:) Okay, glad to have that worked out. It'll probably take me a little while to work on my sheets, but sometime in the next few days they should be up.What I meant, Unknown, was that the Archangels, being the very best warriors, would be comprised of angels that were all stronger-than-average, in both arm and wing. Obviously, the Archangels of the Crystal City would probably all be of the white-winged, "divine" variety, while others from other islands could be of different ethnicities. Anyway, considering my angel's background, there could be some very interesting interaction between her and Gabe... Hmm. We'll see.

Cool, I will be looking forward to that ;)
Name: Gabriella the Brave-hearted.
Nickname: Gabe
Race: white-winged Angel
Gender: Female

Age: 366 years (quite young in her culture)
Age Appearance: 29 years
Birthplace: The Crystal City, high up

Alignment/Affiliation: The Divine Nation of Angels (neutral)

Rank/Occupation: A Council member and Archangel of Crystal City.

=========================================

Weapons/Items:

Name of Weapon: Gabriella’s sword
Description: On the ground this weapon is nothing more than a blade, but in Gabe’s hands it can engulf in flames and even shoot small bursts of fire.
Appearance:
=========================================

Appearance:
Just like her kin she is both elegant and beautiful to behold. Her hair always floats in the wind, even with no wind. Though she appears almost fragile, the truth is far from it. She wears no actual armor or protection, only simple thin silk-material. The wingspan on her is huge and rather impressive for most people to watch.

Personality: Though slightly arrogant and snobby, she is unusually curious about the world (which is known as “The Dirt” amongst Angels). Her bravery and mental strength is respected around her own kind. Though young her wisdom rivals that of some of the older Angels.

History: The floating fortress of Crystal City is a marvel to behold. Yet no Human, Orc or even Elf has ever laid eyes upon it. It is the place where the legend of high Heaven started. In it lives the ancient and proud white-winged Angels - pure in heart and mind, or at least that is what they will tell you. Though other Angels can visit and enjoy the hospitality, only citizens can stay. If a white-winged Angel was to ever find a partner from the outside, their family would be disgraced.
The creatures living down below are all considered lesser beings by the Angels, who refer to the world as “The Dirt”. From time to time an Angelic warrior flies down and report about the activities of the lesser beings, but no contact is allowed.
Crystal City was built only of pure moonstones and sparkling crystals. It’s just one of several places inhabited by Angels, but it is the most famous and beautiful of them all. The capital of Angels.

Yet for a whole year a strange sickness has plagued the great fortress and city…

Angels have had their wings turn gray and weak. Maybe one day Angels will lose their wings. Searching the archives and ancient scrolls has proved useless to the Angelic people, as no answers were found. Because of it, other Angelic nations have started to put distance between themselves and Crystal City. Disgrace is near. One day maybe all Angels’ wings will turn gray. Maybe one day Angels will lose their divine power.
HERESY!
Such can never happen!
Angels are not afraid and doesn’t worry! Simply implying it, is heresy.
This is still just a new and minor concern.

The timing couldn’t be worse. A hidden evil has been foretold. Chaos, death and destruction will erupt in The Dirt. As Angels consider themselves Masters of Existence, it’s their duty to preserve life and save the lesser beings – even from themselves - and even by killing some of them. The inhabitants of The Dirt are but foolish children. The real problem is that it has been many ages since Angels last meddled in mortal affairs. Someone who has studied the puny beings is needed to travel down.

This is where Gabe comes into the story. The young Archangel’s curiosity for the outside world has always been met with annoyance. Since white-winged Angels consider themselves the Masters of Existence and mentors of all living things, they want little to do with the filth below. Angels have, through time, guided mortal nations through quick visits and fast bloodshed and threats. But since humans started to explode in numbers and military-strength, Angels have kept their distance.
That is where Gabe differs from most of her kind. She takes the part about guiding the lesser beings as a sworn duty. Her opinions have started many arguments in the Angelic Council, and she has yet to win a single one. But Gabe is still respected. Her cunning, wisdom, strength and determination have always been admired, and have secured her a spot on the Great Council for the past 68 years. But not only that, she has also achieved Archangel-status, an honorary title for only the most powerful and divine Angels. It is not often a Master of Existence practice both diplomacy and war.
Gabe is of good, noble family and has never broken a rule… yet.
When it was decided, that a small group of Angels was to travel down to The Dirt, she was picked because of her knowledge of the puny world.
So while her own home struggles to find answers for the strange occurrences, she visits the mortals’ home because of duty.

Only as long as Angels feel a responsibility to the silly little dirt-world, do they control it.

=========================================

Strengths:
- A physical strength much greater than a normal man, and combat-skills even greater.
- Her powerful wings can transport her around faster than any other being, and create powerful winds to send opponents or incoming arrows flying.

Weaknesses:
- Few friends and allies at her side.
- Arrogant and ignorant to many things in the world.
- Her good heart and self-sacrifice can easily be exploited.
- No long-ranged attacks.
- Little capabilities to defend herself from anything, that can’t be dodged or blocked by her sword.

