@Grey Star well I designed with this being a light superhero rp in mind. It just seems that light hearted superhero stories tend to have more broad power sets.

Also he doesn't have any range capabilities, and would it help if I added in weaknesses?

are you joking around or being serious? Using a viking in a fight against a samurai is unbalanced and unfair, a knight is a way better comparison.

I don't like it when people obsess over katanas and don't give European longswords or any other non Asian blade a shot. Seriously Asians aren't the only great warriors and it's ignorant to think so

Personality: Van is extremely boastful and has an ego of incredible size [pun intended]. He’s a boy with a chip on his shoulder and wants to do the best that he can do to get fame and hero status. Van is incredibly tenacious and will never give up no matter how hard the challenge is. The power of determination is what drives him to keep pushing him to do better and Van loves to do the incredible.
Before his powers had activated Van was hoping to become a hero in a more mundane way such as helping solve problems to humanity, but ever since he discovered his powers Van’s personality became somewhat like a rock star and his ego rose along with it.

Abilities:
Elemental Transmutation Aura: Van’s body is surrounded by anaura with the capability of transforming into both classical and chemical elements. This allows him to change his body and aura to match those of different substances. For example Van can change his aura so that his body matches the substances of rubber or surround his body in flames for highspeed flight. In terms of offense Van can use this power to charge his body with lightning and electrocute his enemies or burn them by surrounding it with fire. As for defensive abilities, Van can change his body into type of rock or metal for protecting him against attacks. He is also capable of changes his body into cases for different purposes.
Skills: Van is very skilled in chemistry and biology. He is also a good armed and unarmed combatant.

Brief Backstory: Van was a boy with a dream of being great and showing everyone that he could be the best hero ever. Being a Metahuman, he didn’t know that he had powers until he had hit puberty and until then Van focused his time on his love of chemistry and biology with the hopes of cracking the cases of several issues facing humanity.
Reading stories about superheroes are what inspired him to do great things for purpose of going down in history as a great contributor to the greater good. Things would change a bit when his powers activated and he found himself with the incredible power to transmute his body and aura into different elements and substances.
With his new powers Van decided to take up hero work and become a warrior for justice and fight against evil wherever he could find it. He is Kid Incredible and he is ready to take challenges head on with everything that he’s got.

Magic:
Neutra - Pure Magic: Van possesses a strange magical power that relies on channeling pure magical energy. It doesn't create or utilize an existing element, it works on the basis of just pure magic. With this power he is able to shape it into several shapes such as spheres, cubes and other forms as well as blast it out in the form of a beam. By creating a large shape, Van is able to use it as a barrier against attacks as his main method of defense. His pure magical attacks hit with force damage and works similiar to concussive force. Van can also manipulate his pure magic to influence objects in a way similiar to telekinesis and the color of this magic is crimson red. Pure Magic is unique to Van and no one else in family or anyone he has known as ever been able to use such magic, which makes his powers a mystery.

Strengths: Van's magic is pure and therefor very powerful. It is not as complex as some of the other types of magic, but it makes up for it in raw power. He is great at firing his magic in the form of beams and balls of energy as well as shape it for different purposes. Finally Van has a large well of magical power to draw from thanks to this magic.

Weaknesses: Pure Magic is not as versatile as more complex magic and being pure magic means that it can use up more magical energy. Because it is not made up of any classic elements, Pure Magic does not have any of the benefits that elemental mages can have through manipulation of the elements. Simplicity and long lasting endurance in combat is his biggest weakness currently with Pure Magic

Personality: Being a demon Van can have a bad temper and his not afraid to show violence despite his age. Thanks to having a unique magical power that no one else he knows has Van has a bit of a superiority complex and thinks that his power makes him unique and better than other magic users. Despite these flaws Van has a sense of honor and doesn't give up easily. He has a drive to win at all of the challenges that he faces and overcome them with the best of his abilities. Van will never give unless he has tried as hard as he can when facing any obstacle.

Backstory: Van was born to an average demon family known as the Torr and from an early age he had dreams of being a powerful mage even though his family history was not anything special when it came to magical talent. Despite this Van still kept his hopes up and was determined to show his family that he was capable of powerful magic.

This gave him a reputation among other demon children of his home realm as getting into fights with other demon children who laughed at his dreams. He wanted so much to finally be able to use magic that he wished many times for the power. That's when the dream came, or a nightmare as he would call it. In his dream he found himself in a baron field full of bloodied corpses and among the horrible sights was a cloaked figure who stood tall over the battlefield.

The figure approached Van and then spoke to him with a terrifying voice. His words were full of promises of power and of the risks of having such powers. Van agreed and the figure endowed him with the capability of harnessing pure magic. He awoke to find that he now had a powerful magical talent and had what he desired. Now he needed work on refining his magical talents.

That's when he was given a chance learn how to use magic at Liseranna Academy and Van was more than eager to go and start his journey to become a powerful mage and make his family name legend.

Chester couldn't believe his bad luck and hated that his assault on their former teammate seemed to be doing nothing. It seemed like everything was going horribly wrong and it looked like he might be joining Leviathan outside of the battle. Ves then began to shake violently and threw off dozens upon dozens of rats at such an incredibly fast rate and Chester had to hold onto the Amazon for dear life. His eyes widened in horror when he caught sight of Archie flying through the air and smashing against a wall. Chester watched in terror as his pet rat's blood splattered onto the wall.

"NO!!!! ARCHIE!!!" He screamed as his grip on his enemy began to loosen and then he lost his hold on Ves and was thrown off of her at great speed. Chester flew through the air and landed hard on the floor on top of a pile of dead rats covered in blood. They cushened his fall so he wasn't killed, but he felt his right leg and arm break upon impact. The pain was instant and awful. He tried to move, but couldn't thanks to his leg being in horrible pain and he was only able to pull himself up into a sitting position.

He looked around for Amy and his eyes saw her feebly crawling towards Archie's broken body. Chester tears start to form in his eyes as he watched his pets die together and couldn't believe that this was happening. Amy embraced Archie one last time before dying with her companion. Chester felt sick and then his strength just seemed to vanish and he fell back into a lying position, breathing heavily. He could not believe what had happened, two of his closest friends had died and he was now unable to help his team anymore.

Chester fumbled for the button that would return him to normal size and he was eventually able to find it and grow back to normal. He was helpless just like the time Robin died and now two other of his friends were dead.

"Oh God, everything is going so horribly wrong!" he said as he just lay on floor, his broken body in horrible pain.
