Class/Weapon Scythe Flicker / Scythe

Are you evil? No
This role play will be a continuation of the .Hack series of games. Some experience with these will be helpful but a simple read through of the wiki page should get most hopefuls up to speed on what this role play will involve. The two sentence summery is there is a full immersion video game called The World which has been found to cause people to fall into a coma. Now in its third generation a new game and mass of players are embarking on the game The World -Final Expantion.

Here is the short summary of the rope plays specific plot.
It has been 5 years since the last UVC (Unexplained Virtual Catastrophe) and the next generation gaming consuls are being released at this years E3 Expo. The event was a smashing success and the big winner was the newest version of The World. This upstate features several massive shifts and is said to 'Bring the world to its fullest potential'. Your character was one of the lucky few to win a free copy of The World v3 and have since been almost overwhelmed with how amazing the game is. For the past three weeks its all you've been talking about and it has started to vet on your friends nerves. Thankfully everyone who won the game at E3 started a guild which is a great place to play and talk about the game. However something unexplainable has started to happen. Members of this guild have begun to disappear from the game entirely. What is happening to them? And why is it every time one of the guild members disappears everyone else gets an email with an impossible coded message?

Good to hear. Hopefully a few more takers will show themselves.
I have a hankering for a .Hack role play. I will share the basic plot idea and let that be the basis on which people decide to join or not. This role play will involve original characters only and will be a continuation of the .Hack video games.

Arn felt like he was the right leader for the group he was assigned. It had all in all a lack of humans which was something he was comfortable with. In fact he was more interested in their stories than he was in his fellow humans. He enjoyed their company as they walked forth to their first target. It hadn't been the path he had voted for, but he wasn't petty enough to share that or have it worry them. Every nation was on their list. The order they went in was simply subjective to each persons desires. His group seem to like to take a hit in the nose and strike back rather than dodge and strike. Fine by Arn. He may fight like an elf, but he had his share of human pride branded in him by his dad. While they slipped into the night he constantly stayed in the back as he watched his team maneuver the shadows.

When the town was behind them he gave himself a proper introduction. He felt compelled to provide some encouragement to his team. He told them he had been asked to lead them and that he was happy to answer the call. He also had their names memorized by morning and was happy he was able to pronounce them though rudimentary in the Orc's name he was still able to say it in one breath by the afternoon of their first day out of town. The time spent after they split from the other group was mostly spent traveling in reasonable silence. Since his time with the elf's had taught him tracking Arn was in the front so he could identify markers left from patrols and help the team avoid any unnecessary attention. Several days later and the team was met with the one thing he hadn't expected.

"Great a brain teaser..." He said looking at the riddles with a look of a man who just lost his last dollar in a poker match. Riddles were never his strong suit. Especially when it came to his villages humor. Joke Killer was a nickname he held for a few summers after so many of the new jokes had gone over his head. Thankfully he was better understanding of Elven humor; however, that is because theirs was based around natural things. Arn remained silent as he listened to his teammates begin to think through the riddles. He heard several ideas that made sense to him. He figured he could be of some help elsewhere. "I'll be back." He said as he walked back on the track they had found for a few hundred feet.

"Thhhhhhffffp! Thhhhffffpp!" Arn called out a few times and then a few times more. He stopped short as he began to listen around him. A few moments later the same call came back almost as an echo only it seemed more strict in tone. Arn smiled as he made the call two more times. "Thhhhhhffffp! Thhhhffffpp!" Again it got a call back only this time it was closer and obviously moving towards him. The young man pulled an arrow from his quiver and watched the direction the call was coming from. A moment later the sound of wings could be heard as a massive waterfowl flew over the trees and into his sights. Arn let fly an arrow that flew straight and true right into the bird. It seemed to go limp and fall instantly towards the ground. Picking up his kill the leader returned to his team. "The best part of dinner goes to whoever opens the door."
I am calling this for me. Wish we had started the IC earlier I think it would have proven to be a better way to get people started and into the role play. I'm out.
Looks around for a post :)
Arn was fatigued after the long journey from his village to the central village known as Burbof . It wasn’t the distance that had made the trek last two weeks, but terrain that threw obstacles in his path. The heavy winter caused several floods to knock out some of the nearest bridges making river crossing impossible on foot. The nearest ferry crossing nearly took him outside of Virnastia’s boarders and added a trip through the northern forest which took time to navigate.

When he finally reached Burbof preparations for the mission at hand were already underway. He had been asked to arrive a few days earlier to go over the possible offer of leading one of the two teams for this pursuit. He had accepted the offer on the condition that he would be allowed to return to his former life upon completion. He had little in the way of interest in military affairs and had volunteered at the opportunity so as to protect his village, not in a hope to seek out violence.

He arrived to the meeting looking tired but at the same point rested. He was alive and well, but the trip had caused him a mild bit of wear and tear. Ready and able he felt the food and drink work wonders on his body and soon enough he was fully awake and listening to the mission as it was presented to the group. He also took some time to look at what could only be described as a rag tag group pulled from a kaleidoscope.

With its central location Virnastia has become a true melting pot for cultures and groups. This is especially true since it is the only place where trade can happen at a global scale. With the large wars merchants have taken to setting up shops in the country so as to avoid strict taxes and closed boarders. The economic boost has been felt as far as Arn’s home village; however, the danger is high that several of these traders are spies.

Arn’s opinion on the mission was high. He liked that it played to their countries abilities having a small army of nearly 1,000 strong meant any engagement would be quickly silenced by the massive armies of the surrounding kingdoms. He also liked it because it was a plan that in its truest form had no goals of killing. He was capable of the act, but had yet to do so from a position of control. He had only committed the act as one of self defense.

The road ahead was a long one, but Arn felt up to the challenge. He wouldn’t have accepted the offer he felt otherwise. The next part would be meeting the team he would be leading. He wrote down on his parchment the desired first target and then dropped it in the hat that would be his team. He had watched a few of the people also vote and began looking them over one by one trying to learn as much as he could from their attire and body language.
