I'll eventually get a real bio in here.

WIP- wasn't even close to finishing with the backstory, and was going to mess with the personality as I develop the backstory.

And yea, he'll probably be a Titan-class, just didn't edit it. I've been getting a bunch of homework and the like lately, so I'm a bit disorganized and, idk, frazzled?

As for his weird panic attack, he doesn't do that to one person, just a weird sort of thing that's different for each person present. If someone doesn't do anything, he might try to have a staring contest- I certainly do. If someone looks sad, he'll try to be helpful. A bit loopy, but still. However, due to the fact that he doesn't have any problems in Manticore form, and since being a human would be next to useless against all the Shifted forms, then I think one could make exceptions to the human form if everything's good in the Shifted form, and he can still learn in his regular form. After all, it's only when he loses track of something, and it is a bit of exaggerated. For example, I will almost never hug someone irl- my character will be the same. But, other people might not get what I'm saying if I start talking about what _I_ do to show sympathy, but hugs are pretty obvious across the world, I think.

And I substituted flame for poison/venom because somebody suggested it, and it actually kinda evened it out when facing something such as a dragon. The Manticore wouldn't have a chance against a massive dragon or a giant, and fire wouldn't change that. Fire would just make him have to get really close to use it, and he's fast for a Titan. Fire wouldn't be too much of an advantage, and if anything, would be a disadvantage because he'd have to get in really close to use it, and the poison/venom just makes him a bit safer by just shooting, aggravating, and distracting enemies. And I didn't change the arrows; darts and arrows are kinda like the same thing when it comes to projectiles launched from living creatures.

What do you mean, "units?" When I was talking about units, I was referring more as his energy. If he can run ten miles in twenty minutes, then using his power thingy will let him run ten miles in fifteen minutes, and be just as tired. I don't mean for that long of a time span, more like just a few seconds, but yea.

I would've kept with all that I could find about the original mythological creature, except you have massive creatures that could crush the Manticore, even if he was the size of a bus, with a single blow. Others can kill him without even having to get close, or without even him knowing where they are. If I recall, the Manticore and dryads and other creatures like that aren't really meant to go beat up dragons or giants. It'd be like peasants to a knight. That's why I changed it from the original myth; it'd be totally outmatched by anything larger. Based on what I could tell, the Manticore was meant to prey on much less defended creatures- humans. Humans aren't fast, medieval humans didn't have the best ranged weapons nor the best soldiers, and so a fire-breathing lion-thing that can shoot arrows from a scorpion tail would be very effective. When faced against all this magic and stuff, he'd be outmatched, even as a much larger creature. And if he were really small, then his advantages, such as his arrow-shooting tail, would also be shrunk even more. Wherereas before, his little dart-things would be rather large, a Demon-type Manticore would simply be useless against anything larger than a house, and many of these creatures are.

And if I am meant to go behind enemy lines and hunt down smaller support types, such as the dryads, then being the prideful scorpion-tail lion also wouldn't be the best- scorpion tail is a bit hard to hide, since it'd be completely and totally natural to keep it up, as you would see a scorpion keep it up for all-time.

I do understand that my app is unfinished- I said that as the title of the hider, in case you didn't catch it, which appears to be the case- and that the Manticore I made up is very different. The manticore had the head of a man- I changed that, but that also means that its body was about the size of a lion's. I also made the size different. I changed the tail to more of a pincer that shoots darts instead of just a spiky-looking club-tail.

If you want me to go exactly as the myth says, then I wouldn't join, because the Manticore would be the most like the original creature in this roleplay, minus dragons and the like which are giant brutes with powers in the first place, and because it's simply not meant to fight everyone else in the roleplay. It's like bring a butcher knife to a swordfight, or a slingshot to an archery duel.
Offered Name: "Myth Dragon," or just "Myth"

Age: 30-ish

Gender: Human. Oh, er, male.

Relic Description: A pair of gauntlets, with a special, unknown black dye over a strange metal, interlocking pieces like scale or a strange chain-link. The palms and fingers are open to the air, and it appears that the gauntlets are a little large at first, but then fit to one's fingers unless they have want to take them off. Ridges line the fingers, and there are spikes on each knuckle, presumably for hitting. The gloves whisper that the metal type, such as plate or chain link, is called 'chaen.'
Gives the Chosen manipulation of lightning and energy, from the gloves. The gloves essentially allow the wearer to summon energy up into a bolt of lightning, just a constant stream of weak bolts to make up a sort of lightning-thrower, or an actual powerful bolt that could send a man flying. Obviously, it doesn't have an unlimited supply. As the Chosen becomes more familiar the more powerful the bolts are, and the faster the 'mana' in the gloves regenerates. Because the electricity is simply summoned and then directed, it isn't technically magical lightning- that means it isn't magical, and anti-magic spells or the like do not work against it.

