"Boris! As a Warlock of the ancient Hex bloodline, you shall forever serve me and my master when we wish it. Know that should you attempt treachery then you shall experience pains far worse than any mortal torture in all of human history!" Baal said menacingly to Boris. Boris was kneeling before the great demon and nodded his head understanding his master's words.

"I understand master and will do your bidding" he replied and his vision of the demon vanished and he found himself on his knees in an abandoned mansion where he had destroyed a rogue warlock who had sought to betray his demonic masters. He did a good job of hiding his desire to be free from his masters, but there were times when he had to convince himself to not completely give into the evil within him. He was struggling with keeping his darker self at bay, but he felt himself slowly loosing the battle.

present day

His memories on that day for whatever reason were in his mind and gazed out over the city from the top of a building. His familiar Morbid was perched on his shoulder.

"Fly my friend, find those who plague the weak and innocent so that I can send them down to hell" Boris commanded his familiar and the crow took off from his shoulder and began to fly over the buildings and streets on the look for criminal activity. Boris saw what the crow saw and after a few minutes of flight spotted prey. Boris smiled and made his way towards the alley where Morbid was circling.

Name: Boris Hex

Equipment: Boris has a warlock staff, which helps him focus his magical powers, and a tome of madness which is a book which allows him to summon dangerous spirits.

Power/Special Skill: His powers all stem from black magic that he received when he made a pact with a demon.

Hex: This black magic spell allows Boris to attack his enemies minds with a wave of magical energy that can cause a good amount mental damage and drive his victims to madness.

Eldritch Blast: Boris fires off a powerful blast of force that cause a large of amount of concussive damage. The size and power of the blast is determined by how much power he puts into the attack.

Familiar: This ability allows him to summon his familiar which is a crow named Morbid. Familiars are spirits that take a physical form in the shape of an animal, when they are in a physical form they can be killed and sent back to the spiritual plane and can't called back for several hours. His familiar can used to scout out an area and he can perceive everything that it can see, hear or touch. Morbid can also fire off magic blasts of his own, but they are not very strong.

Hellfire: Boris can create crimson red flames that take the shape of dangerous animals and burn much hotter than normal fire. This ability using up a large amount of magical power and can drain him of power much quicker than his other abilities.

Demonic Summons: By calling on the dark forces, Boris can summon demonic entities that can attack his enemies. Like with his Hellfire ability this power can lower his magic reserves much quicker than his powerful abilities.

Armor of Baal: This spell covers Boris in black transparent tentacles that can protect him from harm, but if he takes too many hits then the spell will begin to deteriorate.

Backstory: for thousands of years, Boris' family has harbored a dark and demonic bloodline that first came to be when an ancestor sold his soul for great magical power. As a price for attaining such a curse was placed on the Hex family and those that showed magical promise would forever be doomed to fall into the black arts of the Warlocks. Boris was one of those few in his family, but he like all of the others made a pact with a demon to save a loved one from death. When he was fourteen Boris' father was diagnosed with cancer and only had months to live.

That was when the demon Baal who had been worshiped as a god by the ancient Canaanites came to him with an offer to save his dad in exchange for making a pact with it. Boris' asked what the demon would do with him once the pact was made, and Baal merely answered that the power that he would give him would be his to control, but if he had an order for him then Boris would have to follow it. Baal reached out with his grotesque hands and placed it upon Boris' chest and he felt his skin burn as the demon marked him.

When the process of the pact was complete Baal vanished, but not before leaving one last message, "remember once a pact is made it can never be broken, you are damned for all eternity." The next day Boris saw that his father had miraculously been cured of his cancer and decided to go celebrate. But things would take a dark turn when their car was hit by an intoxicated driver and his father was killed. While he was pulled from the wreckage, Boris swore he had seen Baal among the crowds of onlookers and he heard the deep and creepy laughter of the demon.

Boris realized that he had been tricked by Baal and given up his soul for nothing. With his father dead, Boris wandered the globe learning to control his powers and trying to find a way to rid himself of the demonic power within him. He also has been trying to use his powers to right wrongs done to others with his dark powers.

Personality: dark, cold and determined.

Physical Appearance: He is very good looking, but he also has a rough appearance kind of like that of a man who as seen war or experienced hardship. His muscle build is very well developed for a person his age and looks to be at the peak of physical perfection.

Attire: He normally wears average clothes such as pants and shirt sleeved shirts. His favorite type of clothing are shirts that show off his southern and catholic pride.

