So I guess the creators of the SAT don't like it. But it's still perfectly fine in regards to the history of English.
So according to Oxford, some people object to it as ungrammatical, but the practice actually dates back to the 16th century.

Oh yeah, acceptable. But remember that "they" only applies to a group when you're taking the SAT. They like to throw that. For a guy, you're "supposed" to say "He or she" "He or she went to the store."Acceptable socially, but not correct. It's stupid how tests don't allow for the evolution of the English language, but whatever.
Not correct in the tests. I'll keep that in mind. I'm going to go see if Oxford accepts they as a singular neuter pronoun.
