I was thinking about classic medival, but in the end, i decided that characters wearing plate armor would have too much of an advantage, being impervious to almost all hack & slash attacks, save for a few weapons such as pollaxes, yet also allowing enough mobility to fight on par with a lightly armored opponent.
So i decided that it's either no plate armor, or add superhuman power. Tier 2 by the Everlasting should be enough in my opinion.
Khan, i was thinking just about the same, though not entirely. Superhuman physical ability will be an okay, but nothing other than than that, in order to keep it somple. Also, unlike the previous iteration, i'll encourage the wear of full body armor.
So yeah, no kicking Rilla in the babymaker. That's magic.
He's OP even for T7. His energy absorption allows him to take far more than the long long range artillery bombardment mentioned as the T7 durability limit, and morever, he will explode afterwards with force exceeding the T7 power limits. There is literaly no may for the majority, if not all arena participants to kill him without making him KERBLOOOOM!!11, since it absorbs any type of energy, rite? How am i even supposed to WANT to fight that?
The mater transformation is also plenty dodgy. What stops him from turning the whole battlefield into one big explosive and then make it boom while chilling out in his energy absorbing suit? Or turn everything into plasma? Or turn his opponent into a penguin?
