Point taken.A mild counter-point, it was less weathering and more warfare that eroded their fortress. After several take overs most of the original stone work was destroyed. In most cases in which they weren't constructed under severe conditions, however, Old Kingdom stonework was preternaturally resilient. A lake forming over it, though, would be effective weathering.

What if there was an unknown Old Kingdom city/town in the depths of the Lake? Some kind of Relic-related or magic-related or whatever else the Relics run on end up weakening the ground below the city, which created a large, uneven crater that filled up with water, whether from weather or more Relic-related incidents.

Just a suggestion.

I don't like to post all the time, I wanted something more to do other than "Tyrell Jumped in a boat."

But jumping on a boat is fun

And the IC is progressing faster than we are. Where the Kalesians broke through the outer city to the docks, and where four or so people went across the lake and set up camp, Myth and Tyrell left the arena and found the docks.
I'm going to have to go on without Sep; the IC is progressing faster than he or I can roleplay in sync, and he's mostly absent. Soz.

'Twas observing monstrous chipmunks in Alida's post-post [signature], when the thought of all the strange combinations of animals in Avatar came to mind, and suddenly wondered, is the world of [insert-the-name-here] consisting of a few such strange hybrids? Twould be a sight indeed.
Does anyone know of something besides Google Doc that allows multiple people to access documents online, and edit online?
I'm in another canoe or something at the docks, Tyrell is on the docks, Altim is on the docks, drama and Marcus and Bor and Researcher are on the opposite shore, and that's what I know. Itani, I assume, is still in the Inner City, as well as the demonic-armor-guy.
Sketchup? Nice.
Myth burst out of the crowd after Tyrell, calling out, "Yup yup yup!" Dashing through the hole in the doorway, he noted that many boats had already launched. Myth ran back and forth a couple times to take in the options, from larger trading ships that two men could never sail, to rowboats and canoes. Settling on a large canoe-y thingy, long and slim with supports to either side, he checked around to see if anyone was coming his way for the particular boat. Noting no one, he hopped in, looking at the oars lying at the bottom of the boat. Uncertain, he slipped the oars to their positions, or just two sets, and took a seat.

"Hey, big-man, let's go! Never been in a boat before, but how hard can it be, right? Oh a black-lady." Looking back, and sighting a black-clad girl already slipping through the crowd, heading towards Tyrell behind a part of the crowd, Myth cautiously lit up his gloves, and fired a bolt of lightning, arcing past the bystanders and the civilians to hit the black-clad woman, tossing her back. His part done, he grabbed what looked like the boat's oars, and held them uncertainly.

If we've got basically standard earth atmosphere, those mountaintop residences should not exceed 5090 m (16700 feet) in height above sea level. Thats the Earth limit for where higher up there is no possibility for growing/raising food. Even then, its hard. Just curious about that kingdom... What made them establish a trade emporium? Wouldn't such make more sense in a society near rivers or major roads?

And for the most part, they don't raise their own food. Outer mountain-towns have farms, but the cities don't bother. It's 'below' them, both figuratively, metaphorically, and literally.
