Harry has fled from his duty, and as such, the world has suffered greatly from it. Voldemort has taken the wizarding world by storm, and some believe he is building an army to take on the world itself. Tension builds between the local muggle government and the wizards themselves, and many believe that war is brewing underneath it all. Muggles continue to disappear as well, sent off to camps where they are "re-educated".

You are a seventh year student at Hogwarts. You are not special beyond your wizarding abilities, and as such, you are ready to graduate soon. What happens next will change your life, and Hogwarts forever. Will you succeed where Harry could not? Can you fight back against the Dark Lord himself?

Character Sheet

Name: This is fairly obvious. What is your name? Please note, all famous houses in the books/films are taken.

Age: Your character is already in their 7th year, so make your age appropriate.

Gender: Another fairly obvious question.

House: All four houses are still at Hogwarts, however Gryffindor is now looked down upon by the others. Slytherin makes up the biggest, strongest and "best" house. All information on the aforementioned houses has been scrubbed if it did not fit the narrative Voldemort was creating.

Appearance: Pictures are fine, but I still want a description of your character. Please do not use anime pictures.

Blood Status: If you are a "mud-blood", you must explain how you have concealed such a status. Mud-bloods at Hogwarts ARE possible, but it is quite rare.

Abilities: What school of magic is your character great in? Is your character good at Transfiguration or Charms? Perhaps they are more trained in Hexes?

Best Spell: What spell is your character excellent with? For Harry, many said he was the best with Expelliarmus. Please note, only Slytherin students receive training in any type of offensive spells.

Personality: What is your character like? How do they react to events around them? Is there family an old, pureblood family, and if so, how do they react to muggles/mud-bloods?

History: What is your characters backstory. What was their upbringing like? How did they fare at Hogwarts their first couple of years there?

World Info

The wizarding world has definitely changed since Voldemort took power after the Battle of Hogwarts. Immediately reconstructing the Ministry of Magic, the sole purpose of the magical government turned from governing to persecuting Muggles and their kin. With no one able to fight back collectively, the government would eventually place the muggles in "re-education" camps. Stories of these camps are quite terrible, though none can be completely proven. Most try to make the rumors disappear, or calmly claim they are hyperbole.

Voldemort led a very concentrated campaign to find Harry after he fled the battle. For years, the Ministry sent out bounty hunters, mercenaries and even muggles to capture the young man. However, none were ever successful, and to this day, Harry has not been found. It is widely believed he is dead at this point, even though the Ministry continues to put out posters. The other troublesome wizards of the era have either been killed or captured, their lives snuffed out by Voldemort's regime.

Hogwarts has been rebuilt to Voldemort's ideals, and the castle shows his influence. The headmasters pictures have been destroyed, and all that remains are shrines to Voldemort's abilities and "events". The four noble houses are still incorporated into teaching, as Voldemort was unable to completely get rid of the history behind them. Gryffindor students are looked down upon by the teachers however, and they are disadvantaged when it comes to their overall teaching. Many new students pray not to be sorted into Gryffindor, simply because they do not want their education to lack. Slytherin has become the predominant house, with their students even being taught offensive spells. Many graduates from that house go on to become Ministry or political players.

Name: "Sir" Wulfric York

Gender: Male

Age: 31

Role/Position: Blacksmith

Wulfric has a strong physique owing to the grueling labor that smithing can give you. Standing at 5'9", Wulfric carries the well-known blond genes that his parents gave him. His blond hair is long and unkempt beyond normal hygiene standards, mostly due to him wanting to conceal his identity from would-be assassins or turncoats. However, while smithing, the hair is kept in a tight ponytail behind him, away from the bronze fires and coals. Facial scars fill the squared jawline of the last son of York, mostly inflicted on him when he was little.

Personality: Some would say Wulfric is shy, or even bashful. The actual truth is the fact that Wulfric is not a fan of speaking out of turn. A short lifetime full of torture, fighting and nightmare has forced him to hold his tongue unless he truly needs to speak. Because of this, many believe he has some sort of anxiety with speech. Preferring that his actions answer more then anything else, Wulfric is a quiet soul that pounds out the steel the company uses throughout the night.

However, do not take his quiet side as a negative. Though not entirely social, Wulfric is a fantastic listener, and can provide background advice others may not see or even understand. Not one to be rude, anyone that strikes up a conversation with Wulfric will be leading the conversation, but he will definitely add his own bits to the social event. Ironically, Wulfric is more social to children, and has been seen actually actively conversing with children from local orphanages. He continues to look for an apprentice to this day.

History: The York family were once a proud line, having owned several estates throughout the Kingdom of Westar. Wulfric was the youngest son of a rather large portion of the family, and was raised quite well. Being the squire for one of his older brothers, Wulfric would never become the heir of the family, but was happy nonetheless. This noble upbringing gave Wulfric a short teaching in both combat and reading. However, his life would come crashing down around him due to a feud between the his family and the Dunstands. Finally culminating in a clash in the streets, the York family were cut down through assassinations, executions and even abductions. Wulfric himself was captured in a quick abduction, where he was a prisoner for over 3 years of his life. A great majority of his scars come from this time period, where he was tortured brutally at the hands of several banner-men.

