And so it begins.
The air was freezing cold, and Endor shuddered, even though he worse the best fur coat money could buy. He was the Emperor, the descendant of holy Aedus, representative of Eya. The Empire was his, the same as his coat and the airship who's deck he was standing on were. He enjoyed flying, standing on the deck of the Rofner, his personal warship. There, he could see his seemingly unending lands stretch out beneath him, and soar above it all, like a pagan god. True, the Rofner wasn't the equal of the Coldomore, the most advanced airship in all the Empire (and perhaps even the world!) and the flagship of Saar Tarquin, the High Admiral. Nevertheless, the Emperor felt a sense of pride whenever he saw his ship. The Rofner was almost new, having been completed only seven years past, the fruit of vast amounts of resources and money, so it was at the cutting edge of technology. The etherium powered engines were both efficient and powerful, and the great cannons along the ship's deck had longer range than any other ship he knew of (except for the Coldomore, to his annoyance). As he leaned on the railing, he heard footsteps behind him.

"The others should be here momentarily, my emperor."

Tarquin. Endor turned to face him. "They'd best. Our timetable offers no room for flexibility, I'm afraid to say."

Tarquin was a Saar, a high ranking priest who held lands equal to the great duchies of the empire. He was everything a man of cloth was not to be: Vain and gluttonous, greedy and lustful. Ugly, with a rat's face and a weasel's smile. And cruel beyond belief, if half of what the Emperor heard was true. One might wonder why such would be raised to the admiralship of the finest collection of airships on Adrius, the Arenreil, and indeed many did. Endor knew the man's worth, however. For all his faults, Tarquin was cunning, far more so than any other candidate for the post. He was ruthless in his designs, and merciless against his foes, which were just the qualities Endor was looking for. He would have pointed the dark Karo himself if that was what was required for success in the coming days. "They [will] be here on time," the fat man assured him, "I have made sure of it."

In the end, they came half a minute late, though that was of no consequence to the plan. At first, he could barely make them out in the darkness. They were dark whales, shades rising from the clouds like little islands amidst a vast sea. But they were the rest of the fleet, there was little doubt of that. First he identified the Coldomore rising from the clouds, long and with the head of a dragon, at the head of its flock. One by one they emerged, and he felt the Rofner lurch forward to enter formation behind the Coldomore. He disliked even this putting himself beneath the Saar like this, logical and standard though it was.

"Bring the fleet south," he snapped at Tarquin, though it was futile: the High Admiral had been well briefed in his orders before the flight. Endor descended into the Rofner's interior, clutching at his coat as he entered.

Twenty four heavy warships, thirty-six corvettes and seven supply ships thus began their voyage south, gliding past the great cities of Tver, slowly making their way to the border of Coromis.
So, when's the IC coming up? Or can we just post whenever?

There's already two empires. Another might not be wise.
Kingdom of Coromis

Government Type: Feudal Monarchy

Economy Type: Feudal

Race(s):

Leader(s): King Sigismund "the Idle"

Persons of Importance:

*King Sigismund: King of Coromis. Known as "the Idle" for his inaction during the etruscan conquest of Tolos. He is old and his grip on Coromis is weak, and so he acts with caution and deliberation- too much so, according to his subjects.

Military:

Brief History: Coromis has always been a battlefield. A mountainous yet fertile land, it was the target of many a warlord in ages long past. In those days, it was a patchwork of tribes, much like the rest of the world. The status quo was only shattered with the arrival of etruscan general Rolf Vonnel, the great conqueror who had smashed the Old Esmarians and claimed half of their empire in the name of Eya. Vonnel had then taken his army east, and subjugated the tribes, one by one. As the host progressed further and further east, it became less and less practical to incorporate the territories directly into the overextended Empire, and so defeated tribes were instead forced to convert to the faith of Eya. Those who did so were granted the title of "King", which originally had religious connotations, but later became the highest title among the tribes, reserved for those who had cobbled together their own kingdoms.

