Current You've heard of BBW and BBQ, but have you heard of BMW? Neither have I, they never signal their turn.

Bio

Thank you for visiting my biography.

I am just a typical Aussie Young Adult juggling social life and work at the same time.

I have not roleplayed in years. I thought maybe I'll re-login once in a while and see how the Guild is going.

I have lost touch with the friends that I've made while I was a resident here. Those of you who were my friends, know that I enjoyed my time roleplaying with you and I hope that it is mutual.

I hope to see you in another life.

I can not advocate this system but i'll go with it... every game has it's rules no matter how silly What if i use a long sword and a dagger.. then i get slashing damage and if i use it it could be piercing damage as well(if that is allowed)

The difference between a longsword and a rapier is that the two weapons uses two different stats. Longsword uses Strength as its determining Stat and Rapiers uses Dexterity as its determining Stat.

However, I will give you the interchangeability of the weapons being slashing or piercing. Technically all swords are capable of doing it.
@Sionnie I did the damage calculation. Guess what? You killed him just as described!

Except on one hand its a rapier... Lol.
I'm not trying to be a bitch or give you a hard time.... I am just thoroughly confused how you do stuff in this role play... That's all.

I am not offended the slightest. Since this is the first combat encounter in this setting (post and play setting) there will be a system that should hopefully clean up mess like this. In essence, I am working on bettering the system for this platform.

My God........ She has said countless of times she uses two daggers........ I'm done trying to fight with you... have it your way Mr. DM... You rule this role play... whatever you say, goes....

@Sionnie If this was the case, then that would be my horrible bad. Although I would ask you to consider; Rapier is 1d8 for you, Dagger is 1d4. If you do wish to use two daggers, it is 1d4 damage.
<Snipped quote by VKAllen>

Okay... I'm sorry.. but why the hello would she wield a rapier??? She is a freaking Rogue! Do you not get the concept of a rogue??? They don't use bows.. they sure as hell don't use rapiers... She has two daggers... her tail as a tiefling can also be used as a dagger... I think before you try to be a DM... You need to learn what classes use what weapons.. And what that class is actually capable of.. everything Sionnie has done is something she can legitimately do.. at level one... She has had her tail since she was born... You would think she could use it as a weapon.. yes? Yeah.. She could...

Standard Equipment given as default.

There were no mentions of a change in the equipment.

And the tail? Unfortunately, no.

Though this is actually the third blow and my rolls have been way too lucky.. (Even i don't blame you for doubting them... =_= Just watch, I'll pay for this when we fight a dragon and all i can roll are ones.. lol) so is he dead or will he make a surprise attack and be like "uh, hey there... you didn't finish the job hehe"

Do not worry, my doubts were irrational considering that I rolled two 20s.

At this stage, if you are using your bonus action to deliver a second strike which is using a Rapier and a Dagger, I need you to roll the following dies:

Rapier is 1d8, double that result and then add 3 to that score.

Dagger is 1d4-- as this is a second attack and you do not have 'Two-Weapon Fighting' feat, you do not get your damage mod.
Usually.. as the GM.. you should've looked into the other editions.. knowing that people might want some stuff out of them... That is your own fault for not learning about them.. and in Sionnie's case..... It doesn't matter if he is the bandit leader or if he is a normal bandit... he is human.. or whatever race he is.. he doesn't have added health benefits... he still bleeds the same way the normal bandits do... he can still die the same way a normal bandit does... so your bandit leader being not like the other bandits is bullshit.... He dies just like the rest of the bandits... Sionnie's "Attempt" to kill the "Bandit leader" would work.. and he would be dead.... point blank end of story.

Then again, I as a DM have the right to say which edition will be involved in the campaign-- to which I have specified the Fifth Edition as it is the Edition that I have experience in. If you now decided that you don't want to be part of this campaign because it is only the Fifth edition, you should consider your membership in this RP.

Onto the Bandit Leader, each enemy has their own set of statistics inside the Monster Manual and the Internet. These are the stats that are being put against yours. Sure they might be a normal human, but their race does not dictate their deaths-- The statistic does. If you simply do not do enough damage to take an enemy down-- then you did not reduce their hitpoints down enough to 0.
... I don't think you understand what I mean.. Take certain things from the other editions and put it into this one... I have seen it be done before.. I have played in one where it was 4th edition and he put a bunch of things from the 1st edition to the 3rd into the 4th.. It can be done... You are just incapable of doing so.. Or just plainly don't want to out of your own stubbornness.

My knowledge only comes from the Fifth Edition and this is the first time I took on the role of DM, I mentioned this earlier and in the very first post respectively. I have no knowledge of the previous edition and therefore my ability to be able to weave other parts of the edition is beyond me.

@VKAllen I do have one BIG question. I thought it would be ok to aim for fatal points on mobs such as the throat or arterial artery, and as a rogue or ranger have the precision to do so. Zayge made two blow first with shield and then her sword, and jethro shot once then twice and killed a bandit as well. Yet a problem is raised when i stab the eye and then the throat? I thought i would have two daggers and my tail could count as a third if you would allow it... so why can't i make these moves? Why can't i finish the bandit off? (I am not picking i fight. I want to understand so the next time i can kill this exasperating bastard! unless you will let him die now and next time i'll act according to what you tell me in your responce..)

Generally no matter where you aim at the target it will not do much difference. Your descriptions are what's called flavour text. The damage is based around the weapon used for the attack and your feats that you get over the course of the adventure. As a First Level Rogue, there isn't much that you could do at that power level other than attacking normally. As for an instant kill, it can't be done as the Bandit Leader is tougher than the average Bandit.
You know.... Why don't you just add the others??? Does it have to be only 5E?? Can't you combine them? Or are you incapable of doing so?

The system is different as it is a revision from the previous edition. Simply putting a mix of them will not work as the class' mechanics are different in each edition.

In an analogy, they're different realities in parallel universes.
@Saffirra Dusk Please roll 1d8 for sword slash and add 3 to that score.

@Sionnie would you like me to amend your action?
