this would be the Amerishima Firearms Enterprise, the Derimana Food Corp, and the Hydrolinim Aartists coalitions.

Powerful: The USA has probobaly the single greatest military, and has advanced rapidly still. They are becoming more and more barbaric, and believes it is thier right to conquer non-democracies.
Innovative: for the last 150 years, the USA has been leading the advancement in nearly all technological fields. They are known as over-achievers.
Secular: Over the years, the U.S. has become more and more secular, and most now view religion as dangerous.
History: The US has been mostly untouched by the wars, and always seems to come out ahead. They are pioneers in the field of robotics, have conquered genetic disease and cancer, and are super duper star-spangled awesome. Thier new territories include: Cuba, Mexico, Canada (we all knew that would happen), and a variety of small South American autocracies. They plan to cure the disease, then colonize almost all of Asia, Africa, and Russia.
