Yes posting it here would be very helpful. Feel free to add anything you really want to into the world we are creating. I don't have a fixed story about the place other than it is barely above the level of complete anarchy.
With two interested parties I will get started on the full write up of the story. I am also hoping to draw up a map of sorts, but my ability to do so is..... very severely lacking. Still this hasn't stopped me before. Also if you want to get a basic idea of your character feel free to get started on your character sheet. Below is a basic idea of things I will ask. Name Age (15 to 18) Appearance Personality Pre Transport Story (What they were like before they were sent to the mythical realm) Post Transport Story (What happen during their year within the mythical realm before they met up with the other students) Hero Object (What is it they found that bestowed them with the heroes traits) Other (Anything and everything that doesn't fit into another section)
I am here.
Okay this role play has a VERY long goal which involves the completion of this role play and then a follow up set five years later. I understand that the likelihood of this being accomplished is closer to 0 than a capital O is; however, I am confident in my ability to lead a select group of role players through as much as possible. The beginning will be a group of students on a field trip who then get transported to a mythical realm of fantasy. The world they are transported to is sick. Sick with monsters killing, unchecked by the kings knights. A monarchy as corrupt as it is greedy. The other races dwarfs, elves, and orcs, and nymphs, are nearing a battle as unchecked human warlords who rule the unregulated areas have made it clear they seen humans as a disease that should be squashed. The students are all transported to different parts of the world into hidden chambers. These chambers hold mountains of gold, jewels, and statues. Through all of these a voice calls out to each of them to to deeper into the chamber. The voice gets louder and louder until finally the owner of the voice is unveiled. Each character will acquire a unique object. This object will be anything they want (most likely a weapon of sorts) and upon grasping the object your character will be granted the skills and abilities of a hero. After this, and through a little adventuring you will explain in your character sheet our characters will reunite under the goal of curing the world of what it is besieged by. Chaos. Feel free to ask questions. I am happy to answer any you might have! With two interested parties I will get started on the full write up of the story. I am back. What did I miss? To the thread!
SOrry I haven't been able to post. Was waiting on posts from others. As of now I need to go on standby mode for likely today and tomorrow. I am at a work function in New Mexico and while plenty of time will be free it will mostly be taken by wanting to hang out with coworkers I only get to see during such events. If someone needs Tim to do something just shoot me a message and i will try to get a super quick write up. If not I leave my character in the capable hands of whoever feels comfortable posting as him. Really as long as we aren't having him die I am pretty comfortable with people taking hold of him for the next day or two. Cheers!
Ha Ha the conversation over the love triangle / square is a perfect example of how it would play out in the role play / comics. Tim is completely oblivious to the entire thing cause he is so focused on the current doomsday plot (This week it is in the form of a work deadline) and by the time he catches up the arguments have been drawn, explained, and a decision has already been made in which he has no say in. Or perhaps it is that Tim still has a way to go in the way of sexual maturity?
Post is up. I know it doesn't really move the fight forward, but it felt the most in character. Next post will have Tim actively engaging in combat.
When the call for the wedding was made Tim moved to the main ballroom where the ceremony was to take place. He took up his position up at the front as one of the grooms men with the ring in his pocket. While not the best man he was asked by Bruce to keep an eye on the rings. It may have been the most nervous Bruce had even been in Tim's lifetime. He was happy it was him who was asked, but he figured this was because the others for some reason or another were uninterested. Still the box was weighed down with more than just a diamond the size of a small car. Ice That is what is running through the veins of every member of the bat family. It is the only way to describe them. After all how many people jump into action as fast as them when armed hit men storm into a room full of people. For Tim it took all of a second to understand the situation. This wasn't a robbery. If it was it was missing the classic Gotham flare for a show. It didn't start with someone shooting the chandelier and begin the age old 'This is a robbery' tag line. Instead it was fast betting on the element of surprise. There was the quarter second between the arrival through the window and the men scanning followed by them firing at... Cassandra who was already jumping into action by literally running at the barrel of a gun. Get people out of here. They have weapons distance and disarm. The plan was already mapped out in Tim's head. The chaos of panic made it difficult to organize the people, but he didn't have to. With a panicked crowd they were easy to understand. Moving to the wall he started typing into the smart board, a computer that controlled most of the house. After the last key stroke every door of the ballroom swung open. The crowded didn't need to be asked to leave. They rushed whatever door was closest. The risk of someone being trampled was there; however, the decision was easy for Tim to make. A crowd able to escape an armed killer was better then a crowd trapped with an armed killer.
With our first scene done I have updated the character connections on my character sheet. You will see that I have edited and added on all main characters I have interacted with. I hope to do this type of update ever two to three character development scenes. As time goes by I will likely add more thoughts and histories between my character and others thereby giving all of us more to write about and give our characters a deeper understanding and history together. If at any time I write something you are not comfortable with or have questions about please feel free to message me and I will be happy to chat and edit upon request :D Cheers and happy Super Bowl Weekend! GO HAWKS!!!!!
