But all it would look like is disappearing and reappearing.

That's why there's that little bit of reality warping included that induces the effect by nudging the mind in just the right direction based on its confusion of trying to perceive where the object is going.

*is unable to get rid of the shadows before the Beast can destroy them, so the electricity doesn't affect him*

*the blade protrudes from my chest, and I grab it so that it cannot be removed , then I Rocket backwards so that we smash into a vibranium wall that I materialized behind us. I then let go of the sword and go forward to land on my legs which were weakened by spirit*

*as he lands on his legs, Spirit applies a burst of force to weaken them enough for them to shatter on impact*

Because it's a logical impossibility. Nothing can be "just there." It violates the law of cause and effect, for one.

Exactly: It's not "just there." The "is there" is just the best way to describe what's happening--Maddie moving things in and out of the central Page. Because no one can perceive the other Pages aside from her, with a bit of reality bending and moving things in and out, it produces the confusing effect. Other people's minds will try to see where the items are coming from or going into, but the mind just can't, and that extra bit of reality warping finishes up the confusing effect.

Not you. People in general.

How so?

Ingenious!
-Maddie- Not really!

But if you were watching it, it couldn't fool your perception.

What? How wouldn't it fool mine? Just because I know how it works doesn't mean it wouldn't be confusing to actually see it. She's there and she must have always been there but you just know she wasn't but your perception wants you to think she was, and when you realise that it gets more complicated because you realise it's actually only kind of that your perception wants you to think she was always there and it kind of doesn't. And that's added to the same confusion of her not being there; just replace all the "was" with "wasn't" and "wasn't" with "was."

-Maddie- *the bullets instead are not there before they are reaching Maddie*

But this is supposed to be IRL.

I know. When I say the real world I mean a world where there are no powers. Our world. Just because something is illogical doesn't mean it can't happen in our world, just that it's never been witnessed and it probably isn't possible short of supernatural interference. And like so, just because Maddie's "is there" seems illogical doesn't mean it can't happen. We can't possibly imagine it perfectly, though, so it seems illogical, but it can still happen.

Logically, the "is there" doesn't make sense. It will be ferry ferry kewl.

That's the point. It's supposed to be confusing. It couldn't possibly make sense in the real world. It could never happen here. But a roleplay world opens up endless possibilities, including the confusing "is there."