Through sheer luck, Wulfric was eventually able to escape. Realizing he was the only surviving member of his family, Wulfric went on to become an apprentice at a local bakery. His time there was short enough, and soon, he was under the tutelage of a blacksmith, who allowed Wulfric to stay there only as a tutor to his own children. Wulfric's ability to read allowed him to barter it as a tool, teaching those that could not. Picking up several abilities underneath the blacksmith, Wulfric would apprentice under him and the rest is history.

Wulfric is now the company swordsmith, casting the steel needed to create more weapons for the soldiers and infantry. His is well-known throughout the camp as the quiet man that can build you a pretty good weapon if need be.

Skills and Abilities: Wulfric is stout and strong, and his physique is not lacking. Larger and more broad then others due to his craft, it takes a large amount of pain to finally down the smith. In addition to his physique, Wulfric is rather learned, and can be seen reading many books at night. This gives him insight on people, customs and even particular noble families. Finally, Wulfric is an accomplished smith, and can create great works of art from metal. Repairing armor and swords can be done quickly and with little error, given he has the resources available.

Weakness(es): Wulfric is emotionally scarred from his former life. Furthermore, his survival means that assassins are constantly searching for him. The companies movement throughout the country is a blessing, as it does not stay in the same place for long. Additionally, though he is more skilled then your average peasant, he is still rather clumsy with fighting.

Equipment: Wulfric usually wears tanned hides and leathers, along with his tool apron. Almost always having his smithing hammer on him gives him an improvised weapon, and he can wield it well enough to fight off would-be attackers. Since blacksmith's rarely go to war with the rest of the company, Wulfric does not use much armor beyond leather and occasional brigandine.

@Aristo That is up to you actually. The manner of death can affect your character as well, but keep in mind you will be moving through the public as well. Most citizens will not take kindly to a headless ghost moving through a crowd.

Harry Potter was known as the Boy who lived. At such a young age, he became an accomplished wizard who was able to stop and kill one of the most powerful villains ever known. His tales are told throughout the wizarding world, including those of the intelligent Hermione Granger and the brave Ron Weasley. Through his sacrifice and duty, Potter was able to stop Voldemort and bring ultimate peace to the world itself. Had Voldemort been able to continue, his efforts would have been costly for all muggles world-wide.

This tale is your own. This is what happened in your world, not mine. The tale of the brave Harry Potter is unknown to us here. Our tale is one woven with hatred and death, where no one saved us from the ultimate destruction. This is our tale.

When the first battle of Hogwarts concluded, Voldemort gave Harry a choice. Come out and face him or the entire school would be slaughtered. In your world, Harry bravely faced Voldemort with determination and duty. Ours?

Our Harry fled.

Perhaps it was nerves. Maybe someone took him from the battlefield, because they did not understand how the future would look. Or maybe Harry was killed by something on the side before he could meet Voldemort in that fated battle. Regardless of the circumstances, the duel between Harry and Voldemort never occurred. Disappearing into the forests of the surrounding hills, Harry crept away from his final duty. His sacrifice was not made, and the students of Hogwarts paid dearly for his cowardice.

That was over 5 years ago. The wizarding world has changed greatly since that fateful day. Voldemort remains in power, though he has not been seen publicly in over 3 years. The Ministry of Magic was entirely rebuilt, with "purebloods" taking all seats of any real power. Muggles and those of any tainted sort were taken to camps, where they could be properly educated of their place in the world.

The trio of would be heroes were changed as well. Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley were both killed during the second Battle of Hogwarts, as were many other students. Voldemort systematically made sure to scrub the book clean when it came to those that assisted the muggles. In fact, the Weasley family were all but completely killed off, as were any other traitors to the pureblood cause. Harry has not been seen in years as well, though the Ministry seems to believe he is still alive, hiding out somewhere.

Hogwarts is still teaching students, albeit with a completely different curriculum. Purebloods are given absolute power over muggles, and muggle wizards are incredibly rare. Wand ownership is only allowed if one can prove their blood is pure, and attendance at Hogwarts is required for most magical children.

Voldemort has not broken the secrecy pact with the local British government, though sentiment towards the current ruling Prime Minister is at an all time low. Furthermore, war seems to be on the horizon, as Voldemort sees the British government as a stepping stone to him ruling the world itself. To this day, he continues to stamp out local covens of rebel wizards and witches, executing those that would subvert his power. The other wizarding schools have been either completely absorbed or "shut down" (Slaughtered).

You live in this world now. As a pureblood wizard, you are currently in your 7th year of attending Hogwarts. You have always felt off while there however, as you do not share the same hatred for muggles like the other students in your class. Your life will change forever very soon, as you will thrust into another rebellion against you-know-who.

Hi everyone! This is a story and possible RP that I have always been wanting to start. The roleplay would be simple enough, with 4 players joining forces with the resistance to topple the Ministry and attempt to kill Voldemort himself. It will be a lot of fun, with dark and grim edges as well. I've always wanted to see a more dark version of HP, and I believe this will be a fantastic answer to that!

Currently looking for interest in the topic itself, and if there is, I will release a CS and the OOC :)
