I just don't know if I want to split up plot days.

It'd be a simple cycle of 3 (or 4) days, and in each day a certain one of us can do something important we might want to do. A day starts either on a new day or after the end of a plot thing of the current day. Simple and non-restrictive. One can even ask the others if he can do his plot point before his day, and the others can let him if they don't want to do anything for their days.

Perfect. Thanks! So, what did you have in mind?

Oh.Hax.Eh, I don't know. I don't think it's really an issue, but I'm generally lightly paranoid that it is.

I've mulled over it carefully to see if it would break the kind of vibe we want. I'm as sure as possible that it won't.

So much haaax

Paper what?Even though the poison claws of Rhetro's guy didn't do anything? (He will be returning, by the way).I personally don't really want to do that. It makes it mechanical and planned; I was actually leaning more toward no OOC discussion of IC details.

The one with Gilda,

These don't directly poison her. It's applying a magical effect, rather than physical. They've done their research. So if they hit her, despite not touching her, they'll release whatever effect the bullet has over her inherent barrier of order, and it'll seep into her.

How about this? We split up the days. We don't necessarily say we're going to do something on this or that day, just that if we want to do something on our days, that's our day to do it. Obviously when we do do things it'll have to extend into more days, but that's an unavoidable effect anyway. It won't be mechanical at all. I definitely don't want it to be mechanical or planned. This is a free form roleplay. It just keeps us from accidentally clashing.

Man vs. Self is often used in mine as well. Nature, not so much.

Nature is actually technically Man vs. a force greater than himself, so not necessarily nature. For example, the Spirits opposing the realisation of the elements in Paper Sky.

What kind of bullets are these mercenaries using if Ruby needs to be concerned with them hitting her?

I didn't mention it, but the first mercenaries that came after her used bullets that had a poison effect on her if they "touched" her, and she barely purged the effect of one in time. She has to be especially wary.

Evil Dynamo? Relatively weak, but evasive and cunning? The one right under your nose that you don't know about? (Maybe serious, maybe not). Baphumet, who uses skills and tricks? But I'll be honest with you, I have a lot of power focus. But power is a huge factor in my mind, so it makes sense.Look, I'm going to take myself up on my own offer from a while back and say something that's been on my mind. I have awesome things in store, things that nobody would ever expect me to do, but I feel that nothing gets done because I'm the only one here. I can't actually start anything because I'm left alone after five minutes, and I've felt that way for a while now. Like, I've only gotten what, two final bosses in the past year? I feel like I'm restricted between letting you guys do your plots while you are IC, and performing my own, which I never happen to get to, because a lot of the time it feel like whoever is there at the time is about to begin exposition, when it turns out to be small talk.

How about we plan what days we're going to do important things beforehand? That way we don't interrupt each other's plots with our own. So like, "Hey, I have something important I want to do on x day." "Okay then, I won't do anything that day." Or, "I'll move my thing to another day."

That was just me talking about how MR isn't like it was way back when. When I enjoyed it the most. I still don't see how you pulled me not liking your characters from that.Nah, my biggest thing is that with each of your plots, it's all about the next villain simply being more powerful in some physical area than the last. Never a smarter, or more cunning, or deceptive, or stealthy foe. Just power. And any arcs involving traits I just mentioned must have been carried out during one of my absences.

Conflict isn't always man vs. man. Svár's just a part of it. We've got the inexplicable mercs, the ever-increasingly dangerous splitting of Ruby's mind, and at the same time dealing with the emotions of one part loving Arthur and another part hating him. Good literature should not only place focus on living villains, but emotions, nature, etcetera. Man vs. himself is my most preferred of all central conflicts, and it's the biggest focus in the story I'm writing.

Idiot is a really strong word when used outside of humor.

I know that perfectly well. In comparison to me now, the naïveté of me back then is incomprehensibly terrible.

Hey, I have an idea. So right now, you can either stop these guys and capture one or something, or disappear to a place that they can't come to and have fun along the way.

*smirks, and giggles* Let's go then!

Just a game.

A game? What is it a- *ducks to the side an a bullet flies past her* ... Oh no. Not again.

Using the same formula usually yields the same patterns. At risk of being hated for making a joke, your repititive quality is (or was) cutting your plots off without any climactic ending.

I was, to be perfectly frank, rather an idiot. My plots were utterly terrible. Evil Ruby/Melawe failed miserably (although I think I did a good job of tying it into this plot remotely so it wouldn't be a fluke that never had any impact). Spirit's love bout was terribly thought out.
