I don't change my ideas. I have so many underworking systems and logic beneath the IC that can't change at all. This isn't a show, this is a reality.

That certainly solves quite a few problems. Okay then. What's your possible fix then?

There aren't any hidden Codex. Though I could have a possible solution to that. That was a "This is the most confusing thing I've ever read" face.

It hasn't been established in the IC though, nor has anything referred to it or implied it that I can remember. If it hasn't happened, it can be changed. Shows do that all the time.

Oh.

Well there are actually quite a few errors to work through, but that was the simplest course of action.Neither does Pinkie.

Such as?

It doesn't look like an "I don't get it" face.

I don't know. It would be easier to just have him be a Codex that doesn't know it yet.Ughhhhkay. Laters.

It was that simple the whole time? fdsjkjfsfds

I don't get it

Well there are two problems with that. First, when a Codex dies, another being born that instant becomes the next Codex, and not necessarily with the same ability, so killing them would easily achieve those goals. And second, Codex are completely incompatible with magic. Oh, and they're incredibly hard to kill.

Huh. I'll have to think about som-
So, if they're incredibly hard to kill to get rid of the position, why not do something else? Say, blocking up memories and replacing them with fake ones.

bed, ned :[

What now? And Codex don't get to choose who gets to be the next Codex after them; it's distributed according to the System.

Let me rephrase: If a Codex dies, another becomes the next Codex, right? Now, say Elkepzel's position was naturally a threat to some other person. However, if Elkepzel was killed, another would fill the position and nothing would be accomplished. If Elkepzel wasn't killed, but instead he was reborn by some magic, then (I'm supposing) an heir couldn't take his place, so the position would be unfilled for a time. Then the person wouldn't have the threat of that position.

Well the problem with that is that you underestimate Accelerator's apathy.Concerning the idea, I may have to mull it over a bit, although Codex aren't really "reborn," but it's more like their title is passed down to an heir.

That doesn't conflict: An external force rebirthed him. Maybe that external force saw him as a threat, but simply killing him would produce an heir. This option would keep him out of the picture for a longer time.

It wasn't. But was it a hint?

I thought you would be against the idea so I put a few reasons why it could work.
Anyway, idea: So a while back, one of the Codex just disappeared without a trace. They didn't know it, but he was reborn, and Elkepzel now has no idea of his origins. His power deals with the structure of atoms and molecules so it works fine as a Codex power. And now is a good time for Accelerator to, say, recognise Elkepzel's power and ask his name.

Why would I?

I suddenly felt like it was really mean.