Personality

Innate & Outward Personality: Ash is a very religious boy and strongly tied to his catholic faith and is rather conservative. He is very proud of his southern heritage and will not take any crap from people who insult his culture. On the outside he is very direct and has a don’t screw with me attitude and he hates snobs with a burning passion. Ash also is a bit bigoted against northerners especially New Englanders.

He not very accepting of people he finds sinful and won’t back down from speaking his mind. He hates liberals and people that he views as using lies to control people. He is very street smart and is quite intelligent, he just doesn’t flaunt it like a Yankee.

Deep down Ash is slightly insecure with the world around do to being exposed to social media at a young age. He feels like the world is against him for his beliefs and that he has to fight back in order to not be constantly persecuted. He believes that his powers are a gift from God and that he needs to protect those against the corruption and evil of sin.

History/Bio: Being a southern born child whose parents were forced to head north because of opportunity, things were rough for Ash. Because of his accent and heritage, many northerners or Yankees as he liked to call them, saw him as being intellectually and culturally inferior. Names like redneck, hick and homophobe were tossed his way and it was these incidents that made him get a nasty view of the world.

His experiances were not too different from many others for in the modern world there is a great amount emotional abuse. Not wanting to have anything to do with the north, Ash looked to his faith as a way of finding solace and comfort. He was sure that his life would be one of a constant battle between the forces of sin and evil.

Ash’s parents tried to have more children, but all of them were stillborn and this made his mother suffer from depression. He prayed to God that he would one day be blessed with a sibling.

But he wasn’t expecting his life to change drastically as it did when his powers activated and he found that he could control every aspect of a swamp. It was fitting since he was a Luisianan and he was able to recreate an environment that he was familiar with. Ash soon discovered that he could also make animals who lived in swamplands do his command and he believed his power to be a gift from God.

With his powers now activated, Ash was accepted to Academy 218 for gifted humans. He was interested in learning to fully control his powers, but he didn’t want to have to deal with Yankees who would treat like he was inferior. So he decided that he would go, but he would stand up for himself and not take any crap from anyone.

As an alias Ash calls himself Swamp King, and on the day of his arrival at the Academy his mother announced that she was pregnant with another child. Ash hoped that this one survived and he would have a young sibling.

Power:

Swamp Mimicry: Ash can makes his body transform into swampland and still maintain bodily functions. He can harden his skin into rock hard mud for extra power and possesses the power to merge his body with any kind of soil and with this ability he can travel great distances at near very fast speeds.

Swamp Manipulation: This power allows Ash to create and manipulate the elements of a swamp and can do such things as shoot great wads of mud of various density from very hard to incredibly gooey. He can also make swamp plants grow and ensnare his enemies.

Swamp Animal communication: Ash can communicate with all kinds of swamp animals.

Eyes of The Swamp: Ash is literally able to see with his mind’s eye every aspect of a swamp. If anything is in the same swampland as him then he can find them with this ability.

Limits: using too much of power can cause him fatigue and if he tires then his powers will falter

Weaknesses/Drawbacks: Anywhere that is very dry or devoid of water is his worst enemy since his powers work much better when he is in a moist environment. Intense heat that can evaporate water is also dangerous to him and chemicals that are deadly to swamp plants and animals are very bad for him as well.

Powers: Cartoon Constructs: This ability allows him to create solid cartoon objects and beings which he can use in many different ways. These constructs can have the physical qualities and abilities of whacky cartoon characters, and they also have personalities like cartoon characters and can speak.

Despite their versatility his constructs do have a limited time for how long they can be maintained and will start to deteriorate, or will shatter if too much force is put against them. Also the bigger his constructs are, the more energy he uses up to make them and keep them strong. The strength of his constructs are determined by how positive his emotional state is, if he is too negative then his powers will weaken.

Brief bio: Walter Chuck Jones never really saw himself as special, but that never got him down. He was always willing to try and look on the bright side of things. He loved watching cartoons throughout all of his childhood, and tried to use the feeling he got from watching the shows to make others feel happy. But things weren't always that good for Walt, he was bullied at school on a few occasions and was many times thought of as the joke of the school, but he still didn't let it get him down.

Little did he know in his blood he carried a mutated gene that had laid dormant for generations, but now it was active inside of him and one day when he had just turned fourteen, he discovered his great powers. His new found powers were the ability to create cartoon constructs and have them do whacky things. He saw this as his chance to become a hero and do some good for the people, and so he named himself Toon Master.

He is now seeking to fight against the villains who threaten the innocent, and when Walt gets into fighting crime, wackiness is sure to follow. he still attends school, but he has a trouble keeping up with school and hopes that he doesn't fail all of his test because of his hero work.
