Mithias wing-slaps Bug. "Hmmph. It just so happens, I'm prone to fits of rage. Get out of here, Bug, both of you. Alucard is *my* problem, something only *I* can deal with, and I'm going to do it right now." Mithias was angry, but not at Bug or Drac. He was more angry at himself for becoming such a douchebag monster... or whatever part of him that Alucard shared. He didn't explain it, but he didn't want to stand by and watch his-self get destroyed by Drac and Bug, not when there was some future at stake, some story that needed to be told. "Your father is fine, but I'm not letting him kill Alucard."

Drac's volley of fun was suddenly interrupted as his body was once again sliced in half fro behind. As the shock registered, Drac began to fall, turning to see Mithias had attacked him. The vampire's eyes had changed to blood red as he plunged his sword down through Drac's chest and impaled him to the ground below. On top of Drac's torso, Mithias gripped the hilt of the dimension blade; he hadn't used the soul-devouring blade. He leaned his fanged face close to Drac's as he told him, "I'm sorry Drac, but you've done enough 'protecting.' I'm taking it from here. Now pull yourself together again, and this time, grab your son and take a hike. If I have to kill you to stop you, then believe me, I will."

Name: Lord Varimathras

Race: Vampire, pre-curse.

Age: A few centuries.

Appearance:

Equipment: Sword, whip, claws, fangs, armor, stunning beauty.

Abilities (Physical / Magical): Lord Varimathras had incredible magical power before the curse. He had shape shifting and shadowmelding and mind control, but he's lost nearly everything. As a vampire, he is immune to the plague, but the Necromancer queen constantly affects him from her throne in the north. He retains supreme speed and strength and even a little ability to influence the minds of those around him, but the curse has left him a mere shadow of what he was. His greatest weapons now are his age, wisdom, and wit.

Curse Effects: Constantly resisting Vivian's power. She searches for him, promising him the return of his powers once he has given in to her. He would make a powerful pawn.

Affiliation: Wants Vivian dead.

Personality: Sharp, prideful, patient, vengeful, cold, manipulative, sincere.
But 162 OC posts.. and you're in casual interests checks and several other rp's... idk. I'm feeling disheartened. I'm just sayin. I'll go away now.

Just then, Babylon's sensors detected another foreign entity quickly approaching the ship. Odin had to interrupt to inform Matt and request orders.

A white glow, which once zoomed in on and focused, resembled a winged knight jet-propulsed by an illuminated sword, was spotted out in space, on a hyperbolic trajectory that would putt it alongside Babylon in about 4 minutes.

Eclipse was enjoying emulating a comet, and he smiled with delight to finally see the great Babylon coming into view. He had a mission from his goddess, and it would be good to see an old friend once again. Oblivious to his detection, he floated closer in a magical bubble, unimpeded by the vacuum of space.

I don't think we are getting any more players.
Time ticked by, slowly, as perceived by a vampire, and Mithias watched the almost imperceptible drift of a dark grey cloud across the silvery orb above. Between clouds the naked moon was as bright as the sun. Cars went by below, although fewer than there used to be. Mithias could hear hymns being sung a few blocks away as he felt the pulse of his own blood flow though his limb. He was healing, fast.

A rattle sounded as Allison began ascending the metal rungs of the old fire escape aside the apartment complex. Mithias wasn't healed yet, but he still could have run. Lame, he could have dashed, jumped, and even landed several stories down and took off, but something idiotic inside him struck a chord of fury and he stayed. He would make eye-contact with whoever deigned to wound him and face him one on one in the middle of the night. Securing his left blade he drew his gun. Whoever was after him was taking as much time as a human to climb those steel rungs. he watched the top of the fire escape for Allison's appearance, ready to pull the trigger and be done with it, cold as ice.

Finally, the large bore muzzle of a huge gun pointed over the edge of the wall and a woman appeared behind it. Mithias knew right away that was not the same gun that had shot his leg. This human woman had an unidentified sharp-shooter accomplice. Soldier... he narrowed his eyes at her uniform. Surely they both were under watch, and Mithias would rather not be shot in the head next time.

Allison peeked over the brick wall to see what appeared to be a vampire by his stark white skin, clad in some kind of armor and a long coat, leaning against the massive air duct with his left leg favored, standing over a small pool of liquid that reflected the moonlight above. He looked at her, and shadows mostly hid his face and the fact he had a gun. He had wisely lowered his arm. A sword was visibly drawn in his opposite hand and another was at his side, clipped to his belt somehow. Although she couldn't see his eyes, she could tell he was looking right at her, still apparently wounded and unmoving.

Long hair ran down his front, and the ends of his coat wavered in the breeze slightly. The vampire, despite being a hated enemy and a monster, somehow looked majestic, like a leaning black dragon, a creature of fantasy, and Alison would suddenly realize the few times she had ever been this close to one that was still alive. She could even hear the vile fiend's breaths in the night air, so close she was.

Where he stood, Mithias was still out of view of Katya, although Allison could still be seen near the ledge. She could tell her teammate was pointing her gun at something, probably the vampire.

A glint of light off metal showed Allison that Mithias had a handgun in his left hand, closest to her, but his arm was down.

Mithias gazed at her, glared at her, although she could not see it with her human sight. He cursed under his breath. It was just another fucking human SOLDIER. The rage that boiled within him, the same that had been present when Hank was turned was still there, resurfaced again, smouldering, barely within his control. She had to be killed, and it was her own damn fault. All her kind had to be brought back into subjugation. Had to. The time for playing the hero and questioning everything was done. Now, it was his way, or the highway.

Finally, with a voice as sultry and sinister as a brooding demon could perform, he spoke to her, "Why do you hesitate, little girl? Don't you know we are at war?"
Give in to the night.
