The first thing that people tend to notice about Alice is that she suffers from albinism, giving her white skin and hair and pink eyes. She is a slender girl with soft features. Almond shaped eyes, a thin upturned nose, and thin, downward-turned lips.
Aim Dodging - As the toad is fast and aware enough to catch the fly, so can one become aware of their enemies aim and move swiftly to avoid their gunfire.
Wallrunning - One learns to move swiftly and silently, with body control mimicking the thousand legs of the centipede, and to use momentum to defy gravity. This does not allow one to run indefinitely, upside down, or very high up.
Flesh Piercing Finger Strikes - By applying the force and speed of the Snake to one's own arms it is possible to puncture the flesh of sensitive areas on the human body.
Scorpion Tail Kicks - Just as the stinging tail of the scorpion can inject poison, so one can train the feet to deliver sharp impacts that can break bones with pressure.

Alice was raised in the sheltering environment of an old American suburb called Glencrest in Ohio. Her parents raised her to be sporty, religious, and pro gun rights. But she didn't take to it very well. While her mother and father were attempting to teach her valuable M.A/I.D skills that living in America would allow extra efforts in, she just wanted to be a ballerina or a princess.
Still, her parents took her to the shooting ranges, and on camping trips and attempted to teach her some etiquette through religious indoctrination. But all of that stuff only made her confused and rebellious, even resentful of their authority. She secretly read up on occult religions in her early teens, but quickly gave it up when she found that the spells didn't seem to actually work. And she tried to forget how to fire guns at all, developing what would grow into a strong anti-war sentiment.
The one success that her parents had with her was getting her to take jujitsu and kung fu classes. She agreed to do it but begged her parents to also let her take dancing lessons. They easily agreed to this, reminding her that learning how to dance could become easier with self-defense training.
Though her relationship with her parents was strained it was moreso with her mother, whose religiously motivated intolerance grated on both her sense of fairness and her blossoming awareness of her own sexuality. Her father on the other hand, was much more agnostic, and far less judgemental. Still she never managed to reveal to either of them that her reason for avoiding boys was from anything other than striving to be a good Christian girl.
Fortunately though, she started going to public High School when she was 14, and over the next two years, took advantage of every chance she could to learn about different cultures and religions. She studiied in her classes and made friends with as many different kids from different backgrounds aa she could, just to get the scoop on different cultures from them. Not that she wasn't being genuine. She just had a drive for understanding them that went beyond the ordinary.
After such an adventurous two years, however, the real journey was about to begin. Maidsong Academy. With a name like that she feares it was some kind of Christian fundamentalist brainwashing camp. Her fears were not comforted by the fact that her parents refused to tell her almost anything in detail about it. Nor by the fact that when they brought her to the facility they treated her like something was over and hugged her like she was going to jail forever.
In fact, had it not been for Sephra, she would have absolutely freaked out over the initial vaccine injection. Well, more like she would have never calmed down after she DID freak out and try to run away before they could give it to her. But that kind woman talked to her so gently and so respectfully. It was like the motherlyness that she had been craving from her "real" mother all this time throughout her life. And it brought such peace and calm into her body and mind.
As her real education commended, she became one of Sephra's most dedicated students. She even developed a huge crush on the woman as time went on. Not that she ever could, or would tell her about it. Besides it being a very bad breach of etiquette to do so, she was pretty well convinced that Miss Hicks had already began to court Sephra in her own way. At least they always seemed to be flirting or nearly flirting. No, Alice would spend the majority of her time surrounded by beautiful girls and woman at the Academy just as romantically awkward and unfulfilled as ever.
But that meant that she was more prone to daydreaming about love than some of the other students. This didn't effect her performance overall, but it had caused her quite a bit of difficulty in her firearms training. Something that she was already prone to be lazy in.
Noting that she had experience in self defense classes, Sensei Qiuyue went extremely hard on her in unarmed and melee combat training. Alice already had a leg up in such techniques and Sensei Qiuyue pushed her much harder than she pushed less experienced girls. She was impressed at how well the girl handled the aggressive pace of her training, and was proud to see her qualify for accelerated fight training with advanced martial arts techniques.
She studied under the Sensei in advanced hand to hand strategy at first, as she was told if the different Forbidden Martial Arts Styles in which she could receive training from the Whispering Demon Style, which focused on intimidation and trickery, to the Hungry Ghost Style, which trained one's body to survive under normally deadly and crippling conditions. But Alice choose to study the more balanced techniques of the Deadly Venom Style, which combined speed and strength with focus and precision.
Despite developing proficiencies in forbidden martial arts techniques and gifted level training in several domestic disciplines, her struggles to master firearms were a real stain upon her record. By two years ago, she had only barely met the minimum course requirements with rifles and pistols. Sephra even denied her request at first for the Thanatonian assignment when she found out that she would be apprenticing in the next year. Her homeroom teacher said she couldn't risk sending someone with such low scores.
If Sephra herself hadn't previously talked it up as something that one of her best students had survived, and how proud she was of that girl, Alice might not have cared so much. But she cared very much about the approval of her favorite teacher. So much so, that she called her and Regina to the shooting range, donned a steelsilk outfit and walked down range. From here she called out "Shoot me! If you can hit me with a single training round, I'll stop asking for Thanaton!"
And then she danced. Utilizing the aim dodging technique of the Deadly Venom Martial Arts Style, and combining it with her skill as a dancer, she kept her body moving and flowing from one spot to another. Consistently anticipating where Regina would fire. The combat instructor didn't exactly treat her as a hostile force however, firing in rhythmic bursts that mimicked tactical assault protocols. At the end of the display, Alice had leapt from each targeted area with grace and avoided being hit.
After being thoroughly chastised and disciplined for that stunt, Sephra told the young lady that if she could improve her shooting scores significantly over the next three months, then she would consider her request again. So Alice dropped out of the fencing and chess clubs that Sensei Qiuyue had reccomended for her to join as compliments to her martial arts training. She devoted all of her spare time in those months to shooting on the range. And it started to make a difference. Her scores had gone up in Miss Hicks' class to a respectable high average, almost above average level of firearms competency.
