I'm pretty sick. I'll try to get active asap.
I'm pissed you up and left at the last second you were online last night with zero explanation. You know what that makes me think? That you are not having fun. And why would you not be having fun? Because Grey hates you? Well he doesn't hate you. His recent post was not personal. I thought it was great. Perhaps I too have cornered you and stifled your creativity in the story. Maybe this is my fault. I believe you that you have exams, but I question whether or not there is more to it. It really looks suspicious. If it was just exams, you would have said that in your first post.
I suppose I could give her some life. I will do stuff when I get back from work.
Where oh where has our Matthias gone?

Oh.. Oh my. I seem to be floating about in nowhereland. This isn't anywhere near the coffee lounge. Hmm... Maybe you could throw me a line?
The vampire descended into the streets of the civilized world. The moon lit everything brightly, yet to a human, the shadows were as black as pitch. The humans didn't know what they had, nor did anyone else for that matter, except Mithias. Faster than the speed of perception, between frames of the artificial eye, Mithias zipped through the darkness into the museum through a lazily closing back door. He hadn't come for blood, although there would be little convincing of that to the now dead janitor as he lay bloodless on the floor. Red eyes glowing eerily, Mithias was giddy with excitement as he planned his stealth run through the wings of the stuffy old museum. He kept wary of the cameras, picking up on each one by the supersonic hum of its electronics. Finally, he came upon what he sought. It was locked up tightly in a small steel chest behind glass doors. They would know it was missing, so breaking the glass and setting off the alarms really wouldn't change matters any. The doors would lock, but a vampire would escape. It's too bad all the werewolves were away at a meeting tonight.

The alarms had been ringing for five whole minutes before any authorities could arrive on scene, and it was another good ten before anybody found a body. The chest with the artifact was gone.
@MafiaM16Alright. I'll play in this. We need a current plot device. I think we can use this magical artifact of power as a focus and have our characters chase it. I'll volunteer to guard the damn thing and lead you all on a chase if you wish.
I like bloodlines having "themes" in their powers. Gisk, you and I need to gm this. I like your setup. Rumiko, I also really like your ideas about "making it real," in having government regulations etc. However, government could get out of hand.

Let's make an rp with a half masquerade, so players can chose to escape laws as much as possible. I'll make it so that some humans know vampires exist and can become dedicated to destroying them. Otherwise they are urban legend. You can play good, evil, human, vamp, maybe even a rare werewolf here and there. I think I will give my character some kind of motivation to gather others and lead them to victory. People could chose to join me or oppose me; it would be fun.

I'll make the OC either tonight or tomorrow. Pass word or tell me if you want co-gm, have new ideas, etc.
I quit too.
Is there anyone in the room full of ancient vampires who reads ancient Indonesian dialects?

You can bet Mithias doesn't, but if you want to make an npc that does, then great. lol

@Grombus You gonna come get this sword of yours?
Thanks Gisk.

I like an rp where there aren't restrictive limited bloodlines to chose from. I like open choice on character development with the maturity of the players being plenty enough to mitigate utter nonsense. I think age and power shouldn't be limited, however playing a simple human should be just as wondrous and fun due to character depth and the opportunity to write your way out of very dangerous situations. I like danger. I like description. I like when people are into their own ideas and get to drive the plot as much as anyone else. I like when characters start off with some kind of connections already established between each other, like an enmity, family, or attraction. I'm a little older myself, so I'm not into rainbow haircolor and dragons, but a semi-believable world would be perfect.

I really do love the modern world, and allowing some degree of science fiction technology helps level the playing field with humans. I like having vampires being known to exist, but letting players chose whether their character might be still masquerading. I also like incorporating remote ties to angels and demons. I'm not set on any lore for "where vampires came from," but that mystery could evolve in game. Specific weaknesses or styles of turning don't bother me, but explaining vampirism as a virus or with alien worms is gross. I'm also not a huge fan of 'original' or born vampires. IMO immortals just should never get pregnant.
