As a side-note, I brought this up to another friend of mine and he laughed it off and made the claim that somehow sexual attraction is genetic and what people really want is to find strange or strong genes as a subconscious effort to keep a healthy gene pool. Which just sounds strange.

Sexual attraction and fetishes are two different things. One is about who you want to have sex with, the other seems to be about what you like sex to be about, or at least what sorts of things you relate to sexuality.
Well in so far as furry shit goes and pony porn (which may as well be the will of 4chan's /co/ board itself since it was where the post demanding it happen was one of the earlier ones in the thread where he kicked the brony fandom off from) the presenter discussed some sort of hicup caused in the relationship between the brain structures that'd make jerking off to anthro or animal-characters. The basic gist being that we know that we see non-humans on the screen, but in the mid-brain or some shit the humanizing writing for characters like Mickey Mouse or Simba or Twilight Sparkle makes them just human enough to make the more primitive section of the brain get hot and bothered. All that's missing then is for people to redraw these characters with human-correct genitalia and boom: show porn. Open up a Patreon or porn AskBlog on Tumblr.

The video admits there are outliers, as-in the case of horse-accurate special bits. But in the grand scheme of everything they're statistically unimportant. And it's one of the areas where I'm most convinced they're a joke.

But you know what, if you want some over-analytic nerd-lord talk about it as I did, then just have at it. Then is if you don't mind the cartoon pones.

I have no doubt about that. It seems sort of elementary, actually. But that is the sort of thing that, for most people, would just be an awkward thought that they put out of their head as soon as it pops up.

The crazy is when somebody decides to go with a particular strange fetish. Most of the common fetishes have some sort of emotional aspect that backs it up: childhood trauma is a common root cause for pedophiles, bondage might be connected to feelings of power or powerlessness, etc. But what the righteous fuck leads to furry porn? Social isolation causing furries to feel closer to anthropomorphic characters than to humans? And how does that loop around and create communities?
@Wilted Rose

You know, maybe it's because I've watched too many Phontomen videos that when I watch Warthunder stuff I half-expect some quirky shit or WW2 music.

If we get an Ethiopian video, it will require reggae.

Something like this.

Yeh. Hence why I prefer bio's and histories over grocery lists.

You can tell more about how an RPer is going to rp from a paragraph or two of bio than you can from twenty questions that require no train-of-thought.
It's a bad sign when people need to be shopping for bad traits to make their characters acceptable. You know if they started out with only good traits in mind, they are wanting to have some mary-sue-jackoff character and will only use the bad traits as the inspiration for some jacking off.
"The more holes the better." That's what my uncle used to tell us.

You don't need eye-hole since your nipples are your eyes.

You need experience yet no one's willing to give you experience.

I guess I can count myself lucky that my college has said they're committed to get its students jobs in their field then, I guess? Like I heard the president of the school come out in an interview and say that if we don't find work in our relevant field after so much time they'd refund us.

Most colleges offer a service like that. Mine did help me pretty up my resume, which was nice, but the rest was just a glorified job-hunting site.

The issue now is that the few jobs available are in incredibly specific fields, and there isn't really a system in place to let people know where these jobs are before they go to college. What we have instead are the college's sales pitches. It certainly doesn't help that the number of educated people are increasing quicker than the number of jobs, or that automation is slowly chipping away at employment and everyone is looking the other direction because the implication of a post-employment economy scares people.

There is no doubt a point where if it was a joke it spins out beyond the bounds or irony.

I did watch an interesting video breaking down why people jack off to furry porn though. Or rather it was about the pony-porn phenomenon but could be extended to furry stuff too. It sort of relies upon the idea that the lizard brain theory and shit though, if you buy into that.

I suspect Disney was at least partially responsible for the furry thing. A mixture of that and social rejection that leads people to identify with peculiar shit. With MLP, that always felt manufactured, like it was a joke that some people started to take seriously. It is like the big kids telling the little kids that dirt tastes good to fool the little kids into eating dirt, which caused the little kids to eat the dirt and feel so pressured into liking it that they eventually decide it was true and started lapping it up. The internet's version of the Asch Conformity Experiment, I suppose.

But to actually go as far as putting fleshlights in pony dolls... there has to be some serious social rejections involved there.
