Humans. The entire planet was swarming with them. More now than ever in the history of the world they were growing, multiplying, changing the environment to suit their needs, and advancing at a pace that vampirekind could barely fathom. Humans were slaughtering other species left and right in the process of their growth. Vampires would be no different. There was no stopping the advancement of technology, and as long as humans ruled the Earth, there would be no place in their hearts for blood drinking, parasitic immortals. There would always be Purge, hunters, and profit hungry aristocrats, and as soon as they had the power, they would eliminate the one species that stood in their way... the guardians of the Earth, the balancers of human life, the vampires.
Even with the creation of SOLDIER and the facade of order and peace, the war had never truly ended. If anything SOLDIER had only accelerated the inevitable, giving humans the time and protection they needed to advance their weaponry against their rivals. Submission would garner no mercy. The only means to survival was to fight, and if all of humanity had to be yolked into slavery, then that was what had to be done.
Months passed, and the vampires, lead by the council of elders, secretly marshaled their forces. The number of kidnappings and turnings skyrocketed to an all time high that The US government and SOLDIER had to initiate a massive cover-up to prevent widespread panic. SOLDIER's hunters were on the move. Sanctuaries were attacked and destroyed, and many others closed down due to threats. Young vampires had to scramble for their lives, having suddenly had their own human families and people they identified with unexpectedly betray them and turn on them. Of course the occult, run by thralls, gladly scooped them up and funneled them into the vampire army. The more hate their was, the bigger the army became, and the more destructive the initial attack would be.
It was midnight when the call of the council was heard world wide. The governmental centers and military headquarters of nine countries were silumtaneously targeted. France was instantly fucked. China, Russia, Egypt, India, Iran, Canada, the US, and Brazil completely lost their operating structure. Presidents were quickly dispatched. Vampires across all the countries went wild with rampage, targeting police, and any threats in their immediate vicinities. As days counted on, some battles were won, some were lost, but vampires forgot their differences and fought together. Small groups claimed certain lands as their own, supporting each other as nightly attacks continued to expand their domains.
The battle for ultimate control was on. Communications were often disrupted on both sides, so it was hard to tell what was going on across the globe. In the US, SOLDIER struggled to hold on, keeping vampires away from airports and hospitals and hidden meeting rooms where strategy could be planned. Kilo Point had remained under SOLDIER control, and was now a critical base of operations. They knew young vampires were weak and old vampires take a very long time to become strong. Killing the elders was the key.
Having already traveled back to the USA ahead of time, Mithais accompanied Mo and Bedivere to reunite with Hale in Tennessee. Tonight, they would attempt to take down Kilo Point.
