To other countries, we have an American accent. It's not as bland at it may sound.

It's "bland" in a way that allows it to be a base for like every other accent ever. So I like to have fun practising new accents, like an African one, or an Irish (this one is really hard to get omq), or etcetera.

Well it sucks, since we kicked their butts in the Revolutionary War. You're with us. The US is the greatest, most powerful country in the world, in terms of military strength, political systems, social interactions, and personal freedoms.

And I'm cool with that. But I'm also going to give homage to Britain. I'm still speaking English. I love the American accent (actually, one of the reasons for that is that it's inflectionless and thus I can imitate many other accents), and lots of American customs and food.
