On a grander scale. In this case, only data relevant to determinism.

In a sick and maybe contradictory sort of way, do you think that attaining that data is never meant to be? Only in the sense that sometimes, some things are actually not possible.
<Snipped quote by Valiance>

Unfortunately, the data I'd like to have is not always within reach.

The data you'd like to have? I'm sure that's just all of it, if only it were possible.

*Chuckles*
Short search.

*Snaps and points*
I'm sure it always is for you.

I would argue that the question is different when looking for empirical data.

When looking for data, sure.

It does. I typically study the practical effects rather than the ideological impact.

Despite overlap in both camps. It's fair, don't get me wrong, but ideological impacts do also influence practical ones.

Perhaps our perception on our own ability to change the world around us inherently alters that very ability.

Which makes sense when you consider it. Intuitively.

What trends have you noticed?

People who don't believe in destiny, or at least believe it to be insignificant like I do, tend to have ideals, goals, and plans with the motivation to actually act on them. Not universal, but a trend nonetheless.

Mm, perhaps their susceptibility to learned helplessness. As a general trend, it seems to be about as influential as other metaphysical beliefs—I just happened to be curious about your thoughts.

It's definitely a way to get a pointer on someone's character.
<Snipped quote by Valiance>

Perhaps not. Fortunately, we aren't without inferences from those patterns.

Do you believe that what people believe about destiny says a lot about them?
<Snipped quote by Valiance>

Even without definitive results, statistical data is still significant.

I'm sure. Just maybe not enough for a conclusion.