And so when the great army entered the Coromian lands to the north, he sought out the tribal leaders, and demanded they convert. Naturally, they refused. It took six years of brutal campaigning to finally force the tribes to concede defeat. Vonnel declared Jiskra, the mighties clan leader, King of the Coromians. This was the beginning of the Kingdom of Coromis. With time, the Coromians integrated the worship of Eya into their culture, though they practiced their own brand of it, refusing to kneel before the Emperors.

Around the year 370 A.A. (After Aedus), another threat emerged. The Ilisians to the south began their own imperialistic drive, and vast swathes of the southlands. Their ruler claimed divine right to rule, the same that the Emperor of the Etruscans enjoyed. Thus, the rulers of Ilisia aquired the title of Emperor. This new empire had its own religion, and it did not look kindly on the Eyan Coromis. Many emperors campaigned against the kings of Coromis, taking much land to the south and along the west coast. The kings, however, managed to hold back the tide, and the struggle shaped the kingdom into a permanent identity.

Coromis's golden age can be said to have started at the year 524, when the three-year-old etruscan Emperor died, the last direct descendant of holy Aedus. The Etruscan Empire was thrown into chaos and anarchy, with the reigning emperors holding no sway over the princes of the land. Similarily, the Ilisian empire collapsed in the year 740, with a regency taking charge. During this time of chaos, Coromis thrived, no longer having to defend itself from imperial incursions. On the contrary, it launched offensives both north and south, chipping away at the twin empires. The Ilisians briefly united to counter the threats on their borders, but they collapsed again after the devastating Battle of Slany, in which the Coromians, lead by King Wendislav II, drove the routing Ilisians to the river Obe, and drowned them by the thousands- A battle which was made immortal by the legends.

The fortunes began changing in the year 1127, when Emperor Frendrik inherited the Etruscan Empire. Frendrik was a political genius, to the horror of those that profited from his empire's division. He married his son to a powerful heiress and negotiated the re-entry of several key duchies into the Empire. The reforming empire at first took no action against the Coromians, being geographically distanced, and separated by many independent kingdoms. Yet as the years passed the etruscan emperors slowly recaptured land, particularly in the east. The ducal wars interrupted this trend, briefly, yet the conquests continued afterwards unhindered.

The current King of Coromis, King Sigismund, began his reign in the year 1340. He saw his northern neighbors be swallowed up one by one by the growing monolith. For many years he attempted to gain support among the nobility to send a force to halt the imperial advance, yet by this time the nobles of Coromis had become drunk with prosperity, and sought only to improve their own standing. Hus promise of protection to the kings of Tver and Mercia were proven empty when the Empire invaded these lands, eliciting no response from the King. For this, he was called "the Idle".

Now, Coromis stands in a precarious position, clearly in a state of decline. Though supported by the Esmarians with money and materials, Sigismund's position is weak, and the nobility are all powerful. And at the border, the hungry Emperor Endor waits, preparing to pounce at the slightest sign of weakness.

Lands:

House Name: House Tully
House Words: Family, Duty, Honor
House Decription/General Information (optional): Though it's roots lie long ago in the age of heroes, the high position of House Tully is a relatively new creation, created and cemented by the burning of Harren the Cruel. For supporting Aegon in his conquests, the Tullys were granted the lord paramouncy of the trident, ruling all lands from the God's Eye to the northern marshes. Though it commands the respect of most of the rivermen, many proud lords cannot forget that House Tully was their equal not so long ago. Despite this obstacle, the Tully spirit burns strong, and they assert their will with unmatched vitality. The family words, "Family, Duty, Honor", represent the mindset of the tullys; One must sacrifice for the good of the family, and stay true to one's word, whether it be to a servant or to the Throne.

