"sure, but you're weak from blood loss and over exertion most likely so i'm probably going to have to stay with you" he replies evenly as he works on a patch on her foot, doing it quickly but with such percision that she feels it less.she hops down in front of him and looks at him a bit weirdly before saying "my goddess or rather goddesses is the goddess of the moon while her sister is the goddess of the sun. both are benevolent and live in the palace of each respective capital city, ruling the entire world and making the world generally a better place with almost no crime, vast advancements in medicine, magic, and architecture, as well as agricultural pursuits becoming widespread, meaning i have yet to here of someone dying of starvation since they came into power. however due to their immortality and frankly carnal tendencies they've had enough children and enough descendants to spawn an entire species living in tandum with humans: the nephilim... of course however we're the minority so we tend to get treated like shit even though we're descendants of the goddesses.... anything else you'd like to know?" in a tone that implies that the lecture was well scripted and most likely drilled into her at a young age and then held over her head like the nerf bat is held over mine >.>

"Seems odd that the children of such generous and caring goddesses wouldn't be praised and worshipped. Did the Nephlim ever do anything harmful?"
Pulling his cloak from the brambles, Damien answered, "He's nothing. I don't think he exists, for all the care he shows to us in this world. He doesn't speak to anyone. No one has ever seen him. He's supposed to be turning the wheel of life and death... it doens't even matter. Why don't you tell me about your moon goddess?"

"the ghosts i've encountered are harmless creatures. it's wraiths and other similar undead that you should be scared of" she says, shivering at 'wraiths' as she just seems to walk over the obstacles, evenly largely impassable ones as she just seems to find the right footing to cross them, not to mention small assisstance from her wings here and there help

"Alright. Well, we'll go home. I have to tell you that some humans believe in angels. No one has ever seen one though. A lot of them also worship the Elder God. I was raised that way, but I don't believe any longer."
(Waiting on Shikaru.)
Damien laughed out loud at her response. "'Annoying.' Are you kidding?" He shook his head and smiled. The two walked slowly, taking their time around the rocks and drops going down the mountain. "They're terrifying, but I can make them go away. They've never been able to hurt me. Don't tell anyone, but I did start talking to them sometimes. Sometimes I get the feeling they need me, or they want me to do something for them. It's a little disturbing."

They kept on through beautiful trees and wilderness.

"nephili... divine child... winged monster.... which ever you perfer" she replies evenly, although adds the last name with a small note of disdain. she walks with him but makes no move to begin eating any food of her own, however her gaze flicks to his granola every once in a while

"Oh.. sorry. Want some? You'll have to forgive me. I really don't have a lot of friends, because of my... differences." He offers some of the food. "I seem to attract ghosts and the like."

"how far do you think it is from here?" she asks, trying to spot some semblance of civilization from here, thinking it's a city while for all she knew it was a small village consisting of three houses and a goat pin

Damien was already munching on some traveling food. Granola by the looks of it. "I am sure we can get there in a few hours. I have no idea how I got so off the path. There's a river for water on the way, thankfully." He got up and motioned to start walking together. "I suppose I could talk along the way. Are you human, by any chance?"

"i can't hide them like i had for another month" elycia replies, although her tone suggests that she doesn't really care about what other people would think of her, suggesting a few things towards her being used to being something of a pariah. "so which way are these pillars?" she asks evenly, looking for them herself on the edge of a cliff

"Oh that's good. Here, do you see those lines beyond the trees that go straight into the sky? That's the pillars. Zeigsturhl is just south of them. That's where I'm from."

(why not just have them stay?)elysia wakes at his comment, yawning and snuggling up to him a bit before waking a bit more and remembering the situation, causing her sit up straight almost immediately. "you could have slept too... i would have woken up if anything had tryed to attack last night" she replies as she gets up, dusting herself off and flexing her wings, rubbing her shoulder a bit before trying to loosen up

Damien smiles a bit, simply happy to be alive. "I know I would not have been able to sleep if I even tried, but thanks. On the bright side, I can see the pillars, and I can get us home. Er, to my home that is." He tilted his head. "So, people generally don't have wings where I come from. If you can't hide those, you might freak a lot of them out if you came with me."
Excellent. The "sick, old man" impersonation had fooled everyone, and Mithias lost the two investigators by 'disappearing' around a corner. Now atop a building, Mithias stashed his guise. Underneath it, he had a different cloak, two swords, a coiled whip, a rugged pair of boots, belt, and a tough leather vest. A wide-brimmed hat hung on his back from a cord around his neck. A slight grin betrayed his inner excitement over the information he had gathered. A hunting party was going out tonight. Some fledgling hunters would be making their first kills, or dying, but the risk was supposedly low with such a large group. Mithias dashed off to the location.

His aged senses on alert, the rogue vampire stalked the group of humans. There were a few hours with no action, but as soon as the light dimmed to critical, he detected the immortal hunting party. Staying out of their way as well, he monitored, sizing up their members, their leaders, their strengths. Taking them all on would be foolish, but perhaps he could do the humans a small favor...

Jarleth looked like easy prey. Not yet knowing his name, Mithias saw what was about to happen. A werewolf sprung at him, making an incredible leap with extreme height and speed. Dive-rolling at just the right moment, in a flash of black and steel, Mithias severed the wolf's two front paws. The heavy body still crashed into the young human hunter as the beast landed, but oh how it howled and bowled over. The werewolf never saw what hit it. Blood was everywhere. Cold hearted, and thirsty, Mithias appeared nothing more than a pair of softly glowing red eyes in the darkness. The human hunter was obviously freaked out as he backed away and grabbed for weapons. Mithias took a slow step forward. The werewolf shifted to human form. Maimed and thrashing, it's hands were missing, and it bled from stumps. A monster himself, Mithias gestured toward the creature. "Your enemy is suffering. Have you no mercy?" He asked Jarleth.