Skills: Endurance, Fighting [Sword, sword-shield, or hand-to-hand, calvary], Strong too the point of easily wielding a sword or two, and horse-riding, among various other skills related to swordfighting and the like. Very good rider; prefers calvary and a long awlpike than any other weapon, besides dual swords for on-foot purposes.

Background: The son of a reclusive Blademaster. Because he never really had a mother, and his father was a never-show-weakness, he's grown up proud, and defiant to showing weakness. His father first taught him to read, with fairy tales and histories and all kinds of things, but his real interest was always focused on the powerful dragons, the great beasts that would soar through the air and rain destruction upon its foes. As a little boy, he swore that if dragons were real and he got the chance to meet one, or even to kill one, sadly, he would take it.
When his father had trouble teaching him the points of fighting and battle, and learned of Myth's love of dragons, he told him: "Let me teach you the blade, so that you can someday meet one, through sun or storm, through army or meadow."
After that, he trained and aspired to not only meet a dragon, but become a Blademaster like his father. And he never learned his father's name, either. His mother had left him a note that his father gave to him on his 20th birthday, with two words on it: His name. His father always called him "Myth Dragon" after learning of his love of dragons, because it was a constant source of amusement that his son wished so dearly for the myth of Dragons.
Myth never told anyone his name.

Motivation: Dragons! Adventures! Be a Blademaster! Make a reputation! See the World! What the hell is all this new stuff?!

Theme Song: eh.
WAIT, SHIZ
Explorer-Battlecruiser Exploration group A
In response to the two unknown ships going into the atmosphere of a rather large moon around one of the inner gas giants, shown to be in the liquid-water zone, both of the ships reset their nav. systems and sped towards the moon, fulling intending to check just what the bloody hell is going on.

Of course, they didn't expect to different ships to take to landing on the moon's surface, and the moon to have a large population, of sentient creatures, based on readings when they got closer.

So they went into orbit and debated what to do. They fired off a probe to FTL back to the home system with updates regarding the recent events. By this time, it'd be morning in the capital city, which was identified because of the big-ness of the city and of the palace. Finally reaching a decision, two Tinkerers from the Explorer was picked up by the equivalent of a shuttle from the Battlecruiser, carrying a large guard and their own Tinkerers, and slowly descended towards the city. Identifying a large open space, a plaza or square or somesuch, the shuttle pilots decided, "Let's land there!", and so a shuttle that would crush an apartment building landed in the biggest plaza in town. It had large wheels that each had 3 giant, plastic-rubber titanium-meshed wheels on each of the four landing gears.

If there were any mosaics, they would probably be crushed by the weight of a heavily armored shuttle. As it was, the wings may very well scrape neighboring buildings, though the stubbiness of the craft would prevent the nose or the tail to hit anything. The tail was another odd feature- simply like a fish, where it split into two 'tails' that extended back a bit more than the stubbiness would fit with, and a large, slightly curved fin that extends all the way on the outermost part. No visible engines could be see, besides the ones embedded in the front edge and the back edge of the wings.

From the side, a 3' x 8' door opened outward, a step ladder extending down to the ground from it. From inside came a single Hunter, who looked around, and checked a device on his forearm, before deciding that the air was breathable- barely. Then the rest of them came out, looking about them in their mental sense with unease, unsure why they were even doing anything.

Time to revise Myth.
Name: Lord Rudin
Age: 34
Description: An honorable, renowned Lord that was granted/gained his fief based on his work- hunting down enemies, bandits, and any other who mean harm. Best known for brutality with his cavalry, and known to sometimes not be so honorable when it comes down to combat, and to winning against a superior foe.
Rank: Lord
Rebels or Crown: Crown
Magic ability: Telepathic communication- can communicate with those he wishes through the mind
Weapons: A long awlpike known to bandits and the like as the "Backstabber," and to his men and himself as the "Rudin Spear." An elite cavalry round shield with his symbol on it, which is a rearing black horse on a yellow background, and a long arming sword, meant for both use on horseback and as close combat.

