If you are a student who is planning to do the Care of Magical Creatures Open Class day have your character arrive in the next four days at which point I will move my scene forward.
After getting out of the taxi and tipping the driver Devin stood up and look at his surroundings. The city of Istanbul was already awake with the first call to prayer happened over an hour ago. In front of him stood the cities archaeological museum. One of the worlds largest collections of ancient artifacts ranging from before Christ to the modern age. It was a giant treasure box to most of the people in Devin's profession, but they were a different breed. The treasure hunter made his way up the stairs and entered the museum just as the doors were opened to the public.

"Welcome to the Istanbul Museum of Archaeology." A young man said from behind the counter. "If you are part of a city tour your ticket should be in your pamphlet. If not we can process your ticket purchase at the desk to my right." He threw on a fake smile all too common for someone working with thankless tourists all day. Fortunately for him Devin wasn't interested in any treatment. Ambiguity was his friend right now.

"Devin noticed the small calendar in front of the customer service desk and noticed the notches next to today's date. "As-Salāmu `Alaykum" The date was a notch showing that the boy was likely on his first day of fasting for Ramadan.

The young man instantly seemed to relax and responded to the traditional Muslim greeting. "Alaykum As-Salaam. How can I help you sir?"

Devin shifted through his messenger bag and pulled out a security badge. "My name is Matthew Keller. I am here to do a short security inspection of your North display wing I believe it is your observatory and celestial cartography room?" Devin didn't have to hold his breath. He played enough poker badly to know he just had to pretend he belonged.

After a quick spell of typing on the computer the young man nodded his head. "That is the name we have here. I'll just check you in and you can be on your way." The young man took the card and swiped it in. He then seemed to do a few more things and then waved Devin through. A happy smile was added that made Devin smile back.

"Okay now we get to the task at hand..." Devin said to himself as he made his way to the North Wing of the building. His hand went to his bag and touched the small brass object he always kept close to his person.
Been itching to do a fun write with one of a few options. Both are sort of romance/adventure two that don't get along sort of stories. I know they aren't original, but in the end I find the story always fun for a short role play (Few months max) I would be looking for someone who is willing to play a female character not a damsel in distress. Both characters are going to be driving the story after all. Below are some ideas I had.

Spider-Man / Black Cat
In an alternate story line Spider-Man and Black Cat are both doing their part in the city of New York. Black Cat is a modern Robin Hood stealing from all the criminals that betrayed her father while Spider-Man is fighting crime in all its forms. Their paths have crossed more than a few times and every time the young superhero is rendered useless to her charm. During the day the both are students at NYU. What will happen to them will change both their lives? (I have a few ideas of what that is including the two somehow switching the spider powers to Black Cat.)

Romance the Artifact
A young treasure hunter is driven to find the treasure that consumed his father many years ago. After a young archaeologist finds a hint to the whereabouts of the treasure the two make an unflattering pair as they have to go to a not so friendly country that is home to a very greedy warlord who has a bad history with the treasure hunter. (I can play as either character so I left the genders of the characters open.)

Would love to hear from someone about these roles and get started on a story soon. I would want to do these role plays on a tread and am not overly interested in there being anything over Rated R as far as physical acts. Let me know if you have any questions!
With his business done with the lovely Transfiguration professor Devin made his way down the staircase and trough the great hallway to the grounds of the school. Today was a showcase class which meant a large number of non regular students were likely to attend his class. He thought about spicing the class up a little and instead of giving a short lecture about some of the interesting animals that lived in Egypt he decided to bring a little bit of Egypt to the class. He actually got the idea after sitting in on one of Terra's classes. After all it was the ancient Egyptians who had the most fun with Transfiguration.

When he reached the outside classroom along the north side of the grounds near the lake he saw several of the cages holding the creatures the class would be studying. There were three in total and while he was positive many would know at least one, he was excited to share some of the lesser known monsters to the expected class of students. As he heard the next ring of the bell he started to see a few early bird students making their way towards him.

Here but we already knew that. :P
I am willing to continue, but haven't seen a lot of action / movement as far as character interactions. I am happy to make an attempt, but every time I have outside of one time has fallen flat and ignored. Been having to write my character along by himself for the most part.
Currently waiting on @Dahlia Hawthorne and @ScarlettWaters16 before moving my characters to their respected classrooms.

IF you are a character who has a free period and aren't sure what you want to do I will have my professor of Care for Magical Creatures be doing an open lesson (Meaning even if you haven't taken the class you can join) This is how the optional classes recruit students into taking their class so they are at times flooded with 1st and 2nd years, but it should be a good chance to have some character interactions with students outside of your year. Let me know if you are interested.
Oliver Batch @Dahlia Hawthorne

Those that know Mimi know that to be around her is to expect a harsh discussion. Oliver never fully understood the reason for her standoffish nature or brash tone of voice, but he had never seen it as any different than peoples fake friendly ways that ran rampant through the halls of the school. You always knew where you stood with Mimi, and if you didn't for some reason she would make it crystal clear if you any hesitation. "Any interest in grabbing some time in the library this afternoon after the match? Should be pretty free since everyone else is either wallowing in defeat, partying because of victory, or more likely heading into Hogsmeade to ignore the game?" Oliver's tone was very casual. Almost like he was more thinking aloud rather than actually asking a question.

