Current You've heard of BBW and BBQ, but have you heard of BMW? Neither have I, they never signal their turn.

Bio

Thank you for visiting my biography.

I am just a typical Aussie Young Adult juggling social life and work at the same time.

I have not roleplayed in years. I thought maybe I'll re-login once in a while and see how the Guild is going.

I have lost touch with the friends that I've made while I was a resident here. Those of you who were my friends, know that I enjoyed my time roleplaying with you and I hope that it is mutual.

I hope to see you in another life.

Hopefully I won't get a bloody text block and writing block lol.

I would require a situation report, no? What is currently happening?
Character Sheet

Username: PolarMath
Name: Ebenezer Moore
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Main: Vel'Koz
Appearance:

Personality:
Nerd. Weirdo. Creep. He never really gave a damn about'em. All he sees are the incompetence of teenagers playing behind computer screens trying to troll you. What he cared for was logic and resource. He sounds as though he is reclusive, but truly he's a person of critical thought and curiosity-- A computer processor working in harmony across every element of the motherboard. He does not judge but observes and draws conclusions as if diagnosing illness and seeking solutions. He sees those around him as resources of some use within his grand plan.

Short Biography:
Neither society nor Eben knows if he was the result of a consensual conception. He begun his life in an orphanage with a nihilistic keeper in the grounds, breeding curiosity and deep thought even when he was a little child. A humble couple adopted him after 5 years living in that orphanage learning the basics of thinking for yourself and questioning everything that was held in front of him. Questioning everything that anyone claims.

The humble couple was believed by society to be the a lucky winner amongst society-- Knowing that their adopted child Eben was a genius and thoughtful child. He was the top of all of his classes and was smart enough to complete his high school before he reached 15 years old despite spending a considerable amount of time playing in the League of Legends. All of these achievements were undermined by Eben. He felt as though all of this was not enough. Simply pleasing Society and his adopted parents was not the satisfaction that he wanted.

ok, great, can you put a note in to that effect at the start of the round so we possibly get some advantage all up in here?

And one more... series of questions: does a turn have to be taken in the order you outlined? Or could I do the weapon action first (though I guess it wouldn't necessarily make a difference too often)? And if I have an action and a bonus action, could I do two more perception checks to try and work out where the last few bandits are?

It would be ideal if you took it the way the Initiative has been ordered. This is to prevent your action becoming cancelled out because the last action killed the bandit or whatever.

As for the perception checks, you will be allowed to do one check. However at this stage it isn't necessary.
now this is more like it! Ok, so, hypothetically, would shouting to everyone about the two crossbow bandits be an entire action? Would I even be able to in time since I'm last in order?

Shouting is not an action. the other guys will need to make a Perception check to see if they can hear you and then perception check again (with advantage) to spot the crossbowmen.

Oh, also if you shout now it would be fine as it doesnt take much to yell. I will count that as what happens after you spotted them.

I do not mean to be difficult but Sionnie intentionally does not use a bow hence, she could not fire and arrow... it would more likely be a thrown dagger and i am a rogue, rogues are supposed to go for the insta-kill. That is why i play them. i meant to assassinate him, or something of the sort due to the fact i am not a level three rogue.. I don't know, it just seems out of place for Sionnie. We have two perfectly good archers, Sionnie was meant to be a close quarters assassin.

I also chose to focus on my acrobatics and stealth to give me a strong dodge, hide, sneak, speed, and mobility bonus.. i know we are level one but i assume the mobs are two so why is it that i can not get close with two archers to cover me and an illusionist to draw off the attention? I understand if i can not get close.. but at least let me throw a dagger through the back of the bandit's head.. then at least i achieve the same result as planned and i kill him.

It all comes down to the roll of the dice, and your positioning and limitations. You must work with it. You have items at your disposal at which allows you to deal high damage at both a distance and melee. If you're referring to DnD as the DDO version, then this will be a completely different experience as everything is detailed, systematic and followed en pointe. Your damage is based on weaponry and your defence is based on your armor class. No matter how good your acrobatics, athletics is, it is used in ability checks and does not directly impact combat.

Every weapon has its stats. One slightly better or worse than another. They also have their effective range and maximum (with disadvantage) range. I have chosen the best possible course you could've taken in this situation as you are unable to move in behind the Bandit Leader (with his two guards beside him) and deliver a melee attack. The best you could've done was get in his face using Dash an action and you won't be able to attack. From that position, you would also be rained with bolts and impaled in more than one orifice by the bandits.
What does this mean for the bandit leader that i stabbed?@VKAllen

Made a slight modification to your action.
@Bigg Slamm Jethro gracefully rolls towards the left side of the carriage. Your shot was true, and the arrow flew effortlessly into the first Bandit it finds for 4 points of Piercing Damage.

@Saffirra Dusk Make a Perception check.

@Natsucooldude The three bandits saw the phantasm materialise and was surprised. Their attention is focused upon the illusion.

@Sionnie Your presence diminishes in the broad daylight. You carefully maneuver yourself away from the attention of the three bandits in front with the help of Galawayn's illusion into the brushes and fired an arrow to the Bandit Leader, inflicting 9 points of Piercing Damage.
(This was so as you do not have enough movement to reach within melee range)

@neogreggory The melodies and rhythm of the drums soothed the uneasy civilians in the caravan. They look upon one another and embraced themselves with great hope that they'll come out of this struggle unharmed.

Bandit Leader - His complexion shot into a wave of pain as an arrow was struck by his chest. His eyes furiously turned towards the direction in which it had travelled (20, CRITICAL!) and spotted the Albino Tiefling hidden between brushes. He uses his action to dash, engaging the Albino Tiefling into melee range.

Bandit 1 - The arrow was planted deep in his arm, causing him to cry out in pain. He looked towards the perpetrator Jethro intently and began moving his full 30 feet.

@justTypical - Your eyes scan the brushes and trees, and successfully spotted between them two ranged bandits on each side with their crossbows at the ready.

Other bandits - Dumbfounded by Galawayn's illusion, they all fired a bolt to the image (18, 3, 19, 18, 20 CRITICAL!). As soon as they saw their bolts phasing through the image, you could see them facepalm themselves.

End of Round, back to the TOP!
Quick mind map for you guys to give you some sort of idea what's around you guys.

The red lines indicate the dividing line between the road and forestry.

The arrows represent us, and the three in front the enemy (bandit leader is in the middle of course).

The initiatives has been updated as well. Please note that the Initiative will be your posting order in terms of carrying out your turn. Other NPCs that are not yours I will control. Be mindful that since we are doing a dice system, an auto hit will be forced on you should it connects.

You are NOT required to wait for the result of the previous person's dice roll if you are the next person to post. I will take note and give you the results on the next NPC post.
A turn consists of:

1 Action + 1 Bonus Action
Movement Action
1 Weapon Interaction
You may also do ability checks once per turn (some ability checks will be disadvantaged in battle)

I rolled a 16.. on my initiative roll.. Sorry for taking so long. I was really busy today.

That's fine. :)