Nation: If under a kingdom, this would be "Fief." So are we Lords of a fief under the Crown, or are we independent kingdoms? Cause a nation is sovereign. A fief isn't.
Banner: A rearing black horse on a yellow background, with a red stripe at the bottom and top. The black horse is of Rudin's mount, and the red stripes are of the blood on a battlefield.
Castle: Castle Curaw
Lands: Lands surrounding Curaw, which is both a castle and a town, and the towns of Bazeck, Nelag, and Ayyike. Coastal region; produces fish, wine, cattle, and silk from an island a short distance offshore.
Specialty: Cavalry, making armor that is essentially the finest silk known to the world, and then layering it dozens of times to create armor that is just as thick as plate armor, lighter, breathes better, and can still stop a sword. Add a bit of leather and iron plates, and it's even more formidable light armor. In addition to cavalry and silk, they also have excellent fish.
Military: Primarily calvary, except for castles and towns, which have regular infantry and archers. Trainers are hired from elsewhere to teach archers and guards, while the calvary is of its own tactics, ideal for the flat terrain near the coast.
Culture: Dark-haired peoples with a proud attitude about them all, even the peasants and street urchins. Celebrate the ending of winter, and coming of summer, and the days that calfs are born. They love gifts, to and from others, and will often bring packs of silk and herds of cattle to anyone whom they really like and think they deserve, always guarded by a column of the calvary.
Other: They love their calvary. Like.... alot. And they love drama, so expect many a dramatic action by them and their calvaries.
I'ma just say hello and try to communicate, fail, and then just walk about. Maybe later, explore some ruins. If somebody starts shooting, whatever. If somebody starts shooting at them, death and destruction upon thee who fired.
On the Explorer
After being thoroughly freaked out at the beginning-to-die creatures, the Tinkerer caught on as the one in front of him began to drift. Because he was the only one with hands, and because of his higher intelligence, he was able to see what was happening. The vacuum was affecting them, where it didn't before. Moving as fast as the magboots let him, the Tinkerer grabbed the one dog-creature, and began 'running' as fast as he could to the airlock. The Hunters trailed behind, not understanding but only understanding that the Tinkerer knew what's up.

Once he reached the airlock, only a short distance away, he essentially threw open the door, jumped into the airlock, waved for only one Hunter to accompany him, and then shut it. Shortly afterwards, the chamber sealed and air began filling the chamber. More carbon dioxide than oxygen, but still with oxygen. Not knowing what the creature needed, or its reactions when it woke up, he set it down in the corner, and had the Hunter stand next to him, ordering him to make sure it didn't hurt him.

However, the ship itself was sending out orders to the others. Two of the Explorers and two of the Battlecruisers were heading out, to new destinations instead of war. It was decided, it seemed, to not pursue the actions of a warring race, and only retaliate if the assailants attempted to take life or land once more. One pair of the two different ships 'ported out to the original destination, while the other pair set out for a new random one.

Resident System of Nouvelle, shortly after Alpha's peoples arrived
Light rippled as faster-than-light drives tore through it, revealing two large ships of differing size, length, armament, and crew appeared. One, was the Explorer, two, was the Battlecruiser. Both were silent and still for several minutes as they continued on a corse from the outside of the system, inwards. Both ships had crews too large to quickly re-establish control of the ship after a long-distance jump.

As they began moving in-system, they began scanning each planet and moon, already designating them with little nicknames, and checking for life or terrability, or the statistics relating to the difficulty and the time period needed to terraform an area or planet. Most of the solid planets showed a good possibility, with a bit of ozone-layer tinkering and other environmental and atmospheric maintence, while others were completely unable to even do that.

It'd take a while for the two ships to reach Nouvelle, though their telescopes may pick them up moving around- they were not small, nor were they shy about lights- they can't see light, so lights aren't a legitimate danger to the stealthiness of a ship. That meant there were quite a few places, such as docking ports, extra pieces of added-on-armor and other aesthetic places where it was just really bright. The main armor pieces of the ship, however, did not have neon tube lights compromising the hull.

Hurray for being a colony! I am the future sight of many wars. Viva la supreme overlords who will uplift me from my technological darkness!

Honestly, if the Valkians were to find your planet moon, they'd probably see if you were a threat, set up a big military base on the planet's another moon to watch, and then colonize the rest of the solar system.
