I'm... interested, but I've never done a nation rp before. How do we go about it?

It's RPing with a healthy dose of world building. First, you design your nation- much the same way as you'd design a character, with personality, history, hopes and fears, plans- and then you play as numerous characters from that country, interacting with the other players.

No thoughts on any of the nations?

I don't find anything objectionable so far, if that's what you mean.

Two quick questions. Is the jungle in Ora a rainforest (I just did a quick wikipedia search and discovered that there is a difference) and is the light green north of the jungle grassland?

Yes on both counts.

I've set up a wiki for us to store our info (http://fiat-bello.wikia.com/wiki/Fiat_Bello_Wiki).
Nation name: Kingdom of Norium

Race: Norium is an elven nation, and extremely xenophobic to other races. No others are permitted within its lands, save under extraordinary circumstances, at the permission of the King. Some border cities are designated as open for foreign merchants, yet even there the other races are limited and only welcome temporarily.
Type of government: Absolute monarchy
Faction: Leader and founder of the Galan League
Ruler: King Louard VII
Capital: Galenave
History: Norium was born in the time of lawlessness and darkness 714 years ago, when the great king of the Galans, Pern I, subdued the other elven kings, and drove out the non-elves from his lands. He would divide his lands upon his children, a tradition which was continued by his heirs until his dynasty died out out of infighting, and the House of Drell, upon securing the throne, discontinued the practice, instead granting all the landings of Norium to his eldest son. The Drell kings oversaw the golden age of Norium, when its borders were secure, its coffers plenty, and all other peoples in the world paid the King homage, at least in words. In this time, the elven race also reached the peak of its power, establishing dominance over all other races. Non-human states were initially looked to with distrust, yet over time Norium's policy towards them changed towards tolerance and eventually friendship. Those that would not accept the new order were purged. Galenave became the foremost city in the world at this time, with a great collection of artists, philosophers, and scientists of all kinds. The Norin tongue became adopted in foreign courts across the world.

All things eventually end, however, and the last Drell kings were successively mad, cruel, incompetent, or all at the same time. The early death of the child king Louard V with no known heirs instigated a bloody civil war between ever shifting factions, and Galenave was sacked not once, but twice in a period of a year. To compound the difficulties the kingdom was facing, the Plague of Valenia struck suddenly, spread by sailors. Though the plague devasted almost every country, Norium was the hardest hit, as its large urban cities became ideal spreading grounds for the disease. Many of the great cities of old were abbandoned during this time, including the southern islands.

Finally, a lord of the House of Erondelle was crowned king, the other contestants having been slain in the field, assassinated, or beheaded. He was the grandfather of the current king, Louard VII. The reign of the Erondelle kings has been marked by the ascendance of the ambitious Cesian Republic, an agressive dwarven nation beyond the southern sea which spreads its influence and gnaws at the Kingdom. Upon hearing that the city of Aquon, a tributary of the Norin King, had undergone a suspicious coup and defected to the Republic, King Louard was outraged. A mocking comment by the dwarven ambassador drove the king to one of the fits of anger he was prone to, and he ordered the envoy flogged before all the city. This may prove to set things in motion that should never have begun...

As long as you realize that your lands are rugged and cold, I'm fine with this.
I'll put up the IC not next monday, but the one after that. THat should be plenty of time for people to join and flesh out their nations.
Well, I made an OOC of a fantasy (check) nation roleplay (check), so all those of you who expressed interest, come here:

http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/39864/posts/ooc?page=1#post-1188997
---
The Assembly was deathly silent. On most occasions, they were an unruly bunch, the wealthiest and most troublesome aristocrats of the glorious Dwarven Republic, most civilized of all nations. Yet the sight before them could compel even them to silence. That was not to mean that they were calm; rather the opposite, the room's quiet was filled with an noiseless rage, as each councillor choked on their own fury. Sitting on stone benches in a massive, ornate circular chamber, they surrounded the dwarf ambassador before them, with every scar on his body visible. The Elf-King had had him flogged, twenty-five lashes in all. For what seemed like hours, nobody dared to speak.

"War", breathed suddenly Councillor Loeric, shocking all: he was the leader of the isolationist peace faction.

"War", agreed another voice, and soon the silent uproar became a loud uproar, as shouts of "To war!" and "Death to the elves!" went up. Amidst it all, Councillor Ordyr's booming voice could be heard, clamoring his usual wish, this time eliciting the roaring approval of the chamber: "We must slay every last elf, from the lowliest peasant to the vile Elf-King! We must sack the foul city of Galenave and pull it apart, stone from stone!"

Speaker Tismar shouted with the rest of them, yet knew that the matter was not that simple. The Elves were backed by all the might of the expansive Galan League, composed of the oldest, most renown peoples in the known world. The Republic had many allies within their own Ingrian League, true, yet would they all remain loyal? There was only one certainty: The time of second thoughts and indecision was over. Now, all would have to take a side, and the world would surely burn.

Welcome to the world of Tver, on the brink of a war between the illustrious yet stagnant Kingdom of Norium, and the ambitious Republic of Cesia. You will play as a country or even race of your own creation as you maneuver geopolitics. In this NRP, the system of alliances is everything, and those without allies will find themselves alone in a sea of enemies. The game starts at the beginning of the year 714, from a calendar based on the founding of the Kingdom of Norium.

There is a wiki for this, right here. There's also an IRC, here: http://client00.chat.mibbit.com/. Use channel #FiatBello.

WANTED: A co-GM. I'm not always available, so I'd like to have somebody who can back me up and manage the RP on the occasions where I'm busy.
Alright, here's what I propose: A fantasy NRP which is on the verge of a world war between two alliances of countries. It's WW1, except in a fantasy setting.
Actually, I could GM a fantasy RP. If it falls to me, though, I'm making my own world map (Because it would fit my senario better (And because I love making maps)).