Name: Lord Leoric Tully
Age: 55
Appearance (picture and/or words):

Personality: Leoric has often been called a fool, and it's half true. Though he tries to accomplish things, and works to aid others, he fails more often than not. Whether it be through incompetence or bad luck, he simply cannot succeed. His bitterness only increased when his nightmares began, and he was labelled as insane. He certainly does not feel mad, yet he has grown weak and timid, his position being all but taken by his brother. He desires only to live out his days in peace now.
Biography: Leoric Tully was born during the reign of Viserys I. He grew up alongside his younger brother, Karyl, and the two were rivals in almost everything, Where Leoric was kind and good-hearted, Karyl was cold and unforgiving. And while Karyl was strong, Leoric was frail, and often suffered from his frail health. Nevertheless, when the dance of dragons broke out, it was Leoric who led the riverlander army in support of the dragon queen, his brother being too young for such a task. He did not stand out during these campaigns, his only notable accomplishment being wounded at the Battle of the Lakeshore by a marbrand spear. When the war finally ended with the death of Aegon II and the ascension of his nephew, Leoric returned to the riverlands, only to find his father dead, slain by the pox, and his brother ruling from Riverrun, having managed the riverlands ever since his brother left for war and his father fallen ill.

Leoric was appointed Lord Leoric by the order of the king shortly thereafter. Though he was eager to manage the lands of the trident, he had little skill in this, and frequently caused more problems than he solved. Over the years, an unspoken agreement was formed with his brother: Leoric would rule in Riverrun, and Karyl would do all the work. Leoric eventually married Mallara Strong, daughter of Harenhal. They had great trouble begetting an heir, and for many years it seemed as if Karyl and his sons would inherit the trident, until a boy Mallara bore survived childbirth; He was named Euson Tully.

Life continued as normal for several decades, until Leoric began suffering from nightmares, sometimes even in his waking hours. He saw giants and dead dragons, and frequently saw the world from the eye of an animal. His maester declared him mad, and he was duly isolated from the rest of Westeros, his brother taking on those duties he had not already possessed. Leoric's mental degradation was accompanied by the sickness of his wife, who grew more and ill as time passed. Now, he spends his days locked in his keep, mourning his wife who still lives.

Name: Karyl Tully
Age: 49
Appearance (picture and/or words):

Personality: Karyl Tully is known to be the opposite of his brother, Leoric. Where Leoric is kind and warm, Karyl is cold and aloof. While Leoric fails at most everything, Karyl seems to succeed at everything he touches... Save attaining lordship, of course. This limitation, and the knowledge that he will always have to bow down to his brother, has embittered him considerably, and he has become more and more ruthless as the years passed. He still retains his skills, however.
Biography: Karyl Tully was born in Riverrun some years after his brother, Lord Leoric. He distinguished himself in his studies, and squired for Lord Strong of Harrenhal. When the dance of dragons broke out, he returned to Riverrun to aid his brother, only for Leoric to command him to stay behind, citing his young age. He was thus left behind, and saw none of the action. Despite this, he stood out more than his brother; While Leoric accomplished little and less during the war, Karyl deftly handled those lords who had stayed behind, and amassed another army for the black cause. After the war ended, he was shoved aside of his duties, which were taken up by Leoric, who was newly named Lord after the death of their father.

He was duly married to a Mallister wife, and had several children in the long years that followed. He watched as his noble brother bankrupted the riverlands, and failed at everything from diplomacy to economics. Gradually, he took charge once more, a process which accelerated once his brother began having his nightmares. He now is seen as the true ruler of the Riverlands... Though that authority cannot be passed to his children, as Leoric himself has a son, a troublesome sitution indeed.

I am getting a day off as of tomorrow evening -- Thursday/Friday at the very least. I'll sit down and hammer out what I have memorized from before for the Lannisters. Sorry if I am holding things up.

He rises once more!
It would be interesting to see a proxy war in Captain's empire, yeah.

I think, given that we're all humans, we should say that non-humans died out. None of us seem to want to include them.
Hey Sigma, can I make an NPC nation to fill up some of that white space?
