"i can't really hide them again for another month... but i'd like to try to avoid religious people if that's all right?" she replies, adding her request with a smile although he could see a bit of fear at what she expected

Leon looks at Grim, his eyes displaying his seriousness, and yet, he was very calm, as if focused on something else other than the task at hand. "Now then..I have a request of my own..is it correct that you're able to sense souls? There's a particular one I'm searching for..." Leon says. Meanwhile, Leon had sensed another being of death a far ways off. Luckily, he's been in that area once and can already envision where he'll be standing. Now on that side of things, an exact copy of Leon, a clone if you will, appears a few feet away from Elycia and Damien. A swarm of crows appeared before them, Leon's double forming from them. "I mean you harm..I've simply come here on a mission of my own." He says to them., hoping to not make them his enemies.

"That's perfectly alright. I have no idea what hunters would do to you, but they might kill you, even if you look alive. I'm just trying to think of where it would be safe for you to stay... What the??" Damien backed up defensively as he saw the crows manifesting into a humanoid form. "Who the hell are you?!"
Looking forward to it.
Wiz hates that.

"ok, but as long as we're stuck together and you need a hug... i don't mind" she says, looking up at him with a small smile, reinforcing her validity in her statement, despite her blush saying she was a bit embarrassed to hug a stranger even if they'd been through some things together

"Heh..." Damien blushed. "It did make me feel better. Thank you. So... what are you able to do to hide those wings? or... do you want me to find some other arrangements for you?" He put a hand to his chin, considering where she could stay.
Damien held onto her with one arm as she hugged him. She seemed to sense the feelings he normally kept hidden as much as possible. Odd how it was far easier to share them with a complete stranger, and an inhuman one at that. He stopped and closed his eyes, trying not to need the hug too much. His skin did have a faint chill to it, which was strange after having been walking a while. "I don't know how to explain it. I've just seen a lot of bad things, and I guess I've lost my faith. You can't tell anyone I said that, ok?"
Tyki said
"tell me. how religious is your home?" she asks evenly, looking like she's preparing for something as she loosens up, flexing her wings a bit

The man's head sank. "Very." He seemed sad, and heaved a sigh. "I owe a lot to the church at Zeigsturhl. They saved my life, raised me as an orphan, taught me everything I know... especially mother Luna. They helped protect me and accepted me even though I was a cursed child." He looked at her, knowing she had no idea what curse he bore. "The magic that affects me is morbid. Humanely sacrificing me was considered in the beginning." he went on, changing the subject. "They are the order of holy knights and hunters that keep us humans safe. They run the city and share their protection with our surrounding neighbors. I once was a devout follower... but lately, I've never felt so abandoned."
Ok... well, sorry Shikaru, but it played out such that Mithias would ditch Rhyss. Short interaction, I guess.
Mithias looked at Rhyss, and for the first time ever, smiled at him. "Thank you, Rhyss. I am in your debt, friend." He nodded at the 'Bunker Buster.' "Then I too will bring such. We will need the firepower to fight the drones on board. Over there. Get in that jet, and start it up. Wait for me." Mithias turned around and pointed at him to emphasize his last words, "Don't try to engage Terebithia without me!" As Rhyss went off the grab the jet, Mithias ran out of sight to grab some gear.

Seeing Mithias Varomere in Magnus' fortress-home in Kilo Point was a surprise for anyone he encountered as he made his way. Still, he was greeted with respect and virtually given whatever he demanded due to his status as part of Magnus' inner circle. Loyalty and responsibility had its advantages.

"What are you... Oh! Mithias? Are you no longer on the Terebithia?"

Mithias kept walking. "No." He answered curtly, but of course, he would be back on it soon.
At least, his headache was almost completely gone. It seemed that as long as he was useful to Stein, he'd be permitted consciousness respite from pain. Being controlled by the enemy like this was shameful and intolerable. Mithias was inwardly tormented by his situation, but had no idea what to do about it.

It seemed odd the way Mithias had phrased himself. A full minute or two went by while Rhyss was pondering how sane his ally might be. As Rhyss waited, somewhere else on the base, another jet engine sounded. By the time Rhyss realized what was going on, which was rather quickly, the other jet was already taking off. Mithias had tricked him and left on his own in another plane. It seemed he was a coniving little devil afterall.

Mithias kept his mind locked up tighter than ever before, thanks to Martin's decision to remove his handicap. He didn't explain to anyone what he had discussed with Stein, nor gave any response to even his brother. He felt he couldn't afford to take any more risks, to lose himself to the control of others. Who knew what Martin might do if he had access to Stein. Sure he was an ally, and family, but he was also unpredictable and very powerful. Stein also had to be contained, even protected, to a certain degree. He also had to leave Rhyss behind, because he alone knew that he would have been taking him to a certain death aboard Terebithia. Mithias gave an exasperated sigh. He wished more than anything that he wasn't completely on his own. Yet, there was still one he could possibly reach out to.

A last desperate plan beginning to formulate in his mind, Mithias had boarded one of Magnus' jets and took off. Now airborn, the smooth sound of the rushing wind calming him as before, Mithais came to a decision. It had been decades. It had been an eternity. It had been his entire life, but it was time that he himself had stopped running. If this was to be his final flight, then there was no time left for pride or stupidity. Stein had set up a chain of events that would wipe out Gabriel's bloodline, Mithias' entire family. He didn't know what would come of it, but he wasn't going to die without his father's counsel.

The sound of air and engines humming at high pitch continued steadily in the background. Mithias closed his eyes as he called out for the attention of one being. "Father... I need to find you. I need to speak with you. Please. I know I am not worthy to be called your son, but I am desperately in need of your counsel. I always have been. I am damaged, the world is at stake. You may be in danger. Please let me come to you." The vampire blinked, staring blankly at his instruments. The jet was coasting on the air, perfectly still as the ground below shot by at over 400 mph. Mithias was still such an emotional creature. He wondered if Stein would have any idea that he was planning on delivering him to Gabriel. Hopefully, that other consciousness was properly suppressed while Mithias remained awake. If he was blacked out up here, they'd both crash and die. Hopefully Stein would have no idea, and BIOPilot wouldn't be able to read his mind or chose to kill what remained of stein within him by knocking the vampire out mid-flight.

Damien frowned. "Well, life isn't fair. That's just the way it is. It would be great if we could just accept our differences and get along, if we all just cared about each other no matter what. But, i guess if everything were perfect like that, there would be no point in it all anyway."

The road was becoming more used and wide. They were getting closer to where humans lived. "Just over that way... home." He smiled.