Name of Magic/Technique: Immunity.
Rank: A passive and very old ability which flows in her blood.
Users: All citizens of Crystal City have it.
Description: Immune to most poisons, deceases as well as many spells too. It offers a good defense in and outside battle.
BTW I'm all for having different kinds of Angels. The whole "Arrogant"-thing can just be for the snobby white-wings of Crystal City.

Alright, so, correct me if I'm wrong on any of these:-Wings, powerful enough to carry at least themselves (wing-strength probably varies among individuals; Archangels assumed to have very strong wings relative to the rest)-Can fly relatively fast overland when unencumbered, encumbrance is based on wing-strength (regular periods of rest needed, of course; they couldn't fly across Tailteann in a day, or any such preposterous thing)-Have their own magical traditions, rather like the Elves or Fae, and could have access to Cryptic magic that has been lost on the surface ever since they ascended to their islands (I would give them preference towards the "light" element and healing magic, but that's just me)-Are somewhat physically stronger than humans, perhaps more on par with the physical races, like the Bangaa or Ronso (Archangels, by their nature, are stronger still, as they are the "cream of the crop")-Are the longest-lived of the physical races, trumped only by Spirits; in addition, they have a strong immunity against most poisons, diseases and afflictions that originate on the surface (excepting artificial ailments meant specifically to harm them, and ailments unique them, such as the Gray Wings Curse)EDIT: The only problem I have with Gabe's backstory isn't the character itself, really, but the portrayal of angel culture and government as exclusively arrogant and such. In my head, I'm thinking that is more the mind-set specifically of the angels who dwell in the Crystal City, not ALL of them (perhaps they are a specific enthicity, the "white wings", who are known for seeing themselves as divine and all that; other types of angels, perhaps with different-colored wings, could be more moderate)

Well sounds about right. And I can edit the CS to say Crystal City only have white-winged Angels. Then we can have other kinds of Angel-races. Good idea ;)

Oh, and: Archangel is not actually a race, only a title like "Elite".

I just wrote "Cryptic" because... well I think I read it as been "old magic". I should probably check that source more carefully.

I only made the Angels arrogant, because that was what the race was suppose to be in the description. My character is actually a bit less cold and more relatable than the rest. Otherwise interacting with Gabe would be hell for the rest of you, and I prefer to have a more or less likable character (unless they are a villain). So I didn't invent the whole "Angels are asshole", the rules of the RP did :p

Edit: Well okay, the description doesn't say Angels are suppose to be asshole :D but it does say their race is usually cold and doesn't show emotions.

Iron skin and psychic abilities being gone will bring it down sufficiently for my liking . I'm not too concerned about the strength as mages and ranged fighters should still have a chance and with your body being a larger target that most due to your wings, i'll allow it for now. I can agree that an angel "in their prime" should have some right of superiority over the common earthbound folk.

Well I edited the strength too, just as a sign of good will :p
Am I accepted?

And people, what do you think of my character? It has been a little while since I last RP'ed :)

Always expecting newcomers GarrisonAnd as Imperfectionist said, the power level on that angel is just a bit on the high side. They are flesh and bone just as any other. They could have enhancement type magics as he said aswell. but such a thing would cost a great toll on the body to have the strength of fifteen men and armor hard skin. Also mind reading as fun as it sounds leaves far too many opening for instantly being able to dodge anything, and leaves you, for the most part completely invulnerable. combined with the other traits you have.As much as the title of the race is "Angel" and one would think them near godlike beings they should be able to be killed by a simple soldier should they not take atleast some degree of caution.

I can delete the whole psychic ability thing. It means nothing to me. It was never meant to ever be used in battle in any sense. It was never described as reading an opponent thoughts from a distance. I was meant to be used only on touch and never on an enemy. I just delete it. No problem.
I can also totally reduce the ironskin thing, no problem.
Will she then be okay?

Edit: Do you want the psychical strength of Archangels to be lowered too?

Hmm. I was planning on playing an angel as well, but Gabriella's power level (super-strength, armored skin, massive gust-creating wings, "immunity") is quite a bit higher than what I had in mind. I mean, isn't the divine reputation of angels supposed to be undeserved? What I got from the race description was that they were simply long-lived, winged humans, with perhaps a firm grasp of magic ("sky-elves", really). Perhaps there can be some kind of in-universe justification, like enhancement magic given only to Archangels? Alternatively, I can give an explanation for my angel's own lack of such things. Maybe something to do with living on the surface for so long.

A fair point, however when there are giants, vampires and ogres in the RP, the strength of Angels and hard skin alone does not place them as the biggest brawlers out there. I created the Angel with the thought that they should be the size of humans, yet seem divine to a simple grunt.

The one I created was meant to be among the top 5% of Angels when it came to combat-skill, and therefore given the title "Archangel".
I don't intend to use her as a overpowered character, nor undermine your angel.

If you wanna make a slightly more humble Angel, you can just say it's not an Archangel, or you can play into the whole "wings turn gray and weak"-plot.
I totally understand where you are coming from, but really I don't see my character as much greater than many other races (though the character's arrogance makes her claim to be superior. In fact the entire back-story is filled with arrogance and wrong believes). I just think there should be a reason to why mankind could ones have belied them to be grand beings of light, and prayed to them.

But gonna have it up in a near future.
