Gregory Jones

Location: Train to Hogwarts
Interacting:Eva @WhiteStar19

Gregory raised an eyebrow at Eva as she grew nervous and then blushed so profusely. He thought she'd have a little more confidence by now and could take a compliment without going all cherry tomato! His expression was slightly surprised when she literally pulled him into the compartment, but he laughed it off as she shook her head to some thought only she knew. Eva was a mystery like that and Gregory had always just gone with it. She seemed a little different than last year somehow, though he couldn't put a pin on it.

"My summer was fine, reconnected with some of the squad when I visited the old 'hood. Sister and Ma are doing alright, all things considered. Oh! They moved since Stuart's military benefits finally came in, got a nice apartment in Bayonne." Greg informed her, the last delivered with more than little relief and happiness. He couldn't bring himself to smile though at mention of Luke and his usual prickish ways. "Are you serious?! Of all the asshole ways to start the year, he chooses to mess with you?" he had a familiar scowl on his face and his hands were tight fists on his lap. He moved over to her side of the compartment, touching her shoulder here and there. It was definitely out of the socket and the longer it was out, the worse it would get. "I know how to get it back into place, been there." Gregory told her, trying to keep the anger out of his voice. "Just try to relax."

He grabbed his trunk and slid it to the middle of the small space and stood it on its side. Taking a seat on the upended luggage, he felt comfortably level with her and leaned forward. He began to gently massage her shoulder, relaxing the muscles, working his way down and around the affected joint. "As for missing you, of course I did! I don't know how I can cope without having you around. Did you miss me, huh. Did ya?" Gregory asked, a grin finally reaching his face as he teased her right back.

Charles Kemp

Location: Train to Hogwarts
Interacting:Lucas @WhiteStar19 Johnson @HushedWhispers

"Have to give the riffraff something to gawk over, eh?" Charles responded with a superior looking smile. His intentions had been just that, to allow his peers to see the difference between a regular wizard and one of high-stock. To show them their place. He straightened his dark emerald tie momentarily. "How have you been, alright?" Charles asked obligatorily, making himself sound interested. He liked to make people believe he was like the rest of them, pestered by those petty things called emotion. A waste of time, if you asked him. Although Johnson was a very important man this year and might need all the support he could get.

"A little early to be celebrating your victory, Lucas. I did get a match or two in during the summer, played against some of my father's friends, in fact. Good men, didn't let them score however. I think I may have hurt their pride." Charles grinned with a bit too much teeth at the last, relishing in the humiliation of men older and more experience than he was by far. He leaned back in his seat, remembering the red and frustrated wrinkled faces. Old people were funniest that way, too angry to use their head. He pulled out a newspaper to pass the time, but not before sending a raised eyebrow and questioning look Johnson's way. Already, he was practically swooning at the sight of Lucas? "The guy could afford to play a little more hard to get," Charles thought.
Azrael grinned widely when the golem changed into a water formed snake. That was the answer! This creature was thrumming with impressive Elemental magic, seeming to change to best fit the scenario at hand. This was fortunate for Azrael, because he had the perfect magic to counter water. In wordless scream, the rocky armor exploded outward. Azrael's body was suddenly covered in electrical charge, his eyes practically glowing from the power as he activated his Lightning element. The increase speed and agility seemed to slow the world for a few crucial moments and deal with this snake's impressive speed

Azrael changed his course, spinning around the serpent's gaping maw, then plunging the blade into its side. He had felt the wind coming from the serpent's force and counted himself lucky that he had trained so extensively that in only took a moment of concentration to unleash a new element. He let out a strong burst of lightning, sending the current through the creature's liquid body. Through the currents and eddies of water, Azrael thought he saw the core he was supposed to retrieve, although its appearance was disfigured by the refraction of the water.

Metosi never said Shinon's name? o.O
Titan had tried to be as least threatening as he could, but such a feat was hard for the large man to pull off. How was he to convince this girl that he wasn't a threat? She had seen hard times, that he could tell with a closer glance than previously had been allowed. He cleared his throat, hoping to catch the attention of the tailor. Perhaps with another person in the room, she might relax. When she had momentarily coiled, Titan was sure the small girl would attack him there and then. Yet, she visibly seemed to reign herself in, knowing the limitations of the situation.

