I thought all TACPs were either Warrants or Officers. At least the ones I saw at Fort Irwin were.

Dunno about that. It's not really necessary. If you read the article at the top of the page it has an archetype known as the 'Ambivalent Patriot'. He pretty much fits the bill, only being in for the bare minimum of time to get his GI Bill benefits.
I'd like one of the Automatic Rifleman roles. Looks fun to pull that off. Get to be the guy who lugs that M249 and the heavy ass ammo that comes with it.
