Cryptid Shape Shifting: James is able to magically shape shift into different beast from legends such Big Foot, The Lochness Monster and more. As it is right now he has five different forms that he can change into and each form comes with their own special abilities. It takes him five seconds to change forms and the more he changes the more energy he uses.

Sasuatch: This form grants James great strength and allows him to lift a max of five tons. He also has night vision.

Champ: This form is for underwater travel and combat. As Champ James can hold his breath for three hours underwater and his skin is dense enough to allow him to dive down to very deep depths with no pain and thus gives him high resistance to blunt damage.

The Dogman: The Dogman form is strong, but not as strong as James' Sasquatch form, but The Dogman is far faster and more agile as well as have a far greater sense of smell and tracking capabilities. 

The Jersey Devil: This form allows him to fly at top speed of 300 mph and has great aerial maneuverability.

The Best of Bladenboro: In this shape James is a little bigger than an average cat and is vampiric in nature and needs to drink blood to sustain his strnegth.

History: James was born in a small town in the Midwest of America and for as long as he could remember the stories of legendary beasts such as the Sasquatch and the lochness monster. He always had a dream of finding such incredible beasts despite all of his friends telling him constantly that they didn't exist. Little did James know, he was a homo-magi and thus capable of wielding the arts of magic. For James his magic was the ability to shift into cryptids and take on their shapes. These amazing abilities made him powerful and it wasn't long until he started using them for the greater good. With a costume he made himself, James' took on the name Strange Beast and began his teen career of hero work.

He eventually teamed up with Animal Man and two did some work together. The senior hero then introduced him to the new team of teenage heroes known as the Teen Titans and James' excited to meet others like him with special powers.
