Mithais fumbles with the gauntlets, power crystal, hammer, and transcript... until he grows himself 2 more arms. Ah, that's better. He reads the transcript, completely confused as to who this "Matt" person is, but he does recognize his own name. "What is this? ... Wraithblade6?" Quickly scrambles to read the previous writings. Ven, Bug, Drac, Odin, Clarent, Mia... He recognized that name. "Eclipse's ghost? Is Eclipse dead??" Mithias was completely lost. He glanced up at the Daemon. Well, it did look like the thing might be too angry to reason with. Two gauntlets, power crystal, hammer, and a soul-drinking, dimension-cutting blade in arms, Mithias dropped the random transcript and faced Shiva.

Mithias had vanished somewhere off into the runway fields. He had left his beautiful Harley behind him. Mikey could have it for all he cared. Giant blaring box-shaped floodlights angled skyward along the runways, obscuring the ground beneath them in relative blackness. He growled softly to himself. This was unbelievable. Was it truly fate that had delivered this god-forsaken sword into HIS hands? Couldn't Frank and Mikey have gone ANY other direction?? ... He sighed heavily and looked away from the airport to his phone. The information was there. He blinked. "Are you serious?!" Mithias had been looking for a nothing, a negative, a cancellation, but instead he got a spine-chilling confirmation.

Gritting his teeth, and moving quickly, he circled around on foot to the D terminals. Good, bloody God, there was a red, white, and blue Britannia jet sitting on the tarmac, lights blinking, engine running. Mithias stopped, scanning around him. Was that... flames? Great. The building was on fire. No doubt some SOLDIER genius had tried to blow up Void while *inside* the airport. Mithias hesitated, staring at the plane. Some suited attendant stood waiting cordially. He had 15 minutes, well, less now, but he needed this time to think.

Heart beating more rapidly than he would have liked, Mithias mentally scrambled. He could skip this plane, and probably another would be prepared for him another day, or maybe not. But if he stayed in this country, he'd be hunted by his own law-enforcement organization. It was very much a less than ideal situation for one so recently committed to staying alive. On the other hand, he could take the plane. Taking off shouldn't be a problem, and it would get him far from this place as fast as possible. Even if someone found out that he was on this jet, he'd be long gone. There would be no sense in shooting down his plane, because no one would know that he had the swo... Goddamnit! Mithias wanted to shout at the clouds above. He should have killed Mikey.

SOLDIER knew he had the sword, or at least they would as soon as Mikey gave his report. There was no time to lose. Every single second mattered if he wanted to escape.

Mithias ran as a blur toward the jet, phasing to a brisk walk seven steps apart from the boarding steward.

The man jumped, startled, but quickly regained his composure as a white clawed hand extended to him a black cellphone. Mithias only had to wait fractions of a second before the man instinctively took it. The was little doubt he was the "friendly." Pressed, Mithias barked at the baggage handler, "Open the hold." He didn't explain as he wrapped Contagion in his leather jacket and placed it in the luggage compartment of the aircraft himself. "And don't breathe." He stepped out and closed the hold, allowing the attendant to lock it behind him. The sword wouldn't eat through metal, and the air in the cabin should be contained and separate form the air in the hold. The humans shouldn't be harmed during the trip.

Mithias approached the steward and clasped his hands behind his back, waiting for permission. A bullet hole ruined the fabric of his fine suit.

@Wraithblade6

"For my friend, I will help." The dark one states, bowing down. "...Teach me, how to be strong like you. How to protect like you...." The dark one pleas, begging for the angel to teach him to wield the powers of light. However, soon, ships began to appear into orbit, buildings slowly rose from the earth, and men in armor appear, wielding energy weapons.

The empire was being drawn to their emperor, by his might, and will.

Eclipse smiles and places a hand on the dark one's forehead. "I will grant you the use of my divine shield. Call upon Iomedae's grace to protect you or others. My sword will retain its holy power while in your hands. Use it wisely. My corrupted form will not be able to withstand its light. Remember, the Goddess loves all. Be merciful, always give peace a chance. Even the greatest darkness may beg to be brought into the light." And so the ghost faded, and the dark one found itself and its friends surrounded by the soldiers and buildings that had risen out of the ground.
Once again, as per usual upon exiting a portal of any kind, Mithias was particalized by a tremendous, planet-destroying explosion. He hadn't been the target of the blast, but he had clearly been too close, ie. in the same planetary orbit. Moments later, the particles of ash and blood and vapor that had once formed his physical being coalesced back into place, instantly healing, growing skin and hair, and reforming the wings he had just had.

"...yyeeeaarragh!" A string of expletives would have followed, except that the vacuum of space swallowed up the sound. Mithias was again a recognizable physical entity. He looked up, and the first thing he saw was the majority of the left half of a blue, multi-armed god of some sort, and it was angry. Drac floated around close by, clearly drained by whatever he had just done, and then, "Teo?" His lips formed the word, but air was spread out in pockets around the floating chunks of planet.

The vampire had no idea what a Daemon was, nor why Drac had shoved his friends into a portal and given everything he had to kill it, nor where in hell Teo had come from. Teo, the formerly indestructible cartoon creation, for once, looked like shit. He seemed desperate, giving his equipment, even his famous hammer, to Mithias in a last-ditch effort to finish... whatever job Teo and Drac had been doing. It was too bad Mithias understood so little.

Mithias took the items, finding them burdensome, and looked from Teo, to Drac, to the angry, injured god with the rapidly growing, fiery fingernails. Clearly, his allies had wanted to kill this thing, and there was a good chance that Mithias could finish the job, given its injured state, but Mithias didn't move.

Why? Why should he destroy this thing? Simply because it was powerful and ancient? Simply because it was a universal divine? What had it done? Why were they fighting? There wasn't reason enough to destroy something so magnificent.

"Injured god!" Mithias tried communicating with it, as it began to reform itself. "I am no servant of destruction. Forgive my friends. Let us leave, and I will do you no harm."
I'll just have to narrow it down to 5 options:

1. Naked elderly merman.
2. Valcor from the Never Ending Story.
3. A pink fedora.
4. Some really lightweight alien-tech plasma cannon...
5. a tsunami.

...roll!
The demon watched the combatants momentarily, measuring their attributes as only one with his abilities could. The one with the gauntlets was very strong and durable, and apparently well-motivated by something so childish as vengeance. He would make a useful servant. The other... Aeshma scoffed at him. The light-wielder was already pathetically dominated. He was nothing more than a vessel, a cannon.... a nice one, but complete mind control was a pain in the ass.

Aeshma's expression turned sour as one of those abhorrent paladins blithely stepped out. Such arrogance and pride. Aeshma himself fit into that category, and it made him chuckle in the shadows. If he pulled the right strings, he could end up with a new servant and a dead child of the light today. His orange eyes scanned the debri from the exploded weapons shop nearby. Sliding through the shadows, he drew closer. Fate had even provided him free weapons.