Her suspicion meant she had known she had caught his interest and that he'd kept eyes on her. Whether she knew it was truly him was another matter, but he assumed that she had her own accurate guess. This was good, for Titan had no time for fools. "Unfortunately, I do not. But no shop will give you clothes on credit or... be particularly grateful for suddenly missing inventory." His deep baritone filled the empty shop with sound, a smile apparent in the tone of his voice. He ventured deeper into the store, looking at a particular fabric that had indeed caught his eyes. He noted strands of metal sewn into the roll. That would make good material for additional pockets. "I do know of a pawnshop that could help you, but the owner isn't there right now either. He's... taken my warning and left before things become.. troublesome, in the marketplace." He let his fingers fall from the unique fabric. Titan turned towards the girl and held out his hand in a friendly gesture.

"I am Rafael. And you are?.." Titan asked, letting the question hang in the air, waiting for her answer.
@JG

Titan had decided to grab a drink while he monitored his Gears' footage. He sat in pub just a little aways from Humphrey's pawn shop, drinking steadily from a pitcher of ale. The woman who had sold him the beverage had nearly told him off for such an outlandish order, until she caught site of him. She dropped the pint glass she'd been wiping clean and it shattered to the floor. Titan had added a few gold coins in apology and she quickly warmed to him. Now he sat in front of a delicious seafood stew, with a pitcher of well brewed beer. It was a good night. Between the last mouthful of fish, turnip, and other delicious ingredients and last mouthful of brew, Titan saw the girl enter the tailors.

She had still seemed lost as she coordinated through the maze that was the marketplace. The girl had seemed nervous as she encountered more and more people, though none seemed overly interested in her. She continually looked over her shoulder and seemed to be looking for someone as if... but no, she couldn't have seen the Gears. This girl was indeed intriguing. He had his drones watch the door as he paid his bill and collected his affairs. The other drinkers gave him a significant berth, not wanting to be accidentally impaled or slashed by one of his impressive weapons.

Before coming in sight of the shop, he made sure his face covering was still in place. He didn't want anyone to know his face in this godforsaken place. Taking time to think of a good cover to be in the shop and his idea in place, Titan proceeded to enter the tailor's as well. Once again, he had to duck to enter the shop and stay slightly slouched. The ceiling in this shop seemed not to have taken people of his stature into account.
No one other than Ava is at her store. I just kind of mentioned that Titan visited a general store and got what he needed.
There's a few of those on the site, for all of those genres and usually most contain multiple genres.

If you haven't roleplayed for awhile, I suggest the Free roleplay section, where post length and quality are pretty lax. A lot of new ideas and topics stream through as well, so you have a pick of different ideas and new topics to join and try out. A lot of posters are kind of put off when a large chunk of story has already been posted, but don't let that happen! Just PM the GM of the topic and see if they're open to new blood! ^-^
@xXSINXx

Krystoff took the large piece and sat up for his next hit. He listened intently as he filled the tube and took another big hit like his last. When he finally exhaled, he fell into a large coughing fit. He placed the bong on her dresser as he coughed, so as not spill the water inside. When he finally had himself under control, he felt rather stoned. "Listen, I'm here for you Alexi, day or night." He lay back on the bed and threw the lighter into her lap. "If you hold onto the hope we give you, as a family, you have nothing to fear, because we've all got your back. But what are these demons saying to you, doing in the dreams?"

He in particular knew what Alexi was going through. More often, he felt peculiar mood swings and changes. His dreams had recently taken dark turns, with twisted scenes that Krystoff barely remembered but was sure he wouldn't want to. He assumed it was the Devil's Fang and his need to use it more and more. The supernaturals around the city had gotten more brazen and numerous, calling for the extra strength the blade bestowed upon him. But it was getting harder to shake its nasty side effects. With Alexi so worried however, he decided not to burden her with his own baggage. He certainly didn't want to turn to any of his brothers either.
I like that idea, if only because Ichiro is a very disciplined kind of character and along with his spirituality would be one of those slow transformations. Plus, I really like the character! lol

I do not mind playing a couple of knuckleheads that are the first to die in the horror movie, though. xD
Maybe for our characters, there could be a mixture? They start mentally degrading, but once the epidemic really starts to spread some may stabilize in the face of tragedy, like some people do. They stay away from the uninfected humans and fight the monsters as well. Would definitely lead to some interesting posts I think.

Gradual change on top of full on monsters would be cool. It would be awesome roleplaying the transition, if you were unlucky enough to be bitten/scratched/whatever. It would also be interesting to see how the characters react to losing their humanity. Would they keep hold of it for as long as possible and help the survivors? Or would they give in and embrace their inner monster? Decisions, decisions...

But I really like this idea too. It would be be very dramatic, degrading our characters' mindsets the more they changed into their monster forms. So I'm leaning towards your second option.
