I went out of town for the weekend and came back sick. I'm working through it since my current job is desk-bound, but that means i've been sleeping for most of the day. My internet time has been early in the morning... so we haven't been on at the same time.

The same shit is why I haven't worked on a post for a while. I got a Hassan post for Precipice in response to Googer's that is waiting half finished, and I am sitting on 800 words or so for an Eagles post.

But I will be laid off for a little bit pretty soon, so i'll have nothing but time. For a little while anyway.

1k will be good.

Personally, I find it easy to ramble, so I could easily get posts that go overboard. I always assume too long of post will cause everyone to skim it rather than read, so I try to keep mine between 2-4k. But that is me. If you do small snippet scenes, you could pull off something like 500 or 750 words. 1k is probably best, but if you are writing complete scenes you'll probably want to get at least 1k.

The important thing is the ability to convey the details and character decisions in a way that is believable, and that you are descriptive enough for us to know what exactly it is you are describing.

If you want it to look natural, write your script down on sticky notes and get the girls permission to place the notes on her face. That way, it will look like you are focusing deeply on her eyes while you speak.
