@Willy Vereb I do like the idea of some sort of Orbital Defense System shooting down nukes if they were launched. Kinda keeps warfare conventional to an extent.
I thought more along the lines of an intelligent killsat system striking the origin nation of the nucelar attack. That sounds even more like a deterrent. Of course the advanced sensors and AI make it virtually infallible in its judgement (so by storyline purposes it never makes mistakes). It sounds like a terrible enough deterrent that after the first few failures worldwide nobody is crazy enough to work on WMDs in this setting.

@SigmaWhat do you think of my take on nukes?
And which of the two solutions sound the best?
BTW, how are we supposed to stop the development of nukes?
Nuclear research is the essence of many technologies. Can't we just go for the typical deterrence strategy and look out for bombers?
We can also say that there's an active pre-war defense network in space which shoots down anything over a certain altitude (no ICBMs although no satellites, either).

Alternatively if we want pre-war space network then just say there's an intelligent system which plants retribution against anyone using nuclear weapons or anything reaching the destructive power of the Fat Man or slightly below. Also shoots down spacecrafts trying to explore space in earnest.
If we have BS prewar tech then may as well turn it into a real boogieman.

Once a week is probably doable for me. Preferably during weekends.
My claim is the Kingdom of Hungary.
Also people here keep saying nukes, but nukes dont carve up continents folks. Its been a thousand plus years, civilization was totally reset and sent back to the stone age the planet over by god knows what.
Yeah, let's stop thinking about this as a twenty minutes in the future kind of apocalypse. Nobody knows what happened here. Hell, it's possible we are all part of a long term experiment by our more advanced peers in order to observe the development of "ancient" civilizations.
Anything is possible. And again, 50s X-punk tech can give you tons of leeway with solutions. Basically any crazy tech people were thinking in the 50s is possible here as well as accomplishing a few modern tech with less advanced basis. Because why the hell not? Steampunk, dieselpunk and so on is all about anachronism.

I might take the entirety of Balcans, Poles and some of the Baltics along with pre-WW1 Hungary so I can spread my wings to both directions.
Neo Roman Empire could be cool, actually.
@Willy VerebI haven't yet detailed the Frystobiang and reactionary forces but go ahead, if you want. They can be described when they arrive.
That'd be my intention.

@Willy Verebthat can be done since there will be militias being drawn from all over those islands, not just Geitumo's regiment. When I get time Frystobiang's regiment will be detailed.
Mind if I write the first IC post then?
I think most of the conditions are settled for it and we can smooth over the rest of the details along the run.

@Willy VerebThere will be only token resistance from the naval forces stationed on the islands, yes. Once a far larger and more devastating fleet arrives from the mainland, then the naval battle will kick off in earnest. The land war will be defensive from my side at first as well, until reinforcements can arrive.
Don't go overboard with this, though. I want a decent match and not just you trying to hold on until the cavalry rescues you.
It'd be better if most of your forces will be at hand while reinforcements will be only a concern if the battle is actually in my favor (so as to spice things up).