Looking around the great hall he saw plenty of the usual suspects. The large number of sixth years was a nifty counter to the small number of 7th years. Perhaps their year was more academic or for whatever reason just wanted to extend their time at Hogwarts a few more years. Oliver had assumed it was the second option since so many of them were on their houses quidditch teams. Oliver had joined the team for one year, but stepped down since he was leaving on another study abroad the next year. Since then he had enjoyed the games as a spectator. The love of competition was more that drove his interest rather than invested in the actual specifics of the sport.

"Wait isn't it your house playing today? Or am I mistaken?" Olive was now actually asking Mimi a question. One he knew she would know considering her fandom of the sport.
@tipUmmmm wait ever post I have put up so far as been talking about people going to class and professors getting ready for class. That sort of makes all of my posts pointless now...... What should I do?

Devin Coal @ScarlettWaters16
Devin was delighted to hear his proposition was met with equal positivity. “First round is on me then.” He said and then gave a happy smile as Terra laughed. It was infectious as it made him smile even more. Devin turned to leave, but hesitated and became curious about the possibility that Terra had overheard the conversation he had just had with the Headmaster. He cleared his throat and for perhaps the first time at Hogwarts looked somewhat nervous.

After all, there was a difference between asking a girl you like out and asking a girl what she thinks of you. “So I am planning on taking some of the sixth and seventh years to see the leviathan migration in a few weeks. Of course it will be on the shore.” Devin then seemed to pause. “Though you can’t really understand these things from there. It is when you feel the ocean under the boat shift to its whim that you really understand just how colossal they are.” Devin then fell into one of the most dangerous traps he lays out for himself. Talking about animals and how amazing they are.

“I remember when I was younger I went on a leviathan tracking expedition off the Cape of Good Hope. Remarkable whale type. Was the size of a city almost! One crack of its tail sent a tsunami to the nearby coastal region.” Devin realized he was getting himself sidetracked and pardoned himself. “Anyways you think that isn’t reaching too far? I am still getting used to all the oversight this school seems to have and not have at the same time.” Another warm smile came across his face as he scratched the back of his neck. A sign of uncomfortable nervousness he was prone to do when he was feeling nervous.

Just a few moments later a loud chime came ringing through the halls informing students that classes were about to being. Seeing this as a good time to let his fellow professor prep for her own class Devin fought the urge to throw a flirty comment as he left. He fought it all the way till he reached the door. Upon opening it several students came flooding in. Turning back to Terra Devin smiled and with an almost boyish charm wink said “So dress for an active date. I don’t plan on falling for a woman content with just a drink and conversation.”

The giggles, stars, and whispers that followed were humorous to Devin as he left the room and the gorgeous blonde to her class. Devin then made his way down the hallway and along the staircase until he reached his own classroom. There were several students already in the classroom as he made his way to the front of the class. The big smile on his face making everyone in the room smile back.

Oliver Batch @Dahlia Hawthorne

As the clock rang out through the great hall Oliver saw one of his fellow 7th years walk in for breakfast. Looking her normal slightly grouchy self was Mimi. Likely having just rolled out of bed like she often complained about she still looked happily presentable as an example of someone not particularly in a good mood.

Having studied abroad twice and survived his fifth year OWL tests Oliver was low on constant friends he could socialize with at Hogwarts. He never regretted studying abroad; however, the cons hadn’t been as obvious as they were until he started school again after being gone his 6th year. Many of his good friends had left for magical jobs. In fact this was supposedly one of the smallest collection of 7th years Hogwarts had ever seen.

Even the people a year under him were for the most part strangers. The last two years Oliver had either been gone or studying hard with exams. Mimi on the other hand was of the select few that Oliver knew and actually had a history with. Not the kind of history one may expect, but a history none the less.

Since their younger years they had been partnered up for several school projects and that inevitably turned to Mimi being able to stand Oliver. It may not sound like much, but to those in the know that was a pretty big deal.

Oliver walked over to the Syltherin table and set his book aside. “Morning Mimi.” He said with a smile. He knew she was allergic to his good mood, but wasn’t the least bit phased by her sharp eyes as they sent mental lasers at him. Instead he continued with his kindness shields and deflected the lasers with a wink and a cup of coffee. “I take it that Magical History paper did a number on your sleep hours last night?” As Oliver sat down he nabbed a donut from a nearby plate and started snacking on it.
